Event 3: A Dystopian Apocalyptic Horror Novel
Hattie and Mike wish to return their world to normal and escape the small farmhouse on the edge of the Poudre River in Eastern Colorado. The monsters who roam the Earth present a constant and life-threatening challenge and there seems no end to the blazing lights in the sky that caused the apocalypse. If they can’t escape their situation and discover the cause of the devastation, they will likely die amid the horror.
Currently, they survive sleeping in shifts, always on the lookout for one of the giant creatures. With their former lives gone, and their family dead, they seek the cause of their dystopian state. Since the blinding lights first came to the sky, they have wondered if they’re up to the gargantuan task ahead of them. But when a mysterious woman arrives on the river next to their house, what they learn gives them no choice but to risk their lives seeking an end to the madness.
Their last chance at a normal life has arrived and there is no choice but to plunge blindly into the darkness filled with hungry creatures.

Amazing!
When I tell you this book was so so good!Every chapter better than the last!I'm so invested in Mike and Hattie's story now.I don't want to give away any spoilers so I will just tell you to read the book you won't regret it!But I will say this one thing...so much for my idea of ppl arming themselves with water guns😕

Love This Series
Dr. Charles Welch has become one of my favorite authors. I discovered him with his series of Laughers. It was such an unique take on dystopia that I read everyone of that series and started The Event series. It is refreshing to read new takes on the end of the world as we know it. Next will be the Fog series. Excuse me, I have a good book to start!

Adventure with a Twist
Excellent third part of this Series. You can read it without having read the first two books. The plot is good, full of survival, mystery, thriller with a twist ending that satisfies. Highly recommend this author and his books, "The Event 1, 2, & 3 ".
