Here's my favorite part:
“I always wanted a daughter-in-law ruthless enough to deserve the family name.” He stands to leave. “I know you won’t disappoint me.” His hand clasps my shoulder for a brief second. Then he walks out the door.
THAT'S THE KIND OF CAREER/POWER STUFF WE ONLY GET FOR MEN IN THESE DARK ROMANCES. I fell in love.

I really liked this book. I’m guilty of liking morally grey possessive men so it doesn’t surprise me i’m obsessed with Shane. I love a man that’s psycho but will do anything for his girl. The chemistry and tension between them was perfect. It took me awhile to get into but once I was I was hooked. I do wish that it was a bit longer so that we could’ve seen more of Shane and Meghan together.
Overall I enjoyed this book. If you’re looking for a short dark romance with cat and mouse vibes I recommend it.

Couldn’t not put Hostile Takeover down!!! I finished the book in less than 24 hours. The amount of detail that went into every line of this book really paints you a visual picture. It’s almost as if I actually know Meghan. If you love dark romance and a classic game of cat and mouse, this is a book for you. 5 stars!
