Prize of a lifetime: travel the world with a celebrity billionaire.
Come to LA with us, Roxie… It will be so much fun! We have tickets for a late-night talk show! What could possibly go wrong?
My girls and I do most everything together anyway, so why not go watch this Zairn Lomond guy be interviewed? Jane and Toria are into him, seriously into him. I can shake a proverbial pom-pom for their obsession.
Of course, if someone has to win the round-the-world tour of Lomond's nightclubs, it has to be me. Cool. No big deal. I can work from anywhere and who says no to free five-star travel?
He's suave, charming, everything the hungry media says. Does that mean I'm going to give him a break? Ha! No! If he can't take my sass that's his problem, not mine.
Except he takes it… and gives it right back. Every time I bait him, the smooth operator rises to the challenge. Play. Have fun. But don't fall for him, Roxie. At the end of the tour, you're going home, and he's jetting off into the sunset. Do not fall for him.
Warning: Contains explicit language and imagery. Suitable only for ages 18 and over.
Writing has always been a big part of my life. Since I was a child I've known exactly where my passion lay. No matter what's gone on in my life writing has been my touchstone. After all, we all need a place to escape to. Reading is my idea of heaven. There's nothing I like more than to switch everything off, close the bedroom door, and curl up with a good book. I have a feeling that's something all at Goodreads can identify with.
Thanks for taking the time with me today. Now do something for yourself, go and curl up in your own reading heaven.
I hate books with cliffhangers! That’s the only reason for 1 star. Loved the characters I. This book, but will never read another of this authors books! Did I say I HATE cliffhangers?
I thought the book was cute, I do wish you heard more from Zairn. Or that each chapter declared if it was Roxie, I do think there was a bit of confusion middle of the book as some things were skipped over, or next thing you know 9 or 11 days go by and there isn’t much back story to it.
The book was cute, and I liked that the love story wasn’t just Your typical romance novel.

Right, okay, here's my first review of 2024 and I'm sad to say it wasn't a 5-star book. BUT I did really enjoy reading it. I will say, though, both the cover and the opening few chapters definitely lead the reader to believe this book will be hella spicy. Rest assured, it wasn't. Which was definitely a let down because I went into it fully anticipating a nice, habanero spice level read. Only to be let down with the amount of spice that's in the white bowl of salsa at the local Americanized "Mexican" restaurant. I mean, the MC is a broody billionaire that's famous for bedding like TONS of women. A man who oozes sex appeal, and I just assumed.. there would be more spice. More descriptions of the spice that was occuring. More foreplay. I feel like I was lead on and the sexual tension just kept building between Roxie and Zairn only for their first sexual encounter to be so mid. HOWEVER- sexcapades aside, I did enjoy the overall plot of the book. No matter that I didn't fully understand the details surrounding Roxie's win, and the streaming she had to do to promote the Crimson clubs. I really enjoyed the secondary characters, especially Astrid. That girl deserves her own book. Roxie was a force to be reckoned with. She ABSOLUTELY had the sass, but she also didn't know when to shut up sometimes and that annoyed me a bit. She didn't show any real emotion towards anything or anyone, it was all just fun and games to her- and that got old. It was like she was trying TOO hard to be this spontaneous, carefree, can't-be-tied-down person. I had to remember so many times while reading this how old she was. And Zairn. I did NOT understand how he operated whatsoever. He really seemed to ground Roxie, but then he went OFF THE RAILS and it never fully was explained why he had such an intense reaction that sent him off to Vegas to MARRY HIS EX. What the actual hell? It was never confirmed nor denied that he actually did that, either. So.. that's pretty annoying. Will I read the next in the series? Yes. I need to know what happened, and I kind of hate myself for that.

I received this book, Nothing to Hide by Scarlett Finn, as an ARC for honest feedback. It is the first time I have read of Scarlett Finn.
