A cursed princess. Seven mysterious saviors. A wicked vampire queen who will stop at nothing to destroy them all.

I am Princess Gwyneira, and I swear I did not kill my father.

Sentenced to die by my stepmother, I’m abandoned by her Huntsman. I should have frozen in the snow, but then a magical house saves me.

And not just any house. The enchanted home of seven smolderingly sexy men.

They call themselves dwarves, though they’re the largest men I’ve ever seen.
Dex is their leader, protective of me from the moment I arrive on their doorstep.
Twins Lars and Clay make me laugh after all I've been through.
Byron uses his powerful magic to shield me from harm, while quiet Niko charms my heart and reminds me there's good in the world.
Roan's wounded soul calls to me, and wild-man Ozias is a mystery I desperately want to solve.
Together, they’ve charged themselves with protecting me, and I’m falling for each of them.

But the vampire queen hunting me has a dark secret, one that has poisoned me since I was born. If I can't escape the deadly curse she's placed on me, my seven sexy dwarves will be the first to fall.

Devour this steamy reverse harem fairytale retelling of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves with seven hot protective heroes, a strong heroine, vampires, spice, and more.

As this is a series, there will be a cliffhanger in all books except the conclusion. The series will end with an HEA.

I received this book as an ARC distribution. I enjoyed the new darker take on the Snow White fairytale and the interpretation of the dwarves and the evil queen. The foretelling from the first scene setting the Princesses fate to twist with the dwarves but to also have equal footing with the dark and light magic users was well executed. I look forward to seeing where this story goes in the next books.

Sierra Rowan has brought us another great series. While book 1 focuses on the story and characters, that’s not a bad thing. I’m sure books 2 and 3 will get steamy! I loved the plot and the different take on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I’m in love with the characters. It’s been great getting to know each of them. It’s well written and I can’t wait for book 2!

I voluntarily read and reviewed a free copy of this book provided by Hidden Gems.

I didn't really like this book. I DNFed it in the beginning. Like it starts off with the backstabbing stepmother and the stepdaughter being so naive and stupid... The guys are all like OMGs she's my true love and maybe it was just my mood at the time I read this book but it didn't really make sense to me. Sorry about the short review just don't have a ton of thoughts on this book.

Love,
Ishya
P.S. This is review #78. I only have 22 more reviews to go and only one day. Wish me luck!

4/5 stars - I enjoyed the story so much I read the book in one day!

It was my first time reading a why-choose book. I loved the characters, but I don’t think the trope is for me. I kept expecting her to choose Dex over the rest and stay with him in the end lol. 4 stars either way!

Dull and confusing

This book had so much potential. The story was rushed, discouraging any real connection to the characters development and relationships.

Well, another series I've become addicted to. A new and fresh retelling of Snow White with witches, vampires and giants, Sierra Rowan takes Snow White (renamed Gwyneira) and thrusts her into a journey of self-discovery, dangers and a group of seven "dwarves" to help and fall in love with. I love how Sierra Rowan uses this first novel to delve into the world-building and building context for the rest of the series. Of Snow So White was also well-written and had me devouring it in one day. I can't wait to read the rest.

Thank you, Booksprout and author, Sierra Rowan, for sending me an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This book made me mad because we get a cool premise and some intriguing dark back story and it just falls so flat.

Maybe spoilers?

Snow white has not ever really been a favorite of mine but this sounded worth the read so I picked it up. I am just gonna bullet point my pet peeves with this one.

1) chaotically rushed. This is part of a series but I feel like the author really hit speed up on some of the main characters development, and made her insufferable in other ways. She grows up a princess being lied too and indoctrinated into a society that hates giants. She has sex with one, and then in the span of 3 pages her entire world view has changed and she's ready to take on the throne to help everyone around her....what? It honestly felt like I skipped chapters at one point and went back to see if I had missed something.
2) oof. She is annoying. Naive with a hint of self loathing due to something she had nothing to do with✔️ sexually inexperienced yet automatically lusting over the main characters and giving up her virginity the first day ✔️ somehow going from I don't have magic magic bad, to training every day and not understanding why her magic isn't manifesting....how do you even know you have magic? No one knows but the queen....so?
3) these main men. 7? I always go back to the magic number being 3/4 and gating when twins just get lumped together 0/10 stars for those. I just want more. Not more men, more substance. This story could've been very cool. We could've have extraordinary plot lines and fate and a warring kingdom and loving couples. But alas.

Also no idea how this is rated so high.

