IVY Is a full length stand-alone romance novel by Willa Nash aka Devlin Perry. Spoken in triple POV's.

So many secrets uncovered, and yet there were many more that were kept hidden. Everything branched off Ivy, from the girls to the brothers, every little tidbit of gossip led back to her. This kept my attention throughout.

This was soooooo long but soooooo freaking good!! Instead of one story we get 3, and the 3 HOT men that claim them. This story revolves around Ivy, Elora who are besties and their new roommate Cassia who moves into the mansion. Each of these girls harbour secrets which they don't want to get out.

This was so unique, and I loved how each story played out. I couldn't get enough, I savoured every word, every chapter, I need more because this was so different to what we normally get from this author.

4.5 ⭐️ this book had me HOOOKED from start to finish. the pll & gossip girl vibes were GIVINGGGG☝🏻 I loved the secrets, the aesthetic, the characters, and I loved all 3 couples so much! I barely noticed it was in third pov 🤭 I did get annoyed w some characters in certain scenes but it’s fine. everything’s fine. I also wish there was more of a big moment where all their secrets got revealed (picture: gossip girl thanksgiving episode) but I loved it nonetheless. and. the epilogue. goodbye 🥹🥹🥹

This book was so intriguing and fun to read. Full of secrets, angst, and that new adult goodness I love! Definitely for fans of shows like ‘Gossip Girl’, Ivy follows three roommates… and their secrets.

I would recommend going into this spoiler free, so I don’t want to say much, but if I had to break down the romances in this book I would rate:

Elora & Zain- 4.5 stars
Cassia & Edwin- 4 stars
Ivy & Tate- 3.5 stars

THIS. BOOK. I did not know what the expect when I went into it but I loved every second of it! This was the perfect blend of a suspense novel and a romance. I love that we follow three women trying to figure themselves out. While it takes place during college, I didnt feel that the characters were immature. I LOVED IT

if you liked this book don’t read this review 😂

I picked this up because I heard comparisons of pretty little liars, gossip girl & magnolia parks..

To compare this to magnolia parks should be illegal it is NOTHING like that series, bar the fact that they are rich young adults

gossip girl.. not really, maybe the academic setting but still nowhere near

pretty little liars? there’s no real mysteries or juicy secrets or thriller elements to this at all

So what’s this about.. Cassia moving into Clarence House for the start of a new school year with Ivy & Elora, Ivy is a bitch to Cassia out of nowhere for absolutely no reason except for the fact that she’s just known to treat people like shit, and Elora is bland as anything and Ivys best friend, who I still at the end of this book cannot decide whether they actually liked and cared for each other as friends. The whole ‘can you keep a secret’ idea did not work in this 😂

This follows each other their relationships and family affairs and is supposed to be full of secrets and twists and turns.. it really isn’t.

There is absolutely no real character depth to anyone in this book. I was hoping all the storylines would entwine in a really juicy way but honestly all of the ‘secrets’ fell SO flat. The pacing was so odd it was very disjointed, the book isn’t short but the relationships all develop so fast? But other parts felt so slow?

The academic setting honestly felt like it may as well not been there, the amount of times we hear them talking about studying and turning in papers, but there’s no real scenes set at the school it felt like it was unnecessary, we could’ve just followed a group of affluent young rich people outside of school (like MPU tbh it wouldve worked so much better for this story)

I can see what Devney Perry was going for with this, but it was really so dull, needed to be way more fleshed out, suspenseful and intriguing 😭 I’m sorry

Wow! What was this?! Deliciously twisted, torturously angsty, and intensely hawt, that’s what!

This contained three stories, three romances, and numerous, “What the hecks?!” The characters varied from those that I immediately loved to others that I was wondering what this author was even thinking when creating them. The stories that unfolded kept me on the edge, waiting for the final reveal for each of them. It was agonizing waiting for it and with such a hefty page count, the agony was intensified.

While this is not what I usually find when I read a Willa Nash or even a Devney Perry book, I still enjoyed all its surprising turns and at times, gut wrenching, moments. The darker, heavier feel was something I never expected and caused my anticipation to ramp up immediately. That created a sense of anticipation from the first pages that continued to build with each page.

