F.B. Meyer (1847 – 1929) was an English Baptist pastor, evangelist, and author of numerous devotional classics, including this perceptive study of Peter's life and character.
A thought-provoking book on the life of Peter, looking at the main events in his life from his first meeting with Jesus through to his death around 60AD. I do think alot of inference was made but that may be to help give the reader perspective.
A fascinating and inspirational book that describes the Christian experience in Peter's life: failures and successes, learning and teaching, life and death and life again. This book is devotional and study in one.
Meyer Mission #17 Another Meyer book finished and this was one of his Biblical biographies looking at the life of Peter with insight and application along with stories and supposition. Good, although I prefer his straight theological tomes.
I absolutely loved this book! He has some wonderful insight into the apostle's life and ministry. I'd recommend this book to those wanting to learn more about Peter and how we can compare/contrast his mistakes and successes to our own lives.
