Not a good follow-up
This volume spends chapters retelling the story that we just got in volume 1, but from Carlo’s perspective. Then, Carlo sets out to prove his love. But he doesn’t give Gina the mountain of gifts and cards that he’s been collecting for years. No, he decides to seduce her at every opportunity, no matter how much she objects. Because, apparently, if you don’t knee him in the balls, then you aren’t really serious when you say “no”. *facepalm*
I have no objection to sex in my manga, but I can’t stand it when one character send out mixed signals and the other character decides to only listen to the go signals and ignore the stop signals. No means no. If you want to play those games, pick a safe word beforehand.
This story has no real substance. I’m not going to move on to volume 3.