Interesting premise that quickly tries to do Too Much. A mostly engaging writing style weighed down by many, MANY repetitive phrases that genuinely annoyed me after a point. A cast split between the genuinely interesting and individual dwarves and a very blank FMC.

I waffled between giving it one star or two, and then finally asked myself “did I tolerate it better than A Song of Ice and Fire?” The answer was yes, so two stars it is.

I was into the premise but had a hard time finishing. The book was insanely repetitive and I found some of the fmc to be wishywashy. One moment she’s shy the next she’s begging to have sex. Idk 🤷🏽‍♀️ also 200 pages of not a lot of plot (or anything else really).

I am a sucker for a good retelling and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. This is a Snow White retelling with a reverse harem and supernatural plot line...what could go wrong.

Princess Gwyneira is our Snow White character and she has the blood of a very strong line of witches as well as the blood of a vampire queen witch running through her veins. All her life she believed that Giants killed her birth mother and that magic would drive her mad. But when her stepmother frames her for killing her own father and sends a huntsman off with her to kill her she learns the truth. On the run she finds the magically hidden house of the dwarves (actually considered Giants) who take her in, teach her magic and teach her the truth of what happened to her mother. To protect her they go on the run and she eventually eats a poisoned apple that kills her. But with the blood of the vampire queen running through her is she actually dead? Can her dwarves bring her back? Can she save her own kingdom as well as the Giants who were falsely imprisoned?

I truly enjoyed the story and while it follows the actual story pretty well the author did really well incorporating the magic and why choose aspects in the story. I truly look forward to reading the rest of this story! I need to know what happens now!

Of Snow So White is the first book in the Forever After: Crimson Snow Trilogy by Sierra Rowan.

In this retelling of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Princess Gwyneira has spent the first 19 years of her life believing that her stepmother, Melisandre, loved and wanted to protect her and her father from the evils outside of the castle. Instead she finds herself accused of her father's murder and awaiting death at the hands of her stepmother's huntsman. She evades death and soon finds safety with seven men who claim her as their own. As much as they want to protect her, they have no idea of the curse Melisandre has bestowed upon their princess. Loving Gwyneira could damn them all.

Book One lays the groundwork for the next two books in the trilogy and focuses less on the steamy byplay between the princess and her men and more on the telling of the story, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as we have two more books to focus on that aspect. Instead we do get to learn more of the background of the characters involved.

Overall the tale is well told and doesn't disappoint as a fractured fairy tale.

There is a young woman named Gwyneira, aka Snow White though. There is also an evil stepmother/queen named Melisandre, and she is a vampire. The Huntsman lets Snow White live, though in the freezing cold it’s not likely, but the vampire queen is not fooled by an animal heart so the search is on, after all the queen cannot finalize her plans without her sacrifice. Seven sexy men who call themselves dwarves, they can save her from the cold, but saving her from the queen may take some help another source.
Anyone familiar with the story of Snow White knows the main character, but this author's vision of them is unique, very well written, and utterly fascinating, I loved them. I especially enjoyed Snow White’s deliciously carnal cravings when it concerns the seven men who rescued her from certain death. This is a dark, twisted, and steamy retelling of a classic fairytale with exciting action, magic, and enough twists in the plot to leave the reader dizzy.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Of snow, so white was a steamy, reverse, harem, fantasy retelling of Snow White! I got it on stuff, your Kindle day, because why not… And ended up having a good time with it.

I finished it quickly, which isn’t saying much because this was only 272 pages, and while I wish some of the relationships/world building had been flushed out more, it was truly just a silly fun romantasy with a few dark elements that I enjoyed.

I liked our FMC Princess Gwyneira, she began the book as a sheltered princess, but after her stepmother framed her for killing the king, she fled and fell into the arms of seven handsome “dwarves.” They aren’t actually dwarves, rather normal sized “humans“ but because they were born in the realm of the Giants, they were considered dwarves. I thought that was a clever way of incorporating that element into the story.

I think I would’ve liked to see a bit more relationship development between Gwyn and the men, and a lot more of them, helping her develop her magic. While I don’t know if I will be continuing with the series, this was a fun quick book.

I think this book had some great potential, but it didn't live up to it for me.

FMC Princess Gwyneira is our Snow White, and she grows up with her father and stepmother after her own mother is killed. I really liked her at first, whilst she was at the palace, you could see her personality, but once she left the palace and met the guys, she just fell a little flat. The way she changed her mind about the enemy was way too quick for someone who had been lied to their entire life.

I loved the way the story made the guys dwarfs. They were human sized giants and outcasts from their society.