While there were so many questions buzzing throughout, the ending was everything I could want with the added benefit of an epilogue that gave me all that my romance loving heart could ever desire.

HOLY CR*P! IVY came out of nowhere – a surprised release by Willa Nash and it was AMAZING. It’s a standalone, super long but oh so worth it. There are three couples alternating each chapters so I feel like I am reading 3 romance novels all in one. Quite a bonus!!!
Unique, dark, twisty, angsty, suspense, full of secrets all kind of crazy. Go in blind and you will enjoy a great ride. PHENOMENAL read!!!

Nothing's really wrong with it, I simply lost interest. Ivy is a quintessential college melodrama about a group of uber-rich kids, very much in the vein of Pretty Little Liars; I was vibing with the angsty, messy relationships and familial intrigues at the start, but at 500+ pages the story/characters are too predictable and slow-moving to gather much excitement for me to picking the book back up.

It also doesn't help when every single character in the story is described as the most beautiful, the most handsome, attractive human being — coming across way too artificial and fantastical. I think at this point in my life I'm aged out of reading glossy gossips about model-like college kids driving Porsche and Bentley, living in family manor and drinking to oblivion about their romance woes — I want more grittiness and true character arc in my story if I'm committing to this much page count.

Would've worked as stress-free, fast entertainment has it been 300+ pages — still can't believe I wasn't even halfway through the book after all this time!

This was such a treat! It’s angsty and twisty and follows three heroines/roommates who live at Clarence Manor.

We begin by following Cassia as she is new to the manor and to Aston University.

From there it begins…

And by “it,” I mean the secrets, the lies, suspense, twists, turns, betrayal, sex, love…what a wild ride!

I’m glad I went in blind. You get three story lines (and three love stories) all in one book! But everything is intertwined!

I’ll just say…my faves were Elora and Zain! 🥰

I would love to see this author write some more stories like this one! It wasn’t “dark,” but it has some definite edge!!

Hopefully there are spin off plans for Lucas?? Maybe? Possibly? 🤞🏼

Thank you to Willa Nash for my gorgeous signed copy of Ivy and the matching bookmark. I loved this one and would highly recommend it to fans of Gossip Girl, Cruel Intentions, The Royals series by Erin Watt, and any other epic dark/edgy academia stories.

I'm not sure what i was expecting but I loved this book. Told in 3rd POV, we get to see the story of 3 couples in one book. The focus is on the girls aka Cassia, Ivy and Elora and the chapters alternate between each (first Cassia, then Elora and the Ivy).

Cassia is running from the past and lands in a luxury manor as roommate of Ivy and Elora. Unlike the other two, she's poor and focused on finishing college and moving on. She meets Edwin Clarence (Ivy's twin brother) and their connection is instantaneous. Edwin is so cute and sweet, and while he has the tough demanding side too, he took his relationship with Cassia really slow, first becoming her friend and showing she could trust him. He gave her time and space and was always very respectful.

Elora is the ice princess. All her life she was taught to not cry and to hide her emotions. Her silence doesn't help when she falls in love and keeps a secret: Elora is in a secret relationship with Zain Clarence (Ivy's oldest brother). And gosh, the way I felt so sad and bad for Zain. He truly loved her and accepted being kept a secret to be with her. He always ended up hurt and both were left bleeding but couldn't stop seeing each other. Their relationship was a full circle of pain. She/he would end it but their bond was so strong they could not not be together again or see each other which led to more heartbreaking.

Ivy is the puppet master. She knows everyone's secrets. She loves to be in control and have everyone playing the roles she set for them. Something in the past changed her making her mean and nasty. But then Tate (Zain's friend) comes around and if there is something he demands is control. He won't set for less but have Ivy wanting and obsessing over him like he's with her. He pushed her buttons, he didn't fall for her knife like tongue or her games. He wanted her, the real her and not the brat she was comfortable being. And it was good to see Ivy let go of her facade and growing up.

A 500+ Pages book that was divided to tell 3 stories. While I felt like Cassia and Edwin were dragged, I was left wanting more of the other two couples. Don't mind me because I did like Cassia and Edwin but they had little going on for other than besides studying together. Cassia's past was sad and heavy but not something that could justify the dragging. A bit more of time to develop Tate and Ivy perhaps since it felt all very instantaneous.

