After the battle with Malroz, Ariella is still the hunted angel with huge reward on her head. Hiding in a library that is considered a myth, she gets to know powerful witches that can aid her in her quest to retrieve her magic, but it also has a certain downside - now she has to live at the same place as Levi, about whom she has too many conflicting feelings. Yet she can definitely benefit from any kind of protection against the angels, only gradually uncovering how far the treachery in their ranks go..
The second book in the series was very fast paced and dramatic, with emotional ups and downs, and many uncovered secrets - yet we are not at the end of the string of surprises for sure. Especially not after that last wish. I love the banter between Levi and Ariella, them going back and forth, blaming everything possible on the bond, being hot and cold. I also enjoy the other characters, and am curious about what comes next.

Another great, fun read from Ms Haygert!

The only issue that came up for me is I am a senior with medical issues & have no memory of reading book one 2 months ago; so I in effect read this as a stand alone. When I reached a point where I was able to immerse myself in this series' world, it really was enjoyable!

An angel & a demon have an emotional bond, & much of this book is about them dealing with it, & about a frame up by powerful angels of the angel protagonist.

And somewhat ironic with the previous paragraph, I can't wait for books 3 & 4! I hope they are soon.

IMO, Ms Haygert is without question in the top 5 of modern indy fantasy writers. If you haven't read her work yet, don't wait!!!

Light Magic is the second book in the Rite World: Fallen Angel series by Juliana Haygert. I love Ariella and Levi's Hot-Cold, Argue-y bantering. They're a lot of fun! Like book one, there's a lot of action. Just when Ariella starts to feel comfy somewhere. Boom! She's found! Levi spent some time away this time around. He was missed, as I definitely like it better when he's around. These books definitely keep me entertained. We got some surprises and twists, and I look forward to seeing where things go next.

Okay friends buckle up and have frying pans ready bc boy do I want to hit this female lead in the face with frying pans….. unseasoned skillet to be exact….
Yes she’s witty sassy attitude and the spice be spicing buttttt this girllll like come on…….Male lead is embodiment of like every male lead bad but good guy in the dramas that you squeal blush and need more of….. like come on “Sweetheart” like ughhhhhh yesss but girlllllllll…..

Read the blooody thing you won’t regret it and let me know when we ride to go at the female lead bc I swear if she doesn’t get her priorities in line im slashing her magic and shadow style

I loved this free. I loved the dynamic of Ariella and Levi in this book. Their love-hate relationship is spectacular, I still think Levi deserves a punch for cheating on her. I love how this world continues to expand and it's impressive the way it does.
The new characters are spectacular and I loved how beloved characters make appearances all concerned about Ariella. It's time for that angel to realize that she has great friends.
I can't wait to read the next book, after that heart-stopping ending.

Book 2 is another fun one! Interesting action, exciting danger, and a cool world! I don’t fully love the characters; some of their decisions annoy, but the story is still very entertaining and they are growing on me! I like the contention and connection between Ariella and Levi. Enjoy the demon and fallen angel angle. Levi and Ariella aren’t exactly on the best of terms. I appreciate Ariella’s tenacity! This lady is dealing with quite a bit, but she continues to search for a way to improve her situation. Interested to read where these characters end up!

4.5 Stars! I’m really enjoying this world plus seeing other characters in cameos. I loved book 1, book 2 was a little slow for me to warm up to Ariella again, which means it was a really great book when the author can make you frustrated with a character. I just thought she was too harsh on Levi. I really love Levi and his character. Toward the end I started seeing more from Ariella. Hot scenes, and a few twists we didn’t see coming, waiting for that next book.

Book two and the action and adventure ensues. Ariella's journey continues in this spellbinding urban fantasy and the author once again has us enthralled and captivated and in the edge of our seat with the many twists and turns and surprises. Love Levi and Ariella love / hate relationship , love the world building that continues to draw you in and especially love this gripping and exciting storyline that has you hooked from start to finish. A fantastic addition to this world!

Ariella and Levi are still hot and cold in this book as in the first. I would highly recommend not reading this as a stand alone and reading dark wings first - but you can read these without having read any of the other rite world novels. This book was fast paced and went by fast for me. I enjoyed every moment and can't wait for book 3! The characters are great and keep your interest this won't let you down.

Another deep dive into finding Ariella's magic and her celestial sword. Trying to figure out how to get it back. Who's behind all the supernaturals hunting her to get her back to Elysium. She's also trying to fight the bond between her and Levi. But also trying to figure out if she truly has feelings for him. We go on a rollercoaster here with a few twists and turns you're not expecting. That ending was definitely not what I saw coming either. Now I can't wait for the next book.

This is the second part of the Fallen Angel series. The books should be read in order. This series is part of the Rite World, but you don't have to read the other series first.
I loved the main characters, the world building and character development, the tension and spicy scenes and the unexpected turns.
I can't wait for the next part.

I was curious to see where book 2 would take us, and I was not disappointed! Much of the story took place in a setting that will feel almost cozy to readers. That is not to say, though, that this book is without its action-packed moments and will they/won’t they tug-of-war. Especially after the spectacular ending to this book, I am already counting down the days until the next installment!

Following on from dark wings, light magic continues on with Ariella on her next mission to recover her lost magic all in the hopes to clear her name. With her bond to Levi now gone, or so she thinks, it's a race against all the supernaturals to recover her magic and find who is responsible for her downfall and being hunted. With a shocking betrayal and twists, enough steam to flustered, come along for journey. It won't disappoint.

Book 2 picks up where book 1 left us.
It's nonstop action, a race to get her wings and magic back.
Ariella doesn't know who to trust anymore, Levi is a pain and she wants the bond gone just like he does.

With the help of many there may be some hope.
Action and Betrayal are unending, and the spice between Ariella, and Levi is off the charts... Book three here I come!

As Ariella's journey continues in this (second) book, I was surprised by some events and emotions. The world building definitely continues in this book and I really like the newly introduced characters. They add to the mix and dynamics nicely and I can't wait to start book 3!