Nothing to Hide is a novel about Zairn Lomond and Roxie Kyst. The novel show Lairn is a playboy extraordinaire and his lavish lifestyle. There is controversy around Lairn, his clubs and unsolved death. A competition for one lucky winner, to accompany Mr Lomond and his team to various Crimson club locations and document the experience through interviews and a blog, going behind the scenes and blogging about her encounters. The prize is a world tour and a large amount of cash and more... Who would win??? Enter Roxie Kyst ..
Roxie is everything Lairn didn't anticipate. She doesn't fall for his charms, thinks he is arrogant and initially judges him on his reputation. She couldn't be more wrong. I love that she sticks to her values, stands by what she believes in and doesn't back down when challenged about her character.
The playful banter was quite comical. Hate/Jailtime/Love... this novel has it all. Would flirting turn to hate or romance...so lets strap in for a fun, flirty and potentially steamy adventure.
Throughout the book we see the different dynamics and relationships of Zairn and Roxie. We see their strengths, values, vulnerabilities and friendship. Their attraction is inevitable. We see the support and bonds from their friends and people in their inner circle.
Zairn is less of a playboy than we thought and we see his sensitive, caring, nurturing side, his desire to take care of Roxie when she is sick... yet we also see the powerful business man of a million dollar empire. Two different backgrounds will it work out??
I love that Roxie has a strong group of friends, who lift her up, keep her grounded and provide her with unconditional love and support.
The plot grew and developed, I didn't know what to make of it at first. Once it started, and I read more of the book, it took off and exceeded my expectations.
I wasn't too sure on the cover, usually yes I will admit, I pick a book because the cover draws me in, I didn't feel that initially with this book. I like to picture the models that are on the cover and what they look like when described in the book by the author. I am not really into cartoons so it honestly didn't grab my attention AT FIRST, the blurb however did. The blurb drew me in I wanted to read more.
Ultimately I did enjoy this book. I would definitely recommend this to my friends. I cannot wait for the next one.... spoiler alert..... there is a cliffhanger. I think I yelled "nooo" and "come on" I was hooked.
If you are looking for a book that has strong characters, unconditional support from friends and peers, party lifestyle, hollywood glamour, sex scenes and so much more, then you won't be disappointed. I rate this 4**
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was okay. 3.5 stars. I have read another book since reading this one and I already forget most of the story...... Which means it wasn't super memorable.
From what I can recall it was ok, until the end .... Then it got weird when there was some security threat to the main character that didn't really fit. Maybe the plot was a bit underdeveloped and that's why I wasn't quite buying it?
Not a terrible read, but definitely not a favourite.
Come to LA with us, Roxie… When she goes to a show in LA, she finds out just how strange life can be. Winning a trip of a lifetime is anyone's dream. But Roxie is her person, and she is on no one's payroll, so all bets are off, and watching out what she will say and do can be a nightmare that the crew and the host will soon find out. With a trip of a lifetime, will Roxie be able to curve her fun-loving banter, and will the show host be able to handle her? Zairn is the host that most women will swoon over and do whatever he suggests or commands. He has an entourage of people looking out for him, and one person is going to reck his plans, that is until he has met Roxie. He finds himself in a predicament he has never faced. Zairn never has a woman such as Roxie. The more time he spends with the quick-witted free-spirited woman, the more he discovers how dull his life is and how exciting his life could be. But his life is not his own, and he must keep his distance from her, or they both will end up hating each other because they have to go back to their lives. When life catches up, and a mistaken live stream sets the internet on fire, both must face a reality they both never thought they would be in. This book has a lot of sassiness between characters, and it is well written, and it rings true between someone who has it all and someone who has had to work for it all. These two lives crash together in a fun way with lots of serious problems that must be handled correctly, even though both feel it's wrong. They both must go back to the way it was but, is the way it was going to break both in the process? I am looking forward to the next book. Congratulations on the beautiful book Miss Scarlett Finn.
I really wanted to like this book because I loved the banter between the FMC Roxie and MMC Zairn. But that wasn’t enough for me to feel endeared to Roxie, who was our window into the story. Though the dialogue between the MCs was sharp and fun, I found FMC insufferable and had a hard time connecting with her. I understand what the author was going for but I thought the execution led to Roxie coming across as rude, a little entitled and kind of bratty. I also wish we got a bit more of Zairn’s perspective because he did seem to be a good foil to Roxie and maybe could balance some of her unforgiving traits. But sadly, we barely really even got to know Zairn.