I also loved how good the three guys were. Very patient but also very mature. I loved how Zain was there for Elora but knew it had to end, I loved how Tate respected Zain and didn't touch Ivy until he was honest with his friend about his intentions and I loved how he didn't hide it like most 'brother best friend trope' does. And I loved how quiet and patient Edwin was, how he tried to prove he was worthy to be trusted and how he didn't push Cassia for answers or digging the past.

First of all i never would've expected Willa to grow fangs and write a book so Enticingly wicked, it spoke to my dark heart like a Swan song. I love this bite in her words. Willa proves yet again that a phenomenal writer can just about make any story awesome cause genius is in her head. What a departure from her usual small town, sweet/angsty romance this has been. I sucked in every word like a delectable, forbidden wine with dark chocolate, savouring them with a naughty delight while doing so.
its a big fat book. Three stories about three couples enmeshed in one, because these characters are crazy about each other, make each other crazy and end up falling crazily in love.
A crazy ride into the world of young adults struggling to balance their academics, life, peers, bullies and all sorts of secrets they're hiding.
It's a lot of pressure for someone so young and herein lies its beauty.
Willa has handled the trope of Bully Romance in a very refreshing way. Enough to keep me intrigued and invested, who stays miles away from this trope.
But as the gates of the mansion opened, I wanted to explore every corner, nook & cranny of this intriguing house haunted with terrible memories. The house is crawling with Poison Ivy, literally and metaphorically.
Ivy Clarence is wound around the Mansion, looking beautiful from afar but it hides venomous snakes of lies, betrayals and an obsession with control.

“Trusting people is how you get your heart broken.”
“You’ve got it wrong.” Edwin shook his head.
“Trusting people is how you mend your broken heart.”

Cassia Collins is the latest victim who seems to have wandered in this poisonous den to be devoured by Ivy.
Elora Eldorado just sits on the sidelines, munching popcorn and watches the drama unfold every time.
This trio of crazy-in-the-head people have an obsession with hiding their own skeletons while they go around digging others' backyards. Also involved are Ivy's brothers Zain & Edwin and their friend Tate. But generally they're here to lend amorous support. The book belongs to these women!!

"Sometimes the blood in your veins is a curse, not a blessing.”

Although they're as much a spectators as Cassia, soon things begin to unravel and unhinge pretty fast. cassia impressed me with her mettle and sass, Eldora with her broken heart but Ivy really turned over to show me a vulnerable side of her. And it was humbling and endearing at the same time
I loved the book, couldn't stop reading it and would've loved some more of it. Another spectacular Ivy Leaf in Willa's crown

this was so wild and so fun!!! i loved every second of it. it’s so different then Devney’s other books but the heart of it still remains the same. there were so many twists and shocking revelations i legit gasped several times. at one point jt was one revelation after the other i was like HOW IS IT ALL GONNA END???? it was so cool following 3 FMCs in one book and seeing how their lives and secrets twisted together. there were darker moments in this book which added more depth to the story.

this book is a perfect combo of gossip girl and pretty little liars..honestly would love to see this turn into a tv show! also the spice in this one…i mean we have 3 couples expect a lot of ✨moments ✨

they fit together like puzzle pieces. her edges weren’t so jagged when he held her close.

original rating: 4.5 stars
reread rating: 4 stars

this book is so wildly fun and immersive, the vibes moody and twisted! though the plot is pretty much nonexistent, I can't say I missed it since the characters were so well-executed. with the setting being an elite university in boston, where money is power and secrets run wild, I was interested in learning more about how their lives were all tangled together.

as an avid romance reader, the fact that this book had three really spoke my language. just when you think you have a favorite, the next chapter focuses on another couple that is just as hot hot hot! and the final chapters felt especially satisfying to see the entire group come together.

just a really fun book overall that I could easily come back to again and again.

The moment I read that this book has the vibe and elements of two of my all time favourite shows - Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl I knew I had to pick this one. And boy did it deliver on its promise! 😍 I absolutely DEVOURED this book and i loved every second of it.

