Now that it’s been a year since the loss of her best friend, Serenity begins to start fresh. She finally seems to have her life together. She has a new internship, a new romantic relationship, enhanced powers, and new friendships. But is that new life too good to be true?
Just when everything is going so well, Serenity’s world is turned upside down once again by a new warlock who is far more dangerous and ruthless than any other warlock she has ever encountered.
Not only is Serenity’s life in desperate danger, but her family and friends are as well. Should she embrace her dark magic or choose to continue in the light?
At times, there appear to be pages out of order. I’m not sure about that. Or the narrative splits into multiple, possible threads. Maybe.
The overall storyline of Serenity vs Priscilla twists and turns. Loved ones lost along the way. The novel stands on its own well enough; I’d read the first one but not the second.
If you’re into clean fantasy romance, this one’s intriguing and tense. Lots of moral choices and repercussions; some strong love interests to sweeten the witches brew.
