One night was all it took to seal our fate. Too bad it took another six weeks of battling my demons and denying the attraction between us to see exactly what she was.
My future.
I tried to keep my distance, however, living in a small town didn’t help my plight. She was everywhere, throwing sass in my direction like it was her job. It pissed me off, yet turned me on at the same time.
Then she uttered two words which altered the course of our lives forever. “I’m pregnant.”
Our happily ever after would have to wait though, because Quin was hiding something. When her secrets and lies began to unravel, putting her in the line of fire, I’ll stop at nothing to protect her.
C.B.Noy was born and raised in Northern Maryland and decided it was a great place to raise a family. She and her husband live ten minutes from the house she grew up in with the two youngest of their five kids. Rounding out the family are their two dogs and two cats. For nine years, she was a nurse in the ICU and then transitioned to home health nursing five years ago. She is an avid reader of romance and had an idea for a book one weekend. With the help of some seriously awesome and amazing friends, and the support of her family, the Mountain Grove series was born.
5 Star Review Fearless (Quattro Security #3) by C B Noy C.B. Noy has saved the best for last. From the first chapter I was totally invested in Fearless which is the final book in the Quattro Security series. This is Allesandro (Alec) Del Toro and Quinlan James story and it is my favourite of the series. This was an emotional, at times heart breaking story that brought me to tears. Set in a small town in Maryland, there was a good balance of romance and suspense and love of family and friends.
Fearless also tackles the devastating effects that Alzheimer’s has not only on the person with the disease, but their loved ones. It was handled well, with dignity and respect.
From the moment Alec met Quin, he knew that there was a spark, even though he wasn’t sure if he wanted to kiss her or shake her. However, one thing he knew was that the attraction that sizzled between them was returned.
Alec and Quin are meant to be, two halves of a whole and if anyone deserved to find happiness, it is these two. Their journey was emotional and rocky at times but with the love and support of their family, friends, and in fact the whole town they were able to find the happiness they deserved.
The banter between Alec and his brothers adds an additional layer to the story but it was the love of family, blood and chosen, that really took this story to another level for me. This was a fitting conclusion to a series and family I have come to love.
I have no words, well maybe I do! BRAVO CB Noy BRAVO! OMG I loved this book! To finish off the Quattro Security series this way was fantastic! I knew when Alec and Quin got together that there would be fireworks, but this was so much more! To add in the accidental pregnancy and Alec coming to terms to what happened to him and Quin finally letting people into her life, wow! This book was so much more than I was expecting for their story. CB Noy just wrote the absolutely best book of her life! These characters are amazing. I loved Quin so much! And Alec, 🥵 He was so ready to jump into dad mode. We finally got to see the sides of each of them that we knew was already there. And I adored them both! The passion that flows between them was off of the charts🔥🔥🔥 I’m not ready for it to end but I’m so excited for the next series to start! Congratulations CB Noy, this book is absolutely fantastic!!!
Fearless is easily my favorite book in this series, I loved Alec and Quin’s story. I am sad to see Quatro Security end, but I look forward to future series.
The characters are well-written, but the story is the main feature! We have a broody Alec, a super sassy Quin, and drama. Family meddling and drama, plus the secrets! Understanding of the past and twists. Have a tissue handy, but be prepared to laugh as well. Mountain Grove has worked its way under my skin, so goodbye for now.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
I loved Quin and Alec’s story! It starts off fast and doesn’t slow down. It’s filled with the same grit, great story and hot scenes that the others have and more! I loved how these characters just clicked and how their super charged energy could be felt off the pages! Quin is a little more broken then his brothers and I wished I learned a bit more about that, however, I loved him and I loved how he cared for Quin. I read the book in one sitting and can’t wait for the next book from this author!
This is the story of Alex and Quin. They have a one time thing and she ends up pregnant. As the story progresses, you get to watch them fall in love, deal with family drama and handle some difficult situations. This book is packed with spice, drama and suspense. It pulled me in from the beginning and kept me engaged through the entire book. I can't wait to read more book from this author!
Dear lord, CB Noy, what the heck are you doing to me!!!
This book dragged me willingly through the wringer and left me an absolute wreck, every possible emotion being pulled from me and leaving me yearning for more.