The writing at times seemed flip between first and third person narrative in non-dialogue moments. It led to some confusion on my part.
I will say as frustrating as the ending was, it left me just intrigued enough to give another of the author’s books a chance. Hopefully, my opinion can turn around.
The plot of this is pretty silly BUT I really loved the characters and their interactions with each other. Roxie is such a dynamic character who I have absolutely nothing in common with, but really enjoyed. The playful seduction between her and Zairn is also just so fun. I just decided to try this because it was short and easy and it really was the perfect little read. It does end rather abruptly, but I'll probably continue reading them. It was just a very easy fun little romance!!
This book has such a fun premise. Who wouldn’t want to win a vacation of a lifetime and travel the world with a celebrity? Everyone except Roxie, lol. When she wins the grand prize of this whirlwind trip it’s the last thing she wants to do and Zairn Lomond isn’t exactly the man of her dreams. But could he be…? Only time will tell. I would highly recommend this book if you’re in the mood for a fun and sassy heroine and the man that she drives crazy.
I really enjoyed this book. Probably 4 stars worth of enjoyment. Until the end(ish).
I loved all of the characters. Every single one. Roxie and Zairn’s relationship was so great. I loved their banter and loving jabs at each other. I loved the girl bonds and the friendships that Roxie had and the effort she showed throughout the book to maintain and keep those friendships. Plus she was seeking to make friends everywhere she went. I love a girl’s girl. Also, I love Astrid. She’s precious.
Zairn and Roxie’s relationship was so great but also like, what?! There was so much build up to their sex life and then (as another reviewer perfectly described) it was so mid. I didnt expect it to be the spiciest thing i’ve ever read but seriously? Roxie said Zairn was a 6 maybe a 7 and I might just believe her.
Sex aside, Roxie and Zairn had this running banter through the entire book that was so nice! Nothing was too serious, which got old in some parts of the book, but overall made the book light-hearted and funny. Zairn throwing a hissy fit when things didnt go his way was such a yuck. I understand this is typical billionaire behavior- but this is not fantasy billionaire behavior. Not to mention, Roxie just forgives him and it’s just fine that he was a total d-bag? Disappointing.
ALSO once the trial stuff came up, why was I high key waiting for something to happen? I thought Roxie might get kidnapped or have to use her panic room. I was on edge thinking the text from Zairn in the LV Club was a bag guy setting her up. But then it wasnt and I was like that’s it?! She’s just over him being a total baby and not picking up his phone to clarify literally anything? They were so unserious that it was seriously frustrating at some parts. I think the build up to the (not so) climax of the book left me wanting something more and I was left SO disappointed.
If there is another book about Zairn and Roxie I will certainly read it, with less expectations for a suspenseful twist. Thinking back, the only problem they had to work through was Zairn being a man-child. So i shouldnt expect anything too crazy in the second.
I didnt mean for this to be a negative review because I really did enjoy this book (almost) the entire time. The characters really made this story and I hope we get more or them in future books.

It was an ok book, but I really don't like cliffhangers, especially if the books aren't on KU and I can't read the rest.
I might have sifted through the second one to find out if Roxie wizened up or kept being her old oblivious, windwhirly self for another 300 or so pages. Because yeah, she's good at talking but never seems to take anything seriously, and that annoyed me pretty quickly. Goodness...
And Z wasn't much better. They spent most of the book teasing each other, tiptoeing around what they were for one another, eventually sleeping together, only to go through some, lamp-breaking, door-slamming drama, before getting back together... only for him to drop her off at her place, and neither actually making a damn move... only so that we could get a whole second book of the same thing? I'll never know, just making an assumption, considering how this one went lol.
