This book is a collection of short essays and commentaries by Dr. Bruce Perry, a world renowned expert on teacher, researcher and clinician. His thoughtful and provocative comments will stimulate deeper thought on how we raise our children and build our communities.
Bruce D. Perry is an American psychiatrist, currently the senior fellow of the Child Trauma Academy in Houston, Texas and an adjunct professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois.
Collection of shorts that, taken together, provide a survey of reasons why early childhood is a crucial period. A shallow sampler of psychology, neuroscience, policy critique, anecdote, and preaching. Not completely unhelpful; but not rigorously informative either. Needs a thorough copy edit!