I have loved every single book CB Noy has published, every single one a beautiful and addictive read. But this book knocked it out of the stratosphere in the best way possible.
I have the biggest book hangover and don’t regret it for one moment. The depth and emotion held me a willing captive as I walked beside these wonderful characters that have become my friends.
Alec is a definite dominant alpha male, his mere presence enough to make your knees weak. His actions and behaviour enough to make your ovaries want to explode.
The interaction with Quin in previous books has laid a firm foundation for the spellbinding love and connection they share in this book. I absolutely melt with the way he cares for and wants to support and protect Quin. The way he constantly needs to touch her when she’s near is so beautiful and endearing.
I’ve loved Quin from the beginning. While I loved her kickass demeanour and her sheer force of will, my heart bled for the situation she’d been put in. Such heavy burdens for someone so young, yet she handled everything with grace and a backbone of steel.
It was so heartwarming by to watch her walls slowly grind to dust as little by little she allowed Alec past her barriers until he was bathed in a pure warmth of her beautiful soul.
Alec and Quin are such a wonderful couple. Their chemistry was off the charts, but it was the emotions behind the intimacy that floored me.
CB Noy is an author with an exceptional talent. The way in which she portrayed the medical condition was so respectful and empathetic. Having lived through this myself I am so proud of the way in which this condition was brought to light and treated.
This book is absolute perfection. If you can’t already tell, I can’t recommend highly enough.
This story deserves every single star in the night sky, and then some.
“Love isn’t a strong enough word for how I feel about you. You’re the air I breathe, baby.”
As soon as I started reading the prologue, I was hooked! This is Alec and Quin’s story. And it’s a beautiful story. Quin is hiding a lot of secrets, and when they come to light, her entire world goes up in flames. Alec fights his attraction for Quin because of his brothers, who’s significant others are best friends with Quin… But there comes a point when he can’t hide them anymore, and he’ll do anything to protect her. Part 3 of the Quattro Security series. I haven’t read the other books (this is my first C.B. Noy read), and I didn’t feel like I missed any vital information by not reading the other books first (but I’m going to read them now!). This book is a roller coaster! Spicy, sweet, protective, heartbreaking, and hopeful. I don’t know how else to describe it. This is one of my favorite reads so far this year. I seriously don’t know why I waited so long to read a book by C.B. Noy, but she is now an automatic-read author for me because of this book!
Alec & Quin's story starts off giving us the inside look at their 🔥🔥🔥. It takes them a little bit to figure out that wasn't just a one-time thing, but once they're together, they're TOGETHER.
I love Quin's sass & the way Alec pushes her buttons sometimes bc he loves it, too. And Quin doesn't lose that sass when she finally trusts him with all her secrets, but it changes from a protection-mode sass to just Quinny. 😁
I also love getting to go thru part of the pregnancy with these two. Alec's nicknames for the baby are adorable!!
There's suspense & more 🔥, lots of great family & friend bonding, tears - a tough subject is a main part of the story, & it's written beautifully. We also get a preview of the next series & I'm suuuuper excited that this character gets their own HEA!! 💚
I couldn’t wait for Alec’s book I knew it was going to be epic and CB Noy did not disappoint. The chemistry between Alec and Quin was off the charts. They both had secrets from their past that had shaped who they are, and somehow they were just what each other needed. I absolutely loved this story. The suspense kept me turning page after page with twists I didn’t even see coming. I absolutely love the banter between all these characters and I truly can’t wait to see what this author writes next. Definitely a five star read for me.
I knew Quin's story would be epic. I mean Alec, hello. Broody, sexy as sin, Alec and fiery, stubborn Quin. I was not expecting the feels. This was an absolutely beautiful story of the tragedy that is alzheimer's disease with a whole lot of love and family sprinkled in. I literally cried through half this book and laughed the other half. So beautiful.
I absolutely fell in love with the Del Toro brothers and couldn't wait to read about Alec and Quin. I was always curious about Quin and why she had to work so many jobs and showed up with bruises. When we learn why her life is so difficult, we also see how she can help heal Alec from the demons of his past! This book was full of twists and turns I wasn't expecting and by the end I was sobbing. I can't wait to read about Agent Clarke in the next series! I started and finished this book in less than 24 hours and as I mentioned, had a good cry. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to feel like you're part of the family ❤️
If you haven’t visited Mountain Grove yet this is your sign. Not a single book in the Mountain Grove or Quattro Security series has been a disappointment and I loved being apart of this adventure. I am totally a Quinn for sure and I love her sass! Alec is the perfect amount of possessive and loving! I wish I never had to leave this little town but I am excited to see where we are off to next with CB Noy!