On second thought, no... even if it was on KU I probably wouldn't put myself through the trouble of finding out how they figure things out, if they ever do, or if they keep dancing around each other for the whole series. I wouldn't have the energy if it dragged on for a whole series. One book of this was enough. It wasn't all bad, really... I did like some parts of it, just not enough. Roxie gave me a headache. She sounded like a petulant teen most of the time. And Z? Well... Z was a bit bland, if you ask me...
“I didn’t think when we were bouncing around ideas for the contest that it would bring someone like you to me.”
One minute, Roxie is at a talk show with her girls and the next she wins a contest that will give her the Crimson Experience. She is immediately in a different world with a luxury lifestyle that includes traveling and partying. Zarin Lomond is an enigma who lives his life with boundaries. When Roxie accidentally streamed one of their encounters, it proves he has nothing to hide. The world got to see another side of Zarin. When Roxie was with him, she saw a reflection of her soul. He got her sass and Matched it. Zarin has no clue what he wants and doesn’t back down from a challenge, Roxie is the right kind of trouble. After 3 months on tour, the Crimson experience ends and Roxie must return back to her normal life. However, after Zarin Lomond, life won’t be the same.
This book was a 112 and I absolutely loved it. I could not put this book down. I ship Roxie and Zarin and am ready for book two.
Roxie is an independent, sassy woman who doesn't put up with sh!t from anyone. Zairn is a dominant, distrustful billionaire used to getting his own way. When Roxie wins a trip around the world with Zairn and his entourage, he soon learns he can't control this strong-willed woman needs to for his business' reputation and his own piece of mind. Even worse, between her looks and the five-alarm sexual tension between them, Zairn feels like he's losing his grip on his tightly controlled world. Roxie's used to answering only to herself and if Zairn thinks she's about to become one of the his yes-men ... err, people, he's got another thing coming.
What ensues when these two collide is a witty, light read with surprising depth. I read the whole thing in one sitting and I wasn't ready for the end. I highly recommend it if you like strong female MCs, snappy dialogue, and flawed men who have a lot to learn when it comes to love.
BLUF: Well written, good characters, short on plot, short on spice, long on build up
I was going to call this book plotless until about the 80% point where some semblance of a plot started to form. Until then it was just flirting and suggestion with little to no payoff. Even when we got some payoff, it didn't make up for the amount of buildup we had to go through to get there.
I think the book is well written overall, with good characters that the reader can grow to empathize with, but Roxy's character is a little hit or miss. She's inconsistent; standoffish, coy, seductive, brash, shy, etc. on a whim seemingly when the author needed her to be. Z is Blake Carrington from the 2017 Dynasty series, almost to a T. Suave and controlled...until it's convenient for him not to be.
Overall, not a great novel, and clearly an intro to hook you into reading more as all the actual plot is in the last 20%.
This is Zairn Lomond and Roxie Kyst’s story. Roxie goes along with her friends, Jane and Toria, because they have tickets for a late night talk show where they can watch Zairn Lomond be interviewed. Her friends are seriously “into him”, so she will go for their sake even though she has little interest.
Roxie, of course, wins the round-the-world tour of Lomond’s nightclubs where she will spend time with him. Neither is what the other expected. If you enjoy strong characters and supportive loyal friends, this should be an enjoyable, fun story line. Grab your copy and see where the story takes them.
🌶️2.5 - honestly i’m pissed off. I hate cliffhangers. I hate them even more when I want to know what happens but refuse to trudge through another bad book. this was so hard to understand. the FMC was weird (who talks to people like that esp if they’ve just met??) and the story overall was really hard to follow. the tone of conversations seemed to switch midway and I found myself really confused as to how the MCs felt about each other. it wasn’t clear to me when the FMC was deflecting. did they like each other? did they not? it was genuinely just difficult to follow. I felt like an idiot trying to decipher the tone and how scenes/timelines were moving. i’m annoyed.
