Post the biggest mutant rout since Decimation, Logan stands alone, unaware if any of his fellow mutants remain on Earth with him, or indeed are alive! Not withstanding his status as a kill-on-sighting target of the anti-mutant forces, he decides to clean up the clone mess before taking it to ORCHIS alongside strategically chosen partners. Subtitled Last Mutant Standing, Percy uses this volume as a Wolverine team-up vehicle neatly packaged as character growth for Wolverine as he has to accept that one of the biggest personal changes he underwent on Krakoa was trying to do things solo, a regression to earlier times. Not anything special, but good to see an untethered Logan seek a more evolved approach to counter attack. A 7 out of 12, Three Star read for this one.

An okay Wolverine book. I wanted to give this book 3.5 stars. There just was not enough for a round up. I like the artwork, and the story is good carrying on from the events of the latest Hellfire Gala.

Wolverine is one of the last mutants on earth, in hiding from the Orchis forces, but in true Wolverine fashion, the best offence is the best defence is offence. Once he takes out his 3 remaining clones (with a little help), he will place Orchis firmly in his sights. He might even find he has a couple of allies left.

I like contemplation of Wolverine as well, especially whilst he is fighting his clones. What could have been what was avoided and what he had lost. I also like during his battle with the clones it shows how a fight between Hulk and Wolverine shows and would go. The book finishes with a varient cover gallery.

Really entertaining Wolverine team-ups in this one with Orchis as the big bad. Always looking forward to more Wolverine!

Wolvie unites with different partners to get to his three clones remaining.

Too much happens too conveniently and it's not subtle - hey, it's Percy - but at least it's effective. The action is well paced and Logan's dialogue and monologues are pretty well written.

Juan Jose Ryp still excels at bloody violence and Ibrahim Moustafa does a fine job in the final episode.

A no-brainer but a pretty decent one.

A group called Orchis has banned all mutants from Earth and exiled them into space. Wolverine is having none of that, so he's attempting to take Orchis down. Hulk, Captain America, Black Panther, and Spiderman all make appearances to help out. Team ups are usually fun, and this volume is no exception. The Orchis story took place in other X-Men titles, so I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I didn't know to know everything to follow this volume. Next up: Sabretooth War.

This was a fun one to get back into comics with - the team-ups with Bruce, Steve, T'Challa, and Peter Parker were cute. Also Logan and Steve fought in ww together? Therefore Bucky, Steve, and Logan were once a weird little team and I'm kind of obsessed with that concept.
Overall a bit goofy but I've come too far to give up now.

A return to form as Wolverine hunts down loose ends from the previous Beast arc, tying the series into the larger current Marvel landscape in the 616 continuity.

Percy's Wolverine has been knocking it out of the park. I'm calling it right now: BEST Spider-Man/Wolverine team up!

The X-Men are in a gnarly place which makes this collection of team up issues from some of the bigger non-mutants in the Marvel universe work so well. The art is solid and the tone, like almost everything X related of late, is perfect.

Logan’s run of team-ups comes to a close with his final partner being none other than Spider-Man. It’s an odd inclusion since Spidey’s been keeping busy saving Manhattan from the chaos of the Gang War event (there’s even a mention of it in the issue), so how he had time to take a space-ride with Logan is a giant question mark. Wolverine also spends a good chunk of the issue incapacitated after losing consciousness in space. Benjamin Percy writes a lot of Spider-Man dialogue, which is a mix of genuinely funny moments mixed with been-there-done-that one-liners at Logan’s expense. It’s all just a pointless issue that reminds readers that Wolverine has basically been MIA from the rest of his mutant family throughout Fall of X. The ending makes it seem like he’ll be back with X-Force in short order, but he’s also about to get preoccupied with the Sabretooth War event coming up as well.

After the events of the Hellfire Gala, while most mutants left the planet, Logan was able to stay, wanting to both find others who survived, as well as hurt Orchis as much as possible. Still chasing down 3 clones from the "Weapons of X" storyline, Logan knows it's best to not go on your own. Featuring team ups with Hulk, Captain America (Steve Rogers), Black Panther, and Spider-Man (Peter Parker), he is able to do what he does best!
At the end of the Volume, his actions are noticed by Black Tom and Sage, who appear to be mounting a resistance. Guess We'll see how that pans out, but up next for Logan is "Sabretooth War", which should be violent and interesting....
Really enjoying this title!

Four issues of Wolverine teaming up with non-mutant heroes to take down various loose ends from the Percy run, while the main action of the Fall goes on elsewhere. The notion that doing things quietly doesn't come easily to Logan feels odd - surely he's always been at least as much ninja and tracker as berserker? And there's definitely a tension to a story where Ryp is rendering disembowelments quite so lovingly, but which then concludes with a sincere moral about the importance of friendship. Still, as side-book wheel-spinning goes, you could do a lot worse.

Wolverine battles Orchis across a number of playing fields, each time with a new team-up participant. Hulk, Captain America, Black Panther, and Spider-Man pass through the revolving door. Each issue is a relatively fun standalone, but the whole volume feels a bit gimmicky, like Benjamin Percy had to spin his wheels while the Fall of X plays out elsewhere.

This was a decent volume and I enjoyed it for the most part. It sees Logan team up with Hulk to fight against wendigo meanwhile also hunting for the other clones of his from the previous arc and then Cap to steal some auction items which was a ton of fun and I loved the detailed art here and also shows the friendship b/w Cap and Logan and then with Panther in Wakanda vs Jun wei and a guy named Kovu, some weapons dealer, its alright but the last issue with Spider-man, them going cosmic to fight orchis and stark sentinels and those Wolverine soldiers that ORCHIS created (in the pages of duggan's x-men run), that one was awesome.