How can her books keep getting better.?! This is the best in the series, hands down and the others were fabulous. There were definitely fireworks, fire, you name it, between Alec and Quin. I loved how Alec knew what Quin needed. I absolutely loved the banter between the brothers. It was hilarious! This book is a fitting conclusion to this series! I can’t wait to see what she writes next.
As sad as I am that the Quattro Series is over, Fearless was the perfect ending! Quin and Alec are so perfect together and I loved reading their story. Quin’s sassiness cracks me up and I will never get enough of the Del Toro brothers constant ribbing of each other. This book was fantastic!!
Fearless is a fabulous rom-com with wonderful characters! Alessandro is the last del Toro brother to find his HEA with Quinlan. Alessandro is a broody hero and Quinlan is a sassy heroine who fought their attraction. Highly recommend! A Must Read!
Every del Toro brother is my favorite once I read their books. Alessandro del Toro is no different. What really sets him apart is the woman that stole his heart. Quinlan Marie James is a ball of fire. She makes Alec step up and want to be a better man.
They did not get together the conventional way. Both Quin and Alec have secrets. Secrets that keep them from following their hearts. These two gave into temptation one time. One time was all it took. After being with Quin, Alec knew that she was his future. Now he has to get her to believe it and give them a chance.
Quattro Security always has something going on. This book is no different. The woman in their lives bring the drama. Will Quin’s secrets finally catch up to her? Will she finally drop her pride and ask for help? The del Toros don’t play about family. The girls are all considered family. I love the love that flows through this series. These boys love hard and for keeps. Quin needs a del Toro in her life.
Oh my god! This book had me feeling things all over the place that I was not anticipating and left me a complete and utter wreck when I was finished! I knew Quin and Alec’s story was going to be a roller coaster of emotions based on previous snippets we saw of both of them in the other two Quattro books but holy……there are no words for me to be able to describe what I was feeling the entire time while reading. Their story starts off with a bang (literally) which leaves Quin and Alec left to clean up the pieces. While doing so you get to really dive into who both of these people are and I for one was not expecting the plot twist in Quin’s background. Once I read that I understood and appreciated her drive, determination and tenacity that much more (which I already loved from the first two books). You really got the sense of importance of family from Quin in this story, especially family that is found rather than family that is biological. I always had the sense of family from the del Toro’s from the very first story so Alec’s arc and the importance he placed on family was no surprise per se. There was a secret he was hiding that really shook me and it was nice to see that secret come out and all that it entailed. The one thing that I truly loved about this story was the arc about Alzheimer’s disease. As someone who watched a love one go through this, this storyline really tugged at my heartstrings. Everything about it was 100% accurate, from the person suffering from Alzheimer’s experiencing the bouts of awareness and memory that they seemed to have lost, to the violent outbursts that can occur because of utter confusion and the disease warring in the mind of the person. The effect it has on the family members was accurate as well. I especially loved the mention at the end of wearing blue instead of black- something we did for my grandfather’s funeral because blue was his favorite color as well. The whole story about this disease brought up so many good and bad memories from my life that I found myself crying more often than not (severely ugly at times) and really appreciated that there are other families out there who experience similar things when it comes to the disease. I also really loved the ending where the town remembers what it was all about after learning about Quin’s father having this awful disease and comes out in a show of support, something that they had gotten away from in past years. I think all of that combined made a really great ending to this series of stories.
CB Noy saves the best for last. This book is amazing! Sparks fly from the beginning between Allesandro (Alec) and Quinlan. It’s an emotionally charged, heartbreaking read…yes, there were tears (more than once). There is just so much in this story, it’s hard to put it all into words. Suspense, action, danger, grief, emotional struggles, family, friends, new beginnings, secrets and lies, small town goodness, love, and more.
