A fun, spicy, fast paced read.

Fast burn, fake relationship, jealousy, billionaire boyfriend.

I actually would love to see more of Declan and his personality growth. I do wish the characters were fleshed out a bit more. They had a great backstory and could have spent more time delving into it. This is book one of a 5 part series. At the time of writing this review, I believe the remaining books do not focus on Declan and Nadia’s relationship.
Honestly, it’s too bad. The book was a very easy read but along with that there were larger plot holes, poor editing and random time jumps.

So why 4 stars? Because it kept me engaged and wanting more.

I received a ARC copy of this book and read in one sitting.

This book had a lot of potential. It felt rushed towards the end and much of the plot did not flow well together. There were some good moments thought that almost balance the non-good moments.

I was really looking forward to this but it fell a little short to me. I can’t quite place why other than to say it felt rushed and all over the place.

“Broken Office Boyfriend" is a delightful standalone romance that captivated me almost from the very first page.

The author weaves a tale of unexpected encounters, sizzling chemistry, and emotional depth between Nadia, a sassy intern, and Declan Evingston, the arrogant billionaire CEO.

Nadia's journey begins with a whirlwind one night stand with a masked stranger, which sets the stage for a tension filled encounter when she discovers her boss is none other than Declan! 😮 Their fiery arguments and undeniable attraction lead to steamy moments that light up the office!🥵

We watch as Nadia's growth from a hesitant intern, turns into a confident woman asserting her place in a demanding environment. Declan, though cocky and sometimes infuriating, reveals layers of vulnerability that makes him soft (but only for her 😜).

What makes this story stand out is its refreshing approach to the office romance trope. It has the tension, the passion and the inevitable showdown, but I loved the humour and the banter that some office romance miss.
The secret baby subplot adds depth and intrigue, pulling at my heartstrings as Nadia navigates her complex feelings.

Overall, "Broken Office Boyfriend" is a steamy, entertaining read that is perfect for fans of romantic comedies and those who appreciate strong characters.

A satisfying romance that left me longing for more escapades from this dynamic duo. (Maybe a few cameos? 😉)

This book was good. It’s a really fast paced book. Took me 2 hours to finish it (would have finished it sooner but work slowed me down) The story felt like it was rushed! I loved the plot and I honestly wanted to see it continue, but like I said, it felt very rushed. I liked the characters. College student gets an Internship at the biggest company. To celebrate, she goes out with her best friend, she has a one night stand with a masked man. Turns out, it was the CEO of the company!!! Since it was a fast paced story, the spice in it was good. There’s a few more events that happen afterwards but I don’t want to spoil the book for anyone. I felt like this book could have been a lot longer! I would say if you are looking for a fast read, I’d recommend reading this.
Rating it a 4 star because I did love the story and I will read the next book when I want to read a fast paced book.

Fighting For Their Happiness -
It was obvious from the moment Nadia came to work for Declan, that there was an attraction bubbling between the two of them. The sexual tension was off the charts, but they both tried to maintain a professional distance with their continuous bickering. Unfortunately, they were always fighting a losing battle, which led to their lives being upended after their secret was discovered and just after Nadia received life changing news.

Luckily, they were able to find their way back to each other and get the life of happiness they both craved. This may be the first book I have read from Laine Watson, but it was easy to immerse myself in the story. Grab a copy of this enjoyable read.

I received an advanced copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

I finished this is what felt like 10 minutes to me because I couldn’t put it down and it was so fast paced, but it was about an hour to finish this read.

I know a lot of people have a hard time with fast paced romances, age-gaps, pregnancy, and bullying. Those are just a few of the tropes that was in this read.

This is the second book I have read by Laine and I love her books I just think this one felt a little rushed, especially at end of the book. However, I still loved the read and will continue to read her work.

I will be reading the others in the series and reviewing them as well. Hopefully they are longer and more in depth and not as fast paced.

I don’t want to spoil anything so I’m not saying much more other than this an office romance with a senior and an older man and a relationship comes out of it. There are steamy parts I’d rate 🌶️🌶️ and other issues that happen.

I’d say give a shot and find out what you like or don’t like and go from there.

This was a quick fun get to the point type of read. A great pallet cleanser. I almost didn’t want it to end, the characters were great and the building of them was fast paced but had enough information. Spicy, and a all together great time definitely should read!

The story seemed to jump ahead a lot with no notice or transition. Everything happened very fast. This is a quick read. You get masks, hidden identity, boss/employee, billionaire, pregnancy, and fake dating Tropes.