Roxie and Zairn—she’s a contest winner for an international experience at all his clubs. The funny part is that of all the people at the show where it was announced (and she won), she was the least likely to care. But the company needed a PR boost, and this was their solution. Along the way, she won the hearts of his staff, all the social media followers…and his. But their experience had a termination date. They connected in a unique way—full of her snark and teasing—and had some speed bumps along the way. But when he dropped her off to return to her “real life,” both were impacted. And that’s where the story ends for now. It’s “to be continued.”

Can a book be scorching hot when there is more angst and build than sex? Why yes it can!
Nothing to Hide is hot as hell. I love how this story played out. Scarlett is amazing at character development. It’s one of the reasons why I love the angsty build books. You get to know the characters. You feel like you are there with them. Roxy and Zaire’s journey, although starts in an unnatural way and plays out in the billionaire lifestyle, their friendship and relationship builds in such a natural way. I couldn’t put this book down and will be starting the next right away.
I absolutely love this book, from the original concept, to the way it's written, which is fantastic. I love Roxie and wish I could be in her group of friend's. The trip is an adventure she'll never forget. And neither will you. I love this book so much, I've read it 3 times already 🥰 It's one you need to be 1-clicking or adding to your TBR list ASAP, because it's one book you don't want to miss out on 💗💗🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I enjoyed this story even though Hollywood, jetset, starlight lives aren't my thing. The cover caught my attention a bit but the blurb definitely got it, this was the first book I read from this author and I will definitely read the next one in this series...no way I am not going to read what happens after that cliffhanger in the end. Good story, well written and with wonderful characters.

This book kick started my love for this series. Roxy and Zairn are a match made in Billionaire heaven. Sorry. I must have read this book 7 times since none of the numerous Billionaire books on offer delivers quite like Scarlett Finn's "Nothing to..." series. You will not be disappointed. Start reading it today! The characters and the dialogue are captivating. I can't wait for the next book in the series, and neither will you. Start the adventure today.
There is nothing worse in this world than providing me a free book and ending on a cliffhanger only to charge for the next EIGHT BOOKS OF THE SERIES. my feelings are hurt. I really enjoyed this story. There were definitely part’s that confused me profusely and I could not make sense at what was happening but overall I liked the structure of the story and how Roxanna never compromised herself for the super rich hot boy.

Definitely an interesting story and it’s one of those that definitely leaves on a cliffhanger, but without the “to be continued” at the end, it basically wraps itself up.
While I did enjoy the fact that they didn’t have sex until chapter 29/38, they talked about it an odd amount. Their relationship is kinda odd, I mean she was talking about how she didn’t like him, he is an ass, ect. Then they spend one night drinking and talking and all of a sudden they a like mini besties.
What made me pick it up: Stuff your earbuds day find.
Overall rating: If I could rate it zero stars, I would. It's just so damn bad. I feel like I understand what Finn wanted to write, but I don't think they had the ability to complete it in a way that was in any way successful. The characters don't make sense; the storyline is all over the place, and there are so many ideas running rampant that it's a complete cluster.
This is part of a series but does not end in a cliffhanger. I can not wait to read more about Zarin and Roxie. I love Roxie, I want to be more like her. I liked how confident but vulnerable blood them are. Wonderful characters and story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Nothing To Hide (Nothing to… #1) is flirty, and witty, with a slight edge to it which I liked. Zairn and Roxie are a perfect match and have oodles of sizzling chemistry. The storyline is great and I loved the secondary characters, what a treat to get cameo appearance from a certain hot security guy! I look forward to reading the conclusion of this exciting duet.
I enjoyed this book! Loved the fiesty Roxie and “Z”the playboy who owns a string of Night clubs all around the world! It starts out with her girl friend trying to win a prize! The prize is a trip around the world to all of the night clubs! With Mr Z! Everything free and finding that he isn’t what has been said about him!
I would definitely suggest you read this very fun book! I received this free but it hasn’t changed my review!
I enjoyed reading this story! Love how strong Roxie is and how she deals with everything that is going on. Zairn and his employees do not expect how Roxies acts and says and don't know what she will do in the future. Love reading how they all deal with everything and look forward to reading more about Roxie and Zairn in the next book in this series Nothing To Lose.
