Hope's Cadillac: A Novel

Rate this book
Set in Houston in 1969, this sophisticated, artful, and moving story of one woman's struggle for wholeness and independence is utterly satisfying fiction--thoroughly grown up and filled with wit and style. When her straight-arrow husband splits, Hope Fairman--with the help of a richly drawn cast of friends (and lovers)--sets out to rebuild her emotional life from ground zero.

The book dives into Hope's life and explores her emotions as her life comes crashing down around her. The reader watches Hope lose everything and gain love, guidence and a new passion in her life.

technically a DNF but I got far enough that I'm giving myself credit anyway. I really tend to push through no matter how much I'm enjoying (or not enjoying) a book, so the fact that I got 70% there and couldn't go any farther is pretty rough.
