"Because at the end of the day when the lights go out and your friends go home. When the radio dies before the world ends. When the stars call out in pain. There is a road you can always walk to help you find your way. But it's not where you end up or where you started that matters. It's the pavement in between."
Killjoys. "It's time to do it now and do it loud." "Killjoys, Make some noise!"
This series was such a fun and light read. The events and everything is very rushed yes, and you don’t get enough insight on the characters, but it was still a very chill read and I really enjoyed it. It is fun to have companion series with the album, the story is as mellow as the music is which I really like. I always thought of Danger Days as softy disguised as a tough guy, and i think the same goes for the comics as well. Disclaimer though you do need to know the backstory of the album to be able to understand what is happening here. Can’t wait to actually see this he turned into a tv show that will be so huge and fun to watch!! I’m reading National Anthem next.
DUUUUUUUUDE. so amazing omg, and the fact that this is related to Danger Days that it's one of my favorite albums just makes the thing even better. the end it's a little confusing but still, it's incredibly
When I first heard the there was going to be a comic book series inspired by danger days, I was curious. I had never read a comic book before - ever, and I'm glad that these were the stories that introduced me to the medium. I felt so attached to all of the characters, as not only did I feel like I could see partly into their soul, but also partway into their history and their future. After crying at the end of the last one, bringing it into school to show all of my friends, and having reread the whole series countless times, (sometimes more than 10 in one day)I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to comics, because these were not difficult to read. After listening to MCR for ten years, and coming to feel like I knew what Gerard Way would be saying even if he's trying to be super cryptic, these comics have become a part of me just like the music that goes with them. I do have some things with these comics that were downsides, though. I felt sometimes that I might have missed some important information, or skipped a page by mistake, and I think this was because there was just not enough issues. I think that (and this isn't breakup sadness talking)that the comics could have fit in a lot more plot and details into the true lives of the fabulous killjoys than was given. On one hand, this means that I feel like I'm missing some information that I should know to fully complete the story, but on the other hand, there's either a reason that more information was not included that I haven't worked out yet, but also, the lack of lots of info leaves space for me to fill in the blanks myself and make the story part of me as well. I hear some fanfiction brewing.
I want to start by saying I don't read a lot of comics, especially western comics.
The plot to me seemed choppy and didn't include much of the original 4 Killjoys, which was a big bummer. I love the story of the Killjoys and wanted to see things fleshed out a bit more than it was. The universe is fun and I'd like to have seen more of the story, both before, during, and after the fabulous four had their rise to fame. I liked the artwork and the characters and the plot that came through. I think it would have been better as a longer series, though. But I am used to prose, which can afford to be lengthy. I am not sure if the choppiness is typical of comics or not. (Though I do know that in manga vs anime, it is the same way with manga being more choppy and quick paced.)
I forgot to purchase this one as January was one of my darkest months mentally. I picked it up and found myself ferociously reading to get to the climax. I hoped the story lines of Blue, Korse and the Girl would intersect, but alas no. In the end, it might be trite, but it is always heartening to see the good guys win.

Oh I cried... This series was fantastic and it makes me sad to think about it. I'm glad I made the effort to get my hands on it because I loved My Chemical Romance's Danger Days album so much and the Killjoys are so awesome. Will have to revisit this every now and again :)
This was a great series, I am so glad that Gee decided to write these. This particular comic relates a lot to Na Na Na, and the ending is a lot to take in. Still, a fabulous read. I'm disappointed that this series was only 6 comics long.
Oh man this was awesome. Though a bit bittersweet. I couldn't stop thinking about the SING video and how all of this just ties everything together and somehow its closure. There are so many messages in this comic that its hard not to miss them. I just completely loved it.
Well, I liked it! I wasn't totally happy with the ending, but then, I wasn't totally happy with the whole series either. And don't worry! They never explain... anything really....
