My SIL loves books with Lady Knights for the Protagonist. I panicked for Xmas and her birthday trying to find graphic novels she might like. and I might have over ordered books..... Now when I'm out exploring new book shops like Kinokuniya, I am also on the hunt! this book inspired me with the illustrations. Emma is amazing at drawing faces that are so expressive. I was captivated by all the eyes drawn different ways.
This is also like the graphic novel version of the Hobbit for me. I had to get out a piece of paper to list all the Paladins and the 2 timelines. I also need to reference the map more. Definitely a lot of meat here to keep reading Vol 2 and beyond!