I love how in the end Logan realized he is stronger together with his friends like this volume showed and why we fight, the people we care for, we fight for them and I just loved the sentiment there and also the friendship between Jeff and Logan was so well done, truly remarkable stuff.

There are flaws in this volume sure, but I am a sucker for these kind of stories and I just love it when heroes team up together and just Logan teaming with other heroes was the best and onto SABRETOOTH WAR NEXT!!

The lone wolf is looking for a pack...

Wolverine is back to basics with the whole mutant population being hunted and himself being targeted by Orchis. He still feels personally responsible for the Beast created Wolvie clones that are on the loose. Luckily, Jeff Bannister is still in place and can help his BFF fix all this business.

I'm glad to see this was back to, what I consider, an old school Wolverine story. Action, dialogue, action, resolution.... This book was saturated in Krakoa business and even X-Force bleed over. I get that it'll happen when your main character is all over your catalog of titles, but sometimes simpler things are just better.

Bonus: Wolverine hides in plain sight because nobody remembers him without his outfit?!
Bonus Bonus: Pulled apart, Logan is...fine? Wouldn't it be top half heavy on one and bottom heavy on the other??

Basically a Wolverine Team-Up collection. He teams up with Bruce Bannister/Hulk to clean up three rogue Logan clones loosed by the Beast. He teams up with Captain America to take a trove of mutant-related stuff off the auction market. He teams up with Black Panther to prevent Orchis from making a deal with a black market mining dude for strange metal from a recently-fallen meteor. And he teams with Spider-Man to try to sneak aboard the Orchis space station with a stolen Orchis ship. The art is decent, though messy at times--Logan often looks unkempt and drunk (and I know that's in keeping with his character, but this is a bit much). And the switch from Juan Jose Ryp to Ibrahim Moustafa on the last issue is a bit jarring.

Last Mutant Standing (37-40). As usual, we've now got the wheel-spinning that has been endemic of the early Fall of X run, as mutants were on the run, and no one could make positive plot movement against Orchis. Wolverine resolves that with a bunch of one-off teamups. Percy has the advantage of needing to close out old plotlines, so we get one issue of killing Wolverine clones and another issue of shutting down the auctioneer, but from there we're on to pointless fights with Orchis. Overall, a pretty forgettable arc other than the need to close up old plotholes (and some nice references to classic Wolverine stories such as Hulk #181 and whatever X-Men issue had the flashback with Captain America and Black Widow) [3/5].

Wolverine teams-up with familiar faces to do some clean-up before Fall Of X and Sabretooth War come a'callin'. I've always said Wolvie works best when he's on a team, but having him bounce off his friends is a good second option. There's an issue for Spider-Man which is especially good, and I like that the Hulk book acknowledges what's going on in Incredible right now too. The Panther story does much the same. Even though Wolvie's an X-Book, this is a good reminder that he's pretty much friends with everyone.

Bit of a short volume at only four issues, but despite being a quick read, this is pretty fun.

There's a comicbook convention where you run an "arc" as a team-up book. This one misses part of the trope because it doesn't have all the guest stars come together at the end to defeat the villain after each is involved in a small part of the plot.

The arc also is confusing because Wolverine is killing Wolverine clones. But (1) aren't the clones entitled to grow? And (2) isn't impossible to kill a Wolverine? See Deadpool, Volume 10: Evil Deadpool

Wolverine remains a character that just is not for me. I got this from the library with some other volumes that tied into X-Force more directly, so I figured I’d read it anyway.

It’s technically the Fall of X, but Logan doesn’t really do anything directly. Instead, he teams up with Hulk, Captain America, Black Panther, and Spider-Man in separate issues to tie up some loose ends of his story.

Nothing really stood out to me from these issues. He’s a loner who does dark stuff for the greater good. I mostly just didn’t care and wanted to get through it to get onto the next Fall of X book to hopefully enjoy it more.

Honestly warrants a 3.5 if it were a thing. This isn’t a bad volume — it’s short, and there’s a narrative thread through all four (Wolverine trying to hunt clones down while getting back at Orchis for destroying Krakoa and disappearing the mutants), and each focuses on a different Marvel character for Logan to team up with. I continue to see Ryp’s art as a less cinematic version of Quitely’s stuff, but it’s pretty solid and violent here without ever being totally grotesque. Overall, the story feels like wheels spinning as by the end, the clones are gone and little else has changed.

Decent book. I think this is the first wolverine book I have ever read and I enjoyed it. Pretty good artwork and some exciting issues that each feature a big marvel character alongside Logan (Hulk, Captain America, Black Panther and Spider-Man).
It’s a well-written book, but quite a thin volume (only 4 issues). Considering the character of Wolverine and the blood/gore in the book, I don’t understand why they feel the need to censor his bad language….?
Overall, good book but didn’t really make me crave to read volumes 1-6.

The last issue of this volume is pretty good but this run of Wolverine has been so up and down and in so tired of it. I need one solid team working on it with no forced tie ins. I didn’t mind the earlier stuff but once he joined the current run of X-Force trying to keep track of his missions got too hard. And then he got dogged down in all the Beast nonsense. It was honestly just refreshing to have him doing something without Beast for the first time this year really.

I'm honestly kind of over Percy's Wolverine, but this volume was something of an improvement. I liked the team-ups and the brisk pace. And I like the rapport with Logan secret agent buddy. But I didn't care for the way it all shook out, or for the criminal under usage of Spider-Man for a plot that didn't make any sense. The end felt like spinning wheels, and now the book's going to close on the big Sabertooth fight, probably leaving Orchis for someone else to deal with.
