The drama omg. This is mainly about the crime and the mystery, but I love the little pockets of romance as these two get a little closer. These stressful situations are pushing them closer together and making them confront their feelings while also not giving them a ton of time to be able to explore them. It's very fast paced and a pretty good time.

I keep telling myself one more chapter and then suddenly I have read another volume. I am hooked. This is really super cute and our slow burn is burning more. The action is easy to follow as well as the fight scenes. I love seeing how much they genuinely care about each other and those important to them.

I don't know how a series this dark and stressful can be so relaxing.
There wasn't much room for funny content this time, other than a few bonus comics at the end, but somehow it still just felt...I don't know. Like everything would be okay, even in the midst of hazardous confrontations and gunfights and loved ones being put in mortal peril.
That, I think, is how Shiro feels when Ichiro is around...that no matter how awful things get, there's someone solidly there for support, to fight for and beside. That emotional core really holds the story together and conveys those emotions directly to the reader.
Some of the logistical stuff still doesn't entirely make sense to me, like how J seems omnipresent except for our four main characters being able to continue talking to each other during the entirety of the five days that Ichiro and Shiro were holed up in a love hotel. But that's fine. Maybe he has his reasons for not making a move on everyone right away.
Other than the assassin lady coming after Rion again, most of the danger is actually the prime minister's plot this time - finding out from his son that Shiro has been using and spying on him, and siccing two branches of the yakuza on him in an attempt to take him out in turn. I'm not sure J would consider that a proof of his loyalty, but maybe it's enough for him to sit back for a bit to see how things play out.
I liked the bit with J manipulating Ichiro into separating from Shiro to protect Chika: his childhood friend and former crush. Former definitely seems accurate at this point, based on how he was interacting with her, and the fact that he absolutely could not stop thinking about Shiro for a second.
Loved the "I'll never leave you again" declaration when he went back for Shiro, and just...everything about their dynamic. It's so, so good and has been developed so well. I love a slowburn that's all about building up the emotional connection before diving into anything romantic. I have a feeling some readers (especially manhwa fans...) would find that aspect dragged out or disappointing, but it's one of the things I'm enjoying the most.
At this point, their care for each other is so visible and so strong, with a foundation that really seems built to last. I'm excited to see how the plotty bits work out, and what happens with the two of them after. (And I hope everyone important makes it out alive...I was worried about Rion in this volume, but it doesn't seem so far like it's going to get that dark. We'll see.)

Volume con molta azione e forse in questo volume inizia il riscatto dei buoni. Quando sembrava che Lon fosse sempre un passo avanti a loro questa volta i protagonisti riescono a giocare ad armi pari, almeno con il suo sicario. Infatti nonostante il depistaggio di Ichiro, non abbandona nel momento del bisogno Shiro, che è riuscito a far confessare il primo ministro di aver insabbiato l’attentato. Il primo ministro però ha incastrato Shiro in una trappola alleandosi con una controparte mafiosa, pensando di sistemarlo una volta per tutte, ma in soccorso arriva Ichiro a salvare la situazione ed insieme vanno a salvare Rion che stava combattendo con il cecchino di Lon. Insomma tutti salvano tutti e almeno ancora per questo volume, i personaggi sono tutti ancora vivi.
Momento fangirl: ma quando si separano e Ichiro ha paura di perdere Shiro e Shiro lo BACIA per rassicurarlo? Ho volato altissimo!

The plot is keeping me on my toes.
Whenever I read a volume of Kei x Yaku, time flies.
As soon as I reach the last page : I'm always thinking "so soon?!"
I can't wait to be in end May to get to volume 6.
The little bonus scenes put a fine layer of balm on my impatience, but mostly I want to know the end of the plot!
Fortunately, it seems the publisher decided to speed-publish the manga to catch up to the original version. They already are at vol. 12 published!

Shiro is bold!! I'm so glad I just happened to pick up this series because it has all the right elements. We see our favorite couple start to rely more on each other and secrets are starting to be revealed. And then of course it ends on a cliff hanger, hehe (internal screaming bc I need the next books already).

How long will I be blueballed like this, I just want one kiss 😩 That said, an action-packed volume with some important plot stuff happening and some very cute bonus chapters. As always, impatiently looking forward to the next volume.

Another solid volume. I love that these two are getting closer as they are polar opposites. I also am enjoying the drama they seem to be caught up in. Not a perfect volume but pretty great.
