Witch Cursed in Westerham

This is pure escapism. I love the horn that goes quack and I especially enjoyed the episode with squirrelzilla. Lily is the center of an interesting group of family and friends who make her life interesting to say the least.

A witch without magick? The gang of eight forced to fight absent power? A time constraint in real life because I need to do a Fresh Start to let me download a new update to Windows 10? Why not!

Lily's ability to think outside the box solves the first two, and an unusual ability to draw on the river of power stops a crime. My own stubbornness and an engrossing story helped with the third. While the Cozy Mystery genre almost requires a happy ending, getting there is the author's job. Dionne Lister is up to the challenge in a smooth, well paced story.

If you like the Cozy Mystery, you'll enjoy this book. A word of caution. As a series, it's very able to stand alone, but becomes excellent if read in order of the stories.

A FEW SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW

Witch Cursed starts off with a bang. And a mess. Magic related thefts all over the place. And attack on PIB HQ and sgents are cursed. Magic goes awry. Will's Ranger turns into a large rubber duck that goes "Quack" when one pushes the horn.

But the threat is real, both inside and outside the PIB HQ. Someone on the inside is sending messages that write in the air, then disappear. Angelica is replaced On the outside, five people are killed by five bolts of lightening.

While there is a lot of fun in this one, things take a dark turn as London Bridge is threatened with literally falling down.

One thing for sure, though, Lily's magic continues to grow.

I love this series, Lily is the best character she finds ways to laugh even when things are going all wrong, and the two funniest things are trying to picture Squirrelzilla & the Quackmobile... I highly recommend reading the whole series, I can't wait too see what's next for Lily, Will, James, Millicent, Olivia, Beren, Angelica, and the rest of the PIB

A giant squirrel. Lol. Only Lily. I can’t believe they put Ma’am on suspension but it makes sense there’s a behind the scenes battle going on we don’t know about. Hopefully Chad goes away soon. I like the addition of Richard helping out with the tattoo given his background so I hope he’s in the next books a little more.

Quackmobile

That car is just hilarious! There are times that Lily has no idea about magic and others were she seems to be big, better then everyone else. It will be interesting to see where this series goes from here.

If I had questions before, I think I"m ready to cast my verdict: Will is an asshole who doesn't deserve Lily. He's nothing but condescending and controling and I can't see a single reason for her to be living with this guy. He makes i clear in all of their interactions that he really doesn't give her the resepct she deserves, and as a consequence, she's accepted the role of adorable idiot in the relationship, when in fact her actions through the serious indicate that she is quite intelligent, creative, and talented. And the fact that her brother is either oblivious to or ok with Will treating his sister this way is a huge brother fail. Don't stand for it Lily!! Make him earn your love. Honestly, my ratings for the entire serious would be higher if it wasn't for the fact that I'm so bothered by the way Lily is continually put down by other characters who claim to care about her.

Beware ⚠️.. This will make you laugh out loud!
So the directors at PIB are looking rid of Angelica but Lilly will not let this happen of course.

Loads of crimes are being committed, a curse hits the PIB. Lily as per finds the funny in it even though it's no joke.

Lily und ihre Gang arbeiten auf Hochtouren um den Ursprung zu finden.
Wieder eine super Storyline, mit tollen Charakteren und natürlich sind alle unsere Lieblinge wieder mit dabei.