The guys were all fun, too many at once to really get to know them very well yet, but they all seem to have green flags. There was no real relationship building, as the guys all jumped in head first with her being their fated.

I magic in the world was a little confusing to understand, as to who should have it and how it was supposed to work.

I enjoy a fairytale retelling and this one was no exception. A play on Snow White, princess Gwyneira has been raised by Melisandre, who was responsible for the passing of the Queen, Gwyneira's mother. For nineteen years, Melisandre has waited to enact her plans. After Gwyneira inadvertantly saw the creatures in Melisandre's magic mirror, her fate is sealed.

The Huntsman that is tasked with removing her heart allows her instead to flee into the forest, Gwyneira comes upon a cabin that had been built by seven dwarves. They are the last of the giant clan; the rest were lost by order of the King after Melisandre claimed they were responsible for the Queen's passing. The dwarves are just trying to stay hidden in the forest, but what will they do with the princess?

This action packed book was so good. Lots of twists that I didn't expect. I'm eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.

This book is fantastic! I need the rest of the serie YESTERDAY

This spin on the story AMAZING. The evil stepmother being a vampire thirsty for more power such a good way of displaying evil.

This story goes so in depth that I can’t wait how this goed further. The seven men that are her mates 😍 have each their own personality and I like them all!

Roan secretly loves her the most and the fact he let it known in the end shows that he trusts her to open up to her!

The spice was everything!!! The way he went feral when she said sir 🥵🔥 and the twin scene was not something I saw coming but Damn 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

If you love the bonds that tie serie you will also love this serie!

Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ (and it’s still building up)

A solid 3/5 stars. Got this on stuff your kindle day. I love a fun retelling of fairytales. This one had vampires, giants, Snow White folklore, and is a reverse harem.

There were definitely a couple spicy scenes, but I honestly was expecting a lot more spice out of this one with it being a reverse harem with 7 giants (“dwarves”) who are all lusting and desire to be with the FMC.

I’m unsure if I’ll continue reading the series. Ended on a cliffhanger. It didn’t have me hooked, but I also appreciate that the author was able to tell this story in less than 300 pages. There was some fun vampire action the last half of the book.

A lot of story telling and things happening but the FMC didn’t have much character development. This was a fun read, light and easy.

I enjoyed this twist on the classic Snow White, include vampires, witches and RH = Heaven! The first book is the baseline telling I’d the past and into the first 19 years of Snows life. Naive to the world and her stepmother told her nothing but lies. Fleeing to the forest she need 7 giants who have magical powers themselves and promise to take care of Snow. I need the twins Clay and Lars in my life and the brooding Roan is sexy. Can’t wait to learn more about the 7 in the next book as we inky got to see bits of the men. And a deeper look at the twins this go round.

Of Snow so White contained the majority of what the fairy tale Snow White (which is what this book is kinda based on) in it but its a darker and more steamier version of it. Princess Gwyneira (Snow White FMC) has grown up with Melisandre (her stepmother) but she had her own agenda and when the Princess' father dies her life is danger. That in turn leads her to seven dwarves - Dex, Roan, Niko, Clay, Byron, Ozias and Lars. Bringing on all sorts of steamy scenarios that were hot as hell!!

Great plot twists and turns and a cliffhanger ending that left me on tenterhooks. I enjoyed this first book in this series and I'm looking forward to the next book.

I love fairytales, but what I love even more is a well written retelling of a classic and this is just that! The author stays true to the original fairytale, but changes the character names and adds in a few twists that really brings this retelling to life. The story is well balanced and the characters are well rounded and easy to connect to. Filled with action, urgency, and some really spicy scenes, I found it difficult to put down. The unique storyline really keeps you hooked, as well as the different points of view from multiple characters. I love the cliffhanger ending that leaves you wanting more and waiting not so patiently for the next installment in the series!

3/5 stars

I honestly cannot believe that this is the first book that I have read in 2024. I marked this book as DNF, and I gave up on it about a month ago. Then the last “Stuff your Kindle Day” of 2023 happened and I saw a book that sounded good and I downloaded it. That book turned out to be this one and I was like “dang it…” against my better judgment I continued from where I left off (30ish percent) and then would go to finish the book.

Honestly it was better than I thought it would be. Does this mean I am going to continue on with the series? No. But I am glad that I finished this book. I absolutely love the premise of the book, and I thought that it was executed pretty well.

'Indulge yourself in this steamy why choose fantasy romance retelling of Snow White with seven protective heroes, a strong heroine, vampires, spice, and more!'

The characters drove the storyline and they were very compelling and complex and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and exciting and well paced. World building was excellent and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.
