You're Enough #2

The Rescuer's Heart

Rate this book
Paramedic Justin Webb went out with friends for a fun night of dancing and drinking. There were shots, slapping, and kissing, and a car ride turned into a night of passion.

Nicole McGrath is a hairdresser barely scraping by to make ends meet. After a fun night with a friend where she kisses her brother’s gorgeous friend, he ends up in her bed. A few short weeks later, Nicole finds herself pregnant with a man she barely knows.

Justin battles daily with his own mental illness. Will he be able to handle getting to know Nicole and all that comes with her pregnancy and the responsibilities of being a father?

This interconnected standalone continues right after the epilogue of Annie You’re Okay, Book 1 of the You’re Enough Series.

I started my journey with Hazels Harem and I got sucked down the rabbit hole. I can't describe all the feels this author as invoked in me. Justin's story was so heartbreaking. As someone with a partner with mental health issues this book hit close to home. It was so beautifully written. I definitely found an author that everyone has to read. I can not wait for Spencer's story.

Another epic, beautiful, heartbreaking rollercoaster ride. As always Casiddie takes you through a field of emotions, breaking your heart and putting it back together all in one motion. Justin and Nicole aren't the typical love story. They do nearly everything backwards in a typical relationship but the absolute love and devotion they have for each other is beautiful.
The fact that the road isn't easy and they have to do more than just fall in love is nice to see in a contemporary story. Justin and Nicole have their own demons to fight and being open with each other is a gradual process rather than just all at once.
As always, her writing will run you through the wringer as you it on the edge of your seat, waiting for the next page or chapter or book.
I loved seeing characters from the first book - Annie You're Okay and am so excited to see what happens as the journey continues in the next standalone.
Definitely go read this one but there's a lot of triggers so please be aware and read them through.

This book wrecked me. There was a point where I had to put it down and come back another time because I was way too emotionally involved and was crushed. There's so much to unpack in this book. While the pregnancy in this book is unexpected, it happens right at the beginning so we get to see their relationship grow through the whole pregnancy. There are heart warming moments, moments of laughter, moments of tears and then moments of complete closure. The mental health rep is the majority of this book. Which gets worse as the book goes on so I would keep this in mind going into it. This is the second book in the series but as they are all stand alones, it isn’t necessary to read book one. Characters from book one are a huge part of this book but knowing their storyline more than what is present, isn’t necessary. This is unlike anything I’ve ever read before and would recommend this authors whole collection as they all bring out the deep feels.

I didn’t enjoy this book as much as Spencer’s

- Justin and Nicole
- ONS results in pregnancy
- She’s a hairdresser/ he’s a paramedic
- He has past trauma (depression, suicide, sibling loss)
- He went to rehab for depression and anxiety
- Angsty
- Lack of communication
- It took me a bit longer to get through this book

Such a beautiful story. The way the author carefully captures the main character’s backstory and mental health was incredibly done. There was such a great balance between plot and spice, I could not put this book down it was constantly in my head.

Another amazing book

Another amazing book by Casiddie Williams. After meeting Justin and Nicole in Annie You’re Okay, I couldn't wait to read their story. I was excited to follow them through their pregnancy journey as well as Annie, Blake, and Cole's, who was also pregnant at the same time. You will get to meet Justin's partner Spencer on a deeper level and several other side characters that feel like they might appear in the next book in this series. So many emotions packed into one book, and yes, you will cry, but you will also laugh, so it balances out. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Oh, and Candy also returned but behaved herself this time.