I loved this book. It was such a great story. Very steamy. It kind of bugged me that the MFC didn't recognize the blue eyes, but I guess I am just more of an observant person than this character was. But overall the story wound up being very sweet. Would definitely recommend this series.

Tropes: Age gap, surprise pregnancy, and romance
About the book:
Super sweet and adorable Nadia, a senior in college, is looking for an internship to pay some college debt and frankly to eat. She lands the internship to beat all at Evingston Enterprises, her last hope. Before her first day she goes to a masquerade ball where she forgets her mask and has a one time affair with a masked man that she can't seem to forget.
On her first day she meets Declan, the boss who both infuriates her and intrigues her, what she doesn't know is that Declan is the masked man. This super sweet love story is theirs.
My take on the book:
This book was super fast read, about an hour and half for me. It was a super sweet love story in my opinion. I enjoyed the book, the writing, the plot and the character development. I did think the book could have been longer but having said that the whole story was there. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a fast romance who doesn't mind age gaps or pregnancy.

I loved it!! Very cute and quick read, it’s a little fast paced but it’s got enough detail that it doesn’t seem that way. I loved it, the hint of “touch her and 💀” vibes just topped it off!

It was way too short. Barely a few scenes and too many holes on the story. I feel like it definitely could have had way more details and information.

it was quick and short I wanted more. I feel like this was just the tip of what potential this book could have but if you need a filler book to keep you going this was finished in a couple hrs.

I'm sorry. This book was a bit immature & scattered for me.

The FMC seems like she is supposed to be a bad-ass, stand up for youself, intern; but really just comes off as defiant and one step away from being fired.

The MMC is another alpha, egotistical male with the sense of 'mine'. Crude with a one track mind.

I didn't feel any chemistry between them. Sorry.

Quick read and was able to get it done in under 2 hours! Short, spicy and sweet. I loved the office romance and how it all came together in the end. It did feel a little rushed which is understandable as it’s under 100 pages. I wish the characters were a little more fluffed out but overall a great read.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I couldn’t put it down. I really felt attached to the main characters. I wish the book went on longer. This book as just the right amount of spicy and an intriguing plot. Overall I really enjoyed the story.

Rushed. Literally so rushed and no character building. It was so fast and didn’t hold my attention. It was painful to read as it was so fast. It had such good potential if the writer decided to actually build a story. It was too fast.

It was a decent story, I liked the idea of it but it felt rushed even for a short book. It was also hard to follow at points throughout. It just felt unpolished. There were a few spelling and punctuation errors but overall it was good. I did like how descriptive the job was, it wasn’t just glazed over. I think with some editing and polishing it can be even better!

This was a short spicy read. I was entertained throughout it. I do like longer books do with the concept of the plot and would have enjoyed it with more depth.

Not a bad book by a long chalk but I had to take it from four stars to three as it was so clunky at times and badly edited especially the last three chapters.
It starts off well with two people meeting at a masquerade ball. It's quite spicy which is good, and well written too and then that's when the issues arrive with the editing.
We jump around and suddenly are in a restaurant, someone returns to our main characters table without coming a first time and all the writing seems rushed. It's like a longer story has been condensed.
Not a bad book though and an engaging short read. It just needs to be re read and edited again.
However novellas are meant to be short so it fills that brief quite nicely.
I was given a copy of this book by voracious readers only for an honest review.

The premise to this book sounded amazing - workplace romance, age gap and surprise pregnancy. Unfortunately I was disappointed in the execution of the premise. There was a mixture of POVs, sometimes within the same paragraph and this made the story rather confusing. The story was also lacking detail. While the premise included age gap, not once was this clearly outlined. It was also rather unrealistic. I mean, who goes into a multi-million dollar business and orders people around on their first day as an intern??

This could have been great and with some further work and editing I still think this story could be awesome!

This instalove romance about Declan and Nadia was written from a dual POV. The book starts with them meeting each other at a masquerade ball and having a one night stand. They meet again in the office where Nadia is starting an internship at Declan's company. This book lacked cohesion and the character's emotions fluctuated from one extreme to another. The main characters' behaviour and responses did not match their maturity level and there wasn't much of a storyline. I found myself skim reading most of this book.

I received a copy of this book from voracious readers and I really liked reading it. It was a good length and nothing felt too rushed or dragged out. The characters Nadia and Declan went well together and matched very well. It was the perfect balance of drama and romance without being too cringey. I can definitely see myself reading this again.
And I also recommend this book, if the description entices you go for it!