It story begins with Cassia who has recently transferred to college in Aston for her senior year and finds herself moving into a fanciest manor - (The Clarence Manor) she has ever seen in her life with lush gardens , elaborate interiors , a butler , a personal chef and two roommates - Elora & Ivy. She knew this was too good to be true but she told herself that all she had to do was keep a low profile , keep her past locked away and graduate. How hard can that be? .

Little did Cassia know once you are in Clarence Manor you no longer are in control of your life. Soon she found herself getting tangled in the web of lies and secrets that were swirling around Clarence Manor while trying her best to keep her past hidden away . Her roommate were not wh they As Ivy was rumoured to be manipulative wicked and cold who loves to toy with people's emotions and Elora was infamous for her impassive and mysterious nature.

But the day Cassia bumped into Edwin Clarence who was perfection personified and drop dead gorgeous her life went upside down. she found herself wildly drawn towards him and consumed by him. The more she tried to free herself from all of it , distance herself from everything the more she found herself getting pulled into the lies and secrets of all these strangers.

💌 What I loved most about this book is Character Development and the hypnotising Chemistry between the characters ( 🔥🔥🔥)
💌 It does a brilliant job at making the characters very real and human who are just doing their best to survive and navigate complicated relationships .
💌 But it also highlights that no matter how much you try to put on a facade there will always be people who will see right through you and will tear down your walls and accept you for who you are.

This was a wicked good and delectable read that will pull you into the lives of all these unique characters and leave you craving for more. I definitely enjoyed this nor than i thought I would.

[3★] the blurb of this book makes it seem much more interesting than it actually is. i was really excited to read this especially since a lot of people described it as “pretty little liars meets gossip girl” and ngl i was kinda underwhelmed.

i would commend the author for their efforts cause the vibes were there but the execution didn’t feel right. also, i was expecting it to be much more darker and creepier and it really wasn’t?? none of the “secrets” were jaw dropping (which kinda ruined the whole thing cause that’s the premise of the book y’know!!) with the exception of Cassia’s (iykyk, that one specific reveal at the end literally caught me off guard).

there are three romantic relationships that are explored and all of them were cringe. Tate gave me the ick, he was too possessive and controlling in my opinion. also this book is over 500 pages when it could’ve been much shorter. the mysteries were dragged out and at times it felt as if nothing was happening.

Spoilers ahead 3.5*

I remember in my early teens, I'd sit for one hour with my grandmother while she watched her soap opera. Nothing and no one was to interrupt that hour of toxicity on the television.....this was the written version of that.

This book firstly follows three young ladies

Ivy rich self indulgent cruel and a bully
Ellora Ivy's best friend who's got secrets of her own
Cassia a recent transfer student, poor and renting a room in Ivy's family manor....secrets of her own.

In all honesty I was going to rate this maybe 2.5* for the following reasons......

1)This was just so messy. Ivy had been hooking up with another guy before the book even starts and she's still desperate behind him at the beginning.....my biggest issue is that she almost had sex with that asshole after meeting the H. And that asshole was around almost to the end. They didn't have sex after that but she had intention another time and then finally realised her feelings were changing. Now she wasn't in a relationship with the H yet but trust me I wasn't a fan.

2)Ellora had been in a secret "relationship ' for 3 years. She loves him he loves her but she's convinced she's not good enough for him and then she finds out a family secret that impacts him as well so she pushes him away. This would go on over and over..... she'd say this is the last time......but Ultima it actually wasnt the last time 🙄 it got old pretty quickly. He just wanted to be in an actual relationship with her but she's dumb so of course when she runs again she walks into a club and he has OW on his lap 🙄. Another time he said he's going on a date and it's the same OW. I was mad at him but I couldn't really be mad because Ellora was just stupid. Thankfully he didn't have sex with anyone else after meeting the h but again I wasn't a fan.

3)The author was determined to draw these secrets out until the very last second..... we'd come to a pivotal moment and then the pov would change 🤦🏿‍♀️

4) Cassia's relationship seemed the most stable but the H pulled a couple shit moves too.

5) Typical of this author the couples actually spent weeks apart 😒

BUT
Then I got to Cassia's secret and though it had tragic consequences that's ultimately what raised my rating...... because omg I did not see that coming!!!

