this book really blew. it was a waste of time. but i just checked it out so whatever. it was written in british slang and was really annoying.
there were two essays i enjoyed and one was about the spiritual advocacy of prostitutes and the other was about suicide.
the one about whores kind of explained selling the body as being a way of showing faith in something higher than the material world we're on. selling the carnal desires to save the soul. i kinda liked it.
the suicide one .. i don't remember what all it said but it was really, really cool. it said something about how death is the one thing we can't really capitalize on .. anyway, if you come across the book and read the very last pages, it's someone's really enlightening and brilliant suicide note. neat, neat neat.
otherwise, the rest is garbage but i think that the book knew that so i give it more than one star.
One of those books that told it like it really is - irreverent, debauched and holds no punches dissecting and looking at the quick fix society we live in today.
