Our guide is full of specific and detailed information that will be key to passing your exam. Concepts and principles aren't simply named or described in passing, but are explained in detail. Because it's written with an eye for both technical accuracy and accessibility, you will not have to worry about getting lost in dense academic language.
Any test prep guide is only as good as its practice questions and answer explanations, and that's another area where our guide stands out. The Mometrix test prep team has provided plenty of LSAT practice test questions to prepare you for what to expect on the actual exam. Each answer is explained in depth, in order to make the principles and reasoning behind it crystal clear. Compared to LSAC's LawHub PTs, this books practice test is a bit different. The LR qts in this book are lengthier, like 5-7 sentences, which is uncommon, but not nonexistent, in LawHub drill sets and PTs. However, this book has easier passages and less convoluted question-answers, so I was also able to finish it in 35mins. But I dont think its gonna match the actual LSAT test which is most similar to LawHub Practice Tets 150-154, according to ppl who've taken it this year. Atleast the question stems do match LawHub but this book mostly has Flaws, Assumptions, Weaken/Strengthen Argument, Inferences. Thats only 5 out of the 12 types of questions/question stems on the LSAT. LawHub PTs have ALOT of Parallel Reasoning and Principle question stems that I recommend people practice. I also wish this book had a scale for converting our raw score to an LSAT score. I got 82/102 (including the experimental section, bc idk which one it was) and some online sources say thats a 167, others say its a 177. On LawHub, I've been getting 155-165 on practice tests, so this book is def wayyyy easier than the actual LSAT.
I only got this book for the PTs so thats all I care about. But I think the other parts explaining how to do the LSAT are good. I 100^ agree with NOT reading a question before reading the passage. It just wastes precious time.
This is the first LSAT test prep book I got, and it gives such a great step-by-step guide for beginners who are just starting to learn the concept of LSAT test materials. This book provides sample problems and answer explanations. I love how it breaks down section by section (reading comp, logical reasoning, and argumentative writing).
Because of this book, I got a 75% on my FIRST diagnostic LSAT exam. I really thought I would get a super low score, like a 25-35%. So, I highly recommend this prep book if you are starting hands-on practice on the test materials and problems. The key is to PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. There really is no trick. It's all about figuring out your best study approach.
