Jerry thought he had an easy score to make some cash. Too bad for him, he failed to factor in the resolve of the guys he burgled . They weren't the sort of fellas the average thief would ever think twice about stealing from, but that was about to change. After the LVPD produced zero results, these fellas took matters into their own hands. A private detective, road trip, and duct tape seemed like the best course of action, and boy howdy, the action ensued. Ol' Jerry never stood a chance. What happened after that was a comedy of errors that will keep you wondering what next? If you've ever craved revenge, this story will strike a chord that will have you singing along, and laughing your guts out!
A short story, fast-paced, readable on the bus or train.
When a friend of a friend breaks the rules, someone has to teach him respect. When someone steals from you that you trust, you do what you have to. An adventure through the desert, an encounter with the police, and a lesson learned.
I found this to be a very good story about real life. I like the way Jt Sather put the story together and kept it real. He made what could have been just another day in Las Vegas come alive and be exciting. The story is short, but the thoughts it provokes may stay with you a while. I was not happy to see 25% of this book dedicated to other books written by this author.
If the authors goals were to entertain, that goal was reached. I found his story very good, and enjoyed reading it. Unfortunately, the goal of promoting other works by the author confused me.
I can recommend this story to those who enjoy a good, exciting story. I would probably read more of his memoirs if my schedule permits.
This book is a quick read at only 70 pages but it was an enjoyable read.
A tale that proves righteous intentions don’t all work as expected.
The visual I got when I read this book was of a 1970’s motel/apt building with a not so clean pool area, chain fence half hanging down from the posts, and all the residents sitting around on those old yellow ribbon type lawn chairs with a beer in their hands, dirty jean shorts and muscle shirts.
Just makes me laugh.
A helping hand to someone that turns into an Odyssey for three friends, the kind of friends that would help you bury a body and not ask questions. When their good will is paid with the theft of some expensive equipment and the police are no help, a chance meeting with a van driving private eye gives the friends a target for their anger.
The ensuing hunt starts out great and looks like justice will be served but the friends underestimate the reaction of the LVPD when they show up with a fugitive from justice.
Pretty much just a fun romp and delightful hour (if that) of enjoying the situations, characters, and rare wit of the author. A fast paced little story about trust, betrayal, revenge, justice, and duct tape. It doesn't get any more real on either side of fiction. A story right out of the American new West - which is the same as the old west if you rub a layer of dust off it. I'm not sure if Jt Sather wiped the dust off the old west or sprinkled some on the modern one. Either way, the result is a great enjoyable read not unlike the books of Zane Grey with a little Ken Kesey thrown in. Great way to burn an afternoon, trying to figure out how everyone seemed to get one over on each other and still wound up ahead in the end.
"Reasonable Malice" by J.T. Sather is a very entertaining thriller about two friends who are taking revenge on a 'friend' who wronged them. This story has great entertainment value. Sather has created realistic and fun characters with good dynamics between them. This has the same quality of a many great action comedies where something goes wrong and the characters get deeper and deeper into trouble. The plot is very enjoyable and written with wit and a sense of humour. However, underneath the surface is also a moral tale about right and wrong that ended the story for me on a very satisfactory note and showed that good fun does not have to be meaningless at all. Very good.

I enjoyed my ride on the wild side. It’s the perfect antidote for forced sharing of public space with some unruly, antisocial misfit.
Reasonable Malice by JT Sather is light and heavy, entertaining and appalling. And the story comes across so well only because of the author’s uncomplicated, cleverness with words and timing.
JT Sather’s writing is medicine to be taken whenever the walls become to close. He’ll uncover the problem, offer escape and provide the tools to rebuild any damage done, all without needing to leave the armchair.
I loved Reasonable Malice by JT Sather. I’ll read this book again, the next time it rains, when it shouldn’t. Five stars.
Sit back, take a small part of your evening, and let Jt Sather spin you one damned good yarn. This guy has the kind of voice, the kind of humor, that I could listen to all day. This tale of justice, vengeance, and the ramifications of taking the bull by the horns had me cheering and laughing the whole way through, and I had to finish it even though it's four in the morning and I should be tucked away sleeping. It's one part hard-boiled crime, one part black comedy, and feels like the modern-day answer to the Tall Tales of American folklore. I highly recommend it!
Really enjoyed this short read. would have liked to see Jerry get his just deserts ;) think we all could relate to this story at some time in our lives! Felt like I was right there the whole time..looking forward to reading more by J.T. Sather

I really enjoyed the book “Reasonable Malice” by JT Sather. In it Sather tells about how he got revenge on an ex-friend who stole from him. This book was based on a true story so if it really happened then I want to give Sather a high-five.
If you have ever had a friend betray you then this is the story for you! I think Sather did a great job on “Reasonable Malice”. The story is very entertaining, funny and told in an easy manner. I felt as if I was sitting next to Sather at a bar and he was telling me about his life. At times the story is a little hard to believe but I still choose to believe that everything happened. Only because it was such a cool story that if not everything really happened, I would be sorely disappointed. Especially the whole trunk incident thing. The cops’ reaction to the whole thing had me laughing. Sather also educated me on what “Nike” means. There is some minor swearing but I think it adds to the story. Sather sounds like a cool person to know and a good friend to have. I hope no one decides to cross him again, but if they do I definitely want to hear about how he gets revenge on them. Sometimes you have to be karma and decide the revenge yourself. . I can only wish I was as clever as Sather was in this story. For sure I will be recommending this book. *I reviewed this book for Readers' Favorite
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I have to say that this one was not nearly as good as Sather's first book. I just didn't think it had the same attention to detail and verve. This might've made a good additional to the first story, as a couple chapters, but I don't think the experiences that are detailed here rated their own tome.
It's a weak tale of vengeance ... read Sather's other book (What To Do When the Bottom Drops Out) for a much more satisfying look at his pseudo-experiences.
