Dash is a dark lion with a dark secret. Living as an orphan in the cold, winter forest, he strives to hide that secret from the other young animals that have come to resent him. But when he meets the animal that has haunted his past, he isn’t sure what to do.
Meanwhile, Princess Saderia finally gets her wish to go to school, but she gets way more than she bargained for when she meets a fun-loving cheetah, a bullying panther, three prissy girls, prejudiced teachers, and a strange assistant principal who seems to enjoy making Saderia’s life more difficult. But there is no one as strange as the dark lion that sits in the back and hides his face from her—a lion she is as drawn to as she is mystified by.
As Saderia and Dash get to know each other, Saderia becomes determined to discover what Dash is hiding from her, while Dash struggles to keep his darkest secrets hidden from the only animal that could ever be his friend.
Sarah Renée has loved writing from an early age. She has been writing short stories since the age of four, and at the age of ten, she came up with the idea for The Tiger Princess. She wrote the 330-page novel when she was twelve. She is fascinated with wild animals and the wild world outside her home, and has an obvious great love of tigers. She enjoys spending time with her cats, reading, drawing, and playing her violin when she is not writing. In her free time, she is constantly daydreaming about her many characters, creating new ones, and coming up with interesting adventure story ideas. She is fifteen years old.
After finding her parents in “The Tiger Princess”, the first instalment of Saderia series, princess Saderia is trying to have a bit of a normal life. She decides that it is time for her to go to school like all the other kids do.
However, after all she is from the royal family and at first teachers treat her like a spoiled princess & keep warning her that she won’t be treated differently from everyone else. Saderia needs to work really hard to prove them all wrong.
Obviously not all of her classmates are nice and kind, too and Saderia faces bullies. Well, they don’t exactly bully her but Dash who is very shy and lives on his own in the forest. Saderia is instantly drawn to him and they become best friend very soon. However, Dash holds a secret which could destroy their friendship forever.
When not in school, Saderia spends a lot of time with her parents trying to make up for the lost time. Her life seems pretty normal apart from her vivid dreams which are becoming really difficult to understand. Her intuition tries to guide her but Saderia has really hard time reading the signs. But her life is turned upside down just when she finds out about…
“Dash” is a lovely story about friendship, trust and forgiveness. Sarah Renée did an excellent job describing dynamics & politics at school.
I would recommend the book to parents, children & teachers. The book will give parents & teachers great inside to children’s school life.
In the second book in the Saderia series, we find Saderia reunited with her mom and dad. Yes, Saderia did save the day and dicvoered that her parents did nor perish in the fire as previously thought in book one. Now Saderia is ready to go to school. She is excited to go to school and make friends.
Dash is also a new student attending school. However he has a secret. One that he does not want anyone to learn about. It will be hard for fear that if Saderia remembers Dash then she will expose everything.
I found myself liking this book better then the first. I found my stride. Still a fan of Saderia. She is growing up. Most of the new friends that Saderia met at school I liked. Of course the mean girls and Saderia's teacher I did not care for. It just goes to show you that even a princess has to deal with bullies at school. Dash was a nice addition to this series. Hope to see more of him.
Dash is a orphaned dark lion who lives in the cold winter forest. Dash has a dark secret that he cannot tell anyone. He was afraid of what other animals would think of him if he told. Then Dash meets Saderia, the Tiger Princess, and as they started getting to know each other, Saderia could tell that Dash has a long dark secret that plaqued his life. And this is where the excitement and adventurous journey begins.
DASH is a really cute book for the younger generation to read! Well, even I enjoyed it, so its really an enjoyable book for anyone to read! I felt so sorry for Dash because he was dealing with things that he was afraid to tell anyone. And then came Saderia, an adorable character from the first book in this series. Dash and Saderia became friends, but they sometimes their situations were not so easy, and I found myself cheering these two adorable animals on, because I wanted to see them both free and happy. This book teaches the valuable lessons of determination and not giving up, friendship and acceptance of others. Sarah Renee is a wonderful author and tells amazing stories that young people everywhere will enjoy and adore. I really want to encourage you to pick up a copy of Dash, The Tiger Princes, and the other books in Sarah Renee’s awesome series. You will fall in love with these adorable animal friends.

Dash, the second book in the Saderia Series by Sarah Renée, continues the story of Saderia, the Tiger Princess. This story introduces a new major character, one we caught an anonymous glimpse of in the first book; a young lion named Dashenirus – Dash.
Saderia is happily beginning regular school for the first time in her life, but is facing challenges because she is not a regular animal; she is a princess. In addition to the expected adjustments of starting anything new, she is also facing prejudice - not only from students, but from teachers and administration - because of her royal heritage. Everyone expects her to act like a spoiled, pampered princess, something she has never been or wanted to be, and she is greeted with varying amounts of unearned or deserved anger, suspicion and distrust.
But Saderia shows her toughness and unwillingness to give up, proving once again to be a positive main character role-model. She finds a real friend, and also reaches out a paw to lonely, sad and mysterious Dash. And then the adventure begins. Dash is a story of friendship and acceptance. But there are sinister undertones and Saderia’s confusing prophetic dreams seem to indicate trouble ahead for the two young animal friends. As a reader, you will find yourself rooting for both Dash and Saderia, and crossing your fingers for a happy ending.
"Dash", the worthy second installment of the "Tiger Princess" series by author Sarah Renee, will surely enchant young readers. The book reveals answers to some lingering questions which were left unresolved from the first tale, and satisfies those who were left wanting more of Saderia's story.
"Dash" picks up shortly after the "Tiger Princess" ends, with the Princess entering (for the first time)a brand new school. All the typical high school types are embodied there in the forms of lions, tigers, leopards, and other animals. We get to meet the loner, the outsider, the eccentric elders, and the snobbish popular clique, as they all interact with the newcomer. They toy with Saderia's emotions - as she tries valiantly to have a normal life - despite her title of Princess.
Parents or grandparents reading this review will understand when I say this tiger Princess is reminiscent of Princess Anne (as portrayed by the luminous Audrey Hepburn) in the film "Roman Holiday". She understands her obligation to duty, yet craves the freedom, and anonymity allotted to the common folks. Miss Renee has faithfully captured the stress and tortures of middle school peer interaction, while simultaneously painting a touching portrait of friendship surrounded by conflict,as terrible things occur which test those bonds. I highly endorse this book for boys and girls from the ages of 7 - 11.
