[Siren Erotic Contemporary Romance, sex toys, HEA] Claire Brady struggles to control her temper as Zach Colden makes his low opinion of her perfectly clear. She's never met anyone so unbelievably rude. The fact that she is physically attracted to him is surely a result of extreme exhaustion brought on by stress and hours of driving...isn't it? To make matters worse, she is stuck with the man for days. The blizzard that is raging outside of his cozy little cabin means that she won't be able to leave any time soon. Still, despite the fact that she is alone at the top of a mountain with a complete stranger and nothing but animosity flows between them, she feels safe, physically at least. What was it that he said? That he wouldn't touch her unless she begged him to? Yeah...that is so not happening! ** A Siren Erotic Romance

After reading the first book in this series and absolutely loving it, I came into this one with extremely high hopes. The thought of being able to jump right into another book with a new main character, but one that we had met previously in Dream Date had me jumping right from the first immediately into the second book.
An Imperfect Match brings us into the life of Claire Brady. Claire is the best friend of Kate who we meet in the first book in the Dare to Dream series Dream Date. An Imperfect Match tells the story from the point of view of both of the main characters Claire & Zach, although the majority of the book is from Claire’s. For Claire’s story we get to watch a beautiful relationship that starts off as rocky as any I have ever seen or read to a possible romance that could go nuclear. Zach is a mountain man who lives by himself with his dog Ji:hah, and prefers to keep to himself. He is the most stubborn alpha male I have ever met in a book, but I have found this to be as much of a turn on as it is a frustration at the same time. Claire in her own right is just as stubborn but is a city girl who lives for the hustle and bustle of the city life. But when Claire and Zach realize their feelings for each other it leaves us to wonder if true love conquers all even time and distance.
An Imperfect Match is part of the Dare to Dream Series, and can be read as a stand alone or part of the series. However there are references in this book to events that happen in the first book in the series but, it’s not too much and you would be able to follow along without any issue. Each book brings out a new character from the pervious book. The next book in this series is Worth Waiting For which brings us into the life of Marcus the third in the best friend trio of Kate, Claire and Marcus.
For the second book in a series this was a good read. However I did not find this book as enticing as the first one. There was much more woe is me in this story, and not as much of the real life issues that we see in Dream Date the first book of the series.
Favorite Quote: “It’s easy to say that you’re willing to make sacrifices, but when you’re faced with the reality of those of those sacrifices, sometimes it’s easier to just give up.”
This time, it's Claire's turn to fall in love. Stunning sequel of "Dream Date" (where Kate matched perfectly with her dream date, Jason), Claire swears she is never gonna fall for someone so crass and rude as Zach. He obviously shares the same opinion of her, despite their unadmitted attraction to each other. This book is sizzling hot with a lot of intense sexual tension, the more they argue and butt heads, the more the heat builds up. The best matches are those that are not perfect. I loved the first book but I love Claire's character, so I was glad that there was a volume focused on her. Makes you wanna be snowbound in a cabin with a hot guy ... new book boyfriend!
Claire is a successful businesswoman and a city girl. She goes to an author's secluded home in the mountains to entice him to do business with her father's company. She gets snowed in.
The author is surly and sexy. What is behind the surliness? The attraction is there from the beginning. Needless to say, they have sex, sex, and more sex. The hermit is quite a lover..... Will this end in love?
Wow! What a book! I kept reading and reading. I just could not get enough. The ending was a bit different than I expected. Maybe there will be a sequel?
While the novel is full of hot scorching sexcapades, I didn't find the story to be as engaging as book 1, Dream Date. Though I did love serious, sexy Zach. Spring, summer, winter, who cares just so long as I'm trapped in a cabin for days with a sexy man like him.
This is the second book in a series. It was sent to my by author to review. I gave it 5 stars. You could tell that Claire really didn't like Zach. Yet they were sexually attracted to each other. You will have to read the rest of the story to see if they overcome their animosity towards each other.