Alec and Quin’s journey was fraught with many obstacles, emotional turmoil, and family drama and with the love and support of family and dear friends and each other they found their way through. I absolutely loved Alec and Quin together; they were two halves of a whole. The banter between Alec and his brothers and the girl gang always adds an additional layer to the story to help balance out the heavy with the light.
This book has a true “family feel” from start to finish. Whether by blood or chosen, it’s them against the world. This story was the perfect ending to round out the series.
Fearless deals with the devastating effects of Alzheimer’s on the person affected as well as the family. And CB did a wonderful job tackling this difficult disease with dignity and respect.
One night given into their unleashed passion for one another is all it took for Quinlan James to get pregnant. Quin knows she has to tell Allesandro Del Toro that he is going to be a father, but the things he says to her has her hackles rise and the pull she feels toward him unnerves her. Alec has his own reason for being reluctant to be full in on Quin, he knows she is his future but it terrifies him, his past is holding him back. When Quin and her family are put in danger though his focus solely becomes on protecting Quin and the baby she is carrying him, will he be able to keep her safe from her past?
This book had a little bit of everything I was hoping for in the story. Quin is a firecracker and Alec is waffling between his attraction and wanting to wrap her in bubble wrap, but she is fiercely independent. They both grow together which I loved. Excellent series, I hope there is more to come even if the main three men have their stories.
What a way to end a fantastic series! From the prologue to the epilogue, Fearless was pure perfection. Allesandro (Alec) del Toro had a difficult past when he was an Army Ranger that left him with tremendous guilty. Quinlan (Quin) James has been dealing with a heartbreaking situation in her childhood home. She has been working 3 jobs, running herself ragged and no one knows why. This book was a roller coaster of emotions with the laugh out loud banter, heartbreaking and heartwarming moments, and steamy times. I loved how their relationship grew and the way Alec was always there when she needed him. There were twists and turns that you don’t see coming. Noy delivers another incredible and well-written book that captivates and enthralls the reader from beginning to end. Great storyline, lovable characters, and a wonderful HEA. This is a must 1-Click! I’m sad that this series has come to an end, but can’t wait for what’s coming next! Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review. Even though I received this for free, I have purchased the ebook copy of this book and the previous ones in the series for my Kindle.
Fearless:A Surprise Pregnancy Frenemies to Lovers Romantic Suspense (Quattro Security #3) by C.B Noy is Alex's story. He is the last brother in the De Toro clan. Alex and Quinlan have always had a contentious relationship. You knew there was a spark between the two them. It is a lust/hate relationship. The story starts with the two of them hooking up. Just one night. Quinlan has always been a secretive person, and we finally learn her story. There is just one problem that one night between Alex and Quinlan resulted in her being pregnant. That night, Alex said something that affected Quinlan, and she wasn't happy about it. Alex also has issues due to his time in the military. Now, with a baby on the way, he and Quinlan have to get their act together. This was their story. Between Alex's demons and Quinlan's family secrets, I was truly entertained. I loved all the characters. The brothers and their parents are hilarious. The girls are also a cast of characters. However, once Quinlan's secrets are revealed, there is more than meets the eye. It's such a good story. If you haven't read the previous books, please do so, and by all means, read the books that started this all The Mountain Grove series. 4 star read for me.
This is alec and quins story. Absolutely amazing and read in one sitting. Alec has been fighting his feelings for quin since the day he met her,as due to some underserved guilt he put on himself,he thought he wasnt good enough for her,one night and everything changes.hes so protective and so loving towards her and his her strength and rock. Quin is a spitball of a woman and doesnt take no s*** off anyone.what she has been having to deal with is unreal but love that she finally let alec in. The bit with the letter from quins dad actually made me cry. Had a lovely hea for them both and they both truly deserve it
What an amazing book! This is book 3 of the Quattro Security Series which can be read as a standalone. It’s the story of Quinlan and Allesandro aka Alex. They had an instant connection and lots of surprises to test their relationship! I loved how protective Alex is of Quinn and her family. This book has lots of twists and turns to keep you interested the whole time! It also touches on the life of dealing with Alzheimer’s disease! This is the first book Ive read by CB Noy but definitely will not be the last!
