They met in 1922 whre Bohr recruited Heisenberg fort the Niels Bohr Institute inCopenhagen, whre they had a close relationship, which broke due to nazism. While many physicist fleed nazi-germany, Heisenberg remained and worked on the nazi nuclear bomb programme.
