The Prophetess: The Return of The Prophet from the Voice of The Divine Feminine

Rate this book
A powerful retelling and continuation of Kahlil Gilbran's The Prophet, this book of prose poetry examines life's deeper meaning and spirituality with the Divine Feminine as a guide.

The Prophetess is a modern take on Kahlil Gibran’s classic 1923 book, The Prophet. The beautiful verse explores the power and timeless wisdom of the Divine Feminine. The Prophetess invites readers into the core of life’s most meaningful subjects and offers a taste of a more spiritually fulfilling way to relate to ourselves and the world. This book boldly and astutely encourages the creative redefinition of old patterns of thought that our lives may more closely align with beauty and truth. The Prophetess offers permission to explore a new paradigm characterized by acknowledgment of our light, the claiming of our gifts, and the embrace of our wholeness.

I have been blessed to live in the Columbia river gorge and first heard this "hometown" author speak at Riverside church. Wisdom flows through her and I sincerely believe she channels Light and Love through some divine and otherworldly source.
In person, she is approachable and sweet, with almost a "girl next door" warmth. I was astounded when she began speaking and heard the power of her words and the connection they provide to Spirit.
This is truly the companion piece to The Prophet and is meant to be for our times.
It took me a long time to read and meditate on this book. There is liberation and healing for your soul and our planet in her words.
This small book of wisdom contains great insights.
Thank you, Chelan, for your bravery.
May it be so.

What a fantastic adventure reading The Prophetess by Chelan Harkin. The divine feminine speaks to us. She teaches wisdom and maturity through poetic metaphors. It is like hearing music soothing your soul and opening your mind, and seeing the ocean crashing and forging and yielding to the truth of what it is and what we can be as well. All the important questions are addressed and bring you to your path of transformation. Listen to her speak to you of awakening, being vulnerable, seeking truth, living with suffering’s gifts, death, desire, sensitivity, self-worth and much more. Listen and learn, you can live with heart. I am awakening.

Phenomenal! This extraordinary companion to Khalil Gibran’s The Prophet marks the first major work of poetry to articulate the ethos of the Aquarian Age, brilliantly sung with the oracular voice of the Divine Feminine. What a manifesto! This book belongs in everyone’s permanent library—shelved next to The Prophet, of course—and read regularly, perhaps daily after scanning the day’s headlines to remind yourself of these timeless truths. Treat yourself to the audiobook narrated by Harkin herself, and listen to it again and again until you know every line by heart.

inspired from beyond

You don’t so much read these words with your eyes but experience them deep in your body. The resonance is palpable, with each chapter a tuning fork dropped into the heart. Its vibration brings greater congruence and equanimity. Highly recommended.