This was another Awesome book. This is the Third book, of the Quattro series. Personally, I think this was the best book yet. 💓 Alec and Quin. Hope, she decided to write more of these characters, in another books. This book has sassy, drama, characters are well written, even the story was well written, twists and turns, family meddling, Cried, need tissues, laugh, entertaining, tear jerker, wonderful characters, Happy every after, and so much more. This book and Series, is on my Reread list. I Definitely, Recommend this book and series. A Must Read!!
Allesandro (Alec) and Quinlan (Quin) fight their attraction to each other with everything they have until they night they give into their fierce desire. A thoughtless comment on his part sends Quin walking out his door without looking back. Unfortunately, neither of them can forget that night, for a variety reasons. It doesn’t take long for their family and friends to notice something is going on with both of them. They are distracted, tired, more introspective than usual and avoiding each other. Weeks later, when an attack on one of their friends leads to Quin wielding a bat, Alec can’t stay away from her any longer. His fear and need to protect her leads him to make a critical error that sends her running from him again. When he finally get a moment alone with her at an outing with friends, Quin shocks him with the news that she is pregnant. In an instant, Alec’s decision to give her space turns into claiming her for his own.
As it turns out Alec and Quin are carrying heavy burdens on their souls and this new little life prods them into finding ways to lift them. Alec is carrying a burden of guilt from his last mission in the military. It has made him believe that he is not worthy of love and he has done his best to bury his feelings and keep others at bay. Quinn’s burden is the secrets her parents have asked her to keep. Working three jobs to support her parents has left Quin exhausted, rather isolated and feeling guilty. For the sake of the baby and her own health, she is going to have to slow down and change her work life. When Alec says he is all in and wants to be a part of her future, and not just for the sake of the baby, she is relieved and hopeful. Moving forward is what they both want, but spectres from her past have reappeared to cause havoc endangering anyone who stands in their way. Alec and his brothers are determined to protect Quin and everyone they love.
I loved the rapport and connection between Quin and Alec once they finally decide to let each other into their lives. His growly, protective side is swoon worthy. Quin has her own fierce protective side and loyal is her middle name. Both put family first and now they are making a family of their own. I love the close camaraderie among the brothers and girl friends as well as the teasing, prodding and advice. They certainly make this book more entertaining.
This book was an absorbing read. I couldn’t put it down until I had read every word. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this book or the others in this series.
Fearless is Allesandro (Alec) Del Toro and Quinlan James story and it’s the last book in the Quattro Security Series. In my Option Ms Noy has left the best for last and sad as I am to see this series end this was a bittersweet read that left me wanting to reread this entertaining, emotional and intriguing series again. This book broke my heart because it tackles the devastating effects that Alzheimers has on the person and their loved ones. This author wrote about this terrible disease with compassion and respect and for me this took this story to another level. Add in the romance, the suspense and the friendships and you get a wonderful read. From the moment Alec and Quin meet sparks fly, he knew from one meeting he needed her in his life but was it love or was it lust……. This small town in Maryland has become one of my favourite fictional towns and I have loved watching the residents find love and happiness and this book was no different. The road was never going to be smooth and there are plenty of twists and turns you don’t see coming and I found myself wishing and hoping this couple got the HEA they so desperately deserved and needed. The chemistry is sizzling, the banter is witty but the love is what shines through. Looking forward to what Ms Noy has in store with future series.
This is book 3 in the quattro security series giving us the story of Alex and Quinn, they fight their attraction for each other at every turn. Until one night they give into their desires. But even that didn't last long when she's walks away. But that night will be seared into their brains none of them will ever forget about it.
Alex just wants to be near her and protect her but he does things that make her run. When he finally gets her on her own to chat, she drops a huge bomb shell in his lap, she's pregnant!! His mind instantly changes to giving her space, to fill blown your mine!!
Both have alot on their shoulders but when they have each other and the new baby maybe the load can be lightened. Both are so in love with each other.
I loved reading their story, I couldn't put it down. I love every one of the characters in this series. It was definitely a crazy rollercoaster ride with twists and turns you don't see coming. That kept me on the edge of my seat. !
The characters, side characters, storyline and plot where wonderfully written. It's filled with action, drama, spice, secrets, suspense and loads more.
I will always be a big fan of c.b nous and will read whatever she puts out to the world. Can't wait for more. Highly recommended!!
