I’m afraid this story didn’t hold a great deal of interest for me, I am already fed up of Sicarion and Moroaico from the previous novel Ghost in the Mask. I am also not sure why this is listed as Book 8.6 in the series as it is really a prequel to the whole series.
I'm never as fond of short stories as the character development is usually lacking. This volume was interesting in that we find out how Sicarion and Moroaica meet and what compels him to become her minion. We also get to experience his first success at limb replacement.