This book was too long, the secrets dragged out to the Max but It's now 3:33 am that's how entertained I was by this trashy soap opera 😂 can't say I'd reread this but it was entertaining on this go round.

******
No cheating

The beginning was rough and it took me awhile to get into it. Along the way i definitely got more interested, but i got bored very quickly again. Idk maybe i just wasn’t in the mood to read such a long book with 3 povs in 3rd person ..

What an interesting turn for the usually sweet and softer Willa Nash! Ivy is an edgier and soapier story than I’ve read before- but I really enjoyed the wild ride. New adult characters means new adult emotions- it’s a bit campy, full of juicy secrets, and quite entertaining a la other new adult favs like Pretty Little Liar.s Not quite what I expected from Willa Nash, but a treat nonetheless.

We have a trio of heroines that center this story- and a barrage of all things new adult that makes for all the good drama. Young love, school life, bullying, elite world responsibilities, and lots and lots of secrets. While this certainly is a bully romance with a ample amount of mystery and suspense, it also still has that Devney/Will flair- amazing characters, meaningful connections, a well constructed and steadily meted plot, and butterfly moments, too. Ivy, Cassia, and Elora are all intriguing leading women, each with their own secrets and agendas. Different parts of their stories and character arcs resonated with me in different ways, but what I love most of all is how distinctly they drive this story. We have plenty of romance and some yummy leading men- but the girls are the queen bees.

This story’s serial beginnings are certainly apparent in the reading experience, an interesting juxtaposition of narrative styles and how they are best presented now that Vella and other more serialized methods are making their way back into mainstream and indie romance story telling. And the serial aspect has assets, and some lesser so. A perk is we get the stories of multiple main characters, each bring their own dramatic flair to the whole but with individual arcs of their own. Another implication of the serial approach is that each snippet POPS- mini episodes that really keep the drama high and keep you connected and dialed into the unfolding plot. The downside is that to some, me included), the drama feels a bit drawn out and some plot lines meander a bit to keep things in the air. The storyline is full of secrets and juicy drama, so at least with the length it’s fun and entertaining, though the resolution felt a bit brief.

All in all, a super consumable load of fun and a true page turner. Interesting to see Willa try her hand in different sub-genres and put her own spin on them. And is this cover not to die for?!

3.5 stars. “To secrets. And the friends we trust to keep them.”

This one took me a while to get through and I just left kind of underwhelmed, maybe just “whelmed” is the better way to put it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ This is said to have Pretty Little Liars vibes, I’ve never watched that so I don’t know. Basically we follow 3 college age women: Ivy, Elora, and Cassia. 2 of which are from uber wealthy prestigious families. They all are living in the same off-campus manor together that Ivy’s family owns. Ivy and Elora have been friends since they were children, while Cassia is the new-to-the-group roommate who transferred colleges in her senior year. Along the way we meet the men in their lives: Tate, Zain, and Edwin (2 of which are Ivy’s brothers). So we get kind of 3 romances happening in this which was fun. We have lots of secrets, scandals, family secrets, lots of chapters ending on somewhat suspense-lite moments.

I was definitely intrigued at first and didn’t know much about this at all before going in. But then as I was reading, it mostly just felt like nothing was happening and I was just wondering what the point of it all was. 😅 I feel like we didn’t get enough and probably too much of other things. All in all, it wasn’t “bad”, it just wasn’t amazing and didn’t hold my attention. There are plenty of Devney Perry (pen name is Willa Nash for her kindle unlimited books) I enjoy much more.

OMG this freaking book!! Turns and twists and pure INSANITY. I loved it. I loved the deviousness of Ivy, the mystery of Elora, and the wholesome Cassia. The men were deliciously fun. As always you get the found family that is a hallmark of Perry/Nash but it’s so dark and twisty I almost forgot I was reading her writing for a bit! She flexes some SERIOUS writing chops here. Brava! I keep trying to think of my favorite storyline and I can’t because I loved them all. It was good ol’fashioned fun. Gossip girl meets Nora Roberts by way of General Hospital. LOVE LOVE LOVE! You won’t be disappointed with this ride. Xoxo.
