Rate this book
A snowed-in cabin at New Year’s. Two enemies. An arrangement to keep our hands to ourselves. My favorite week of the year is the one between Christmas and New Year’s when my friends and I head to Grandma Gigi’s cabin in the mountains of Maple Ridge, Colorado. Since losing Gigi earlier this year, I need this week of snow, campfires, spiked eggnog, and strip UNO more than ever to get me through the holiday season. But when a stranger strolls into town claiming he owns half of the cabin and decides to crash our festivities, I go from jolly St. Nick to The Grinch. Nico Moretti is a cattle rancher from Texas. He’s all legs and solid muscle. Which makes it harder to hate him. Except he’s trying to take away the only thing I have left of Gigi. The cabin. Nico knows exactly how to push my buttons. Between my sass and his dirty mouth, we can’t resist the temptation any longer. We come up with an one and done. Just once to get it out of our systems. Except when the power goes out and we get snowed-in, delaying the arrival of my friends, our arrangement becomes agonizing. We tease, toe the boundary line, and get creative.Baby, it’s cold outside, but inside the cabin, things are scorching! We discover secrets from the past. The summer fling between my grandma and Nico’s granddad was more than that. They had an epistolary love affair that spanned over five decades. Will we repeat their mistakes? Sobbing 😭

“My mark is here.” He runs his finger over my heart, and I glance down to investigate.

“It’s evidence I was here. A reminder that for at least one night, you were mine.”

💭 After the passing of their grandparents, Nico + Rosie find themselves sharing ownership of Rosie's beloved cabin. Even though it is very obvious they both hate each other, the tension and chemistry between them is undeniable.

In a twist of events, the two find themselves stuck in the cabin together for days. With nothing to do but bicker, discover secrets... and maybe each other.

Guys. This one was so good. It was so funny but also absolutely heartbreaking at moments. And then even more healing. It's the kind of book that you finish, and although you know they are happy, you still want more. Because you just love them so much.

If you like:
• hate to love
• stuck in a cabin
• delicious banter
• "get it out of our system"

Then this is for you. But I HIGHLY recommend starting with the origin novella "come back to me".

I just adored this! Thank you LeAnne for the ARC!

Nico and Rosie have such a great love story! They both inherit a cabin from his grandfather and her grandmother. Neither want to share, but they’re supposed to come up with an agreement. They both decide to spend the holidays at the cabin and their chemistry is off the charts! He’s a hot cowboy and she can’t stay away from him. They get snowed in and also learn about the mystery of the love story of their grandparents. I definitely shed a tear! There is grief and anxiety representation as well. So beautiful, definitely add to your TBR!

Ummmm….excuse me?! All you lovers of dirty talking cowboys, this is a must read! This was so good, I literally could not put it down. Nico is a great MMC, a gentleman who definitely has a dirty side to him. Rosie is so sassy and can hold her own. I loved the banter between Nico and Rosie and thought their story was so well written. I’m a sucker for forced proximity and add in them being snowed in…*chef’s kiss.

Wow, Leanne knocked this one out of the park!! Nico and Rosie might just be my favorite Maple Ridge couple so far! They find themselves trapped in a cabin in the woods during a snowstorm as they’re supposed to be deciding what to do with the cabin they both are somehow co-owners of. While they discover family secrets from decades ago that bring up a lot of emotions for both of them, they both are still grieving the loss of loved ones and are able to understand and connect with each other in a way no one else can. I loved the conclusion and the hints for the next book already have me excited!

Yet another 5 star read for this series
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Do you want a spicy, white Christmas read where enemies Nico & Rosie get snowed in at the cabin they're fighting for the rights to? And not just any cabin, THE cabin owned by MCs Leo & Giana (Gigi) from the prequel set during the Vietnam War! What follows is a journey of discovery into what really happened all those years ago, and the crazy things people will do for love.

Every time LeAnne releases a new book, I absolutely rave about them and Stuck With Me is no different. This series is easily one of my favourites for 2023; not only was I captivated from start to finish, but her writing style and the fun choices she makes in the plot are so appreciated. The 🔥 is electric, the characters are honest and vulnerable and the way my heart is pulled in every direction doesn't often happen.

We all have stories that play on repeat in our heads long after we read them, and this series has been that for me. Receiving final answers into Leo & Gigi's lives alongside watching the youngest generation find love through adversity, has been a form of closure I didn't know I needed. If you enjoyed a Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole, I think you'll enjoy this story too (no it's not the same concept but it evoked the same emotions in me).

Thank you again to Author LeAnne August for listening to me rave about each of her books and providing me with an ARC each time. I'm so excited that this story is now out in the world and you all can head to KU and read the full series ❄

I love a good snowed in story! I also found the mystery about their grandparents history to be really interesting! I enjoyed the writing and the flow of the book.

Unfortunately, for me personally, it took me awhile to warm up to both Nico and Rosie. By the time I started to actually like them, I just felt like it was kind of too late. The romance aspect just didn't grab me in this one!

I received this eARC in exchange for my review and honest opinion, thank you to Leanne for giving me this opportunity!

Lemme tell you, the enemies to lovers were enemy-ing and they were lover-ing. This was full of sexual tension, attitude, grief, friendship, and so many small moments that made me fall in love with Nico and Rosie. A cozy small town read that was a perfect (spicy 🌶️) start to my holiday break! I always love a sassy AF FMC who’s guard begins to fall piece by piece as she spends more time with the MMC ❤️

I have been waiting for THIS book since July!! Best Part of Me epilogue left me hanging long enough! 😅 Leanne did not disappoint me! It was well worth the wait! The amount of sexüal tension, banter, care, and love that’s in here was chefs kiss. The spice 🥵 good looorrddtttt that compass scene thoooo!!!! 🫠 I became undone.

Our tough girl Rosie believes she’s now owner of her grandmothers family cabin until our dirty talking cowboy, Nico, comes all the way here to Maple Ridge, Co from Texas to assume his ownership over it because the cabin also belonged to his grandfather. Huh? Yeah, I know lol so make sure to read Come Back to Me first and then read this.

Rosie is truly a gem and sweet but she is tough and feisty. She pushes every single button on Nico and more! 😂 She’s amazed at how solid Nico remains through it all, something she’s not used to. When they get snowed in/stuck at the cabin together, they can’t deny what’s clearly between them. Within a few days, they come across letters between their grandparents and learn their history. Things begin to make sense and that’s when things truly shift between Rosie and Nico. The real and only questions here are, what will they do with the information they just found out and how will they move forward? Will they repeat their grandparents mistakes or actually learn from them?

I whole heartedly enjoyed all 3 books in the Maple Ridge series. I am fully invested in all of these characters lives. Leanne, I👏🏽AM👏🏽READY👏🏽FOR👏🏽 JONES👏🏽STORY! 📑✍️ let’s gooo 🫶🏽

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁: Dual POV, Enemies to Lovers, Small Town, Snowed-In, Forced Proximity, Found Family, Holiday Cabin Traditions, Handwritten Letters, They take care of each other, Dirty Talking Cowboy
𝗧𝗪𝘀: Grief, Loss of a loved one, Anxiety

Whew!! This did not disappoint 🫠 There were so many aspects that I loved - the handwritten letters, the vulnerability we get from the MMC and especially the found family! I never knew I needed the gang so much since we didn’t get to know them in Best Part of Me, but I absolutely adore them; you could feel the genuine friendship of the group and the ease of their company. LeAnne, you probably already anticipate us begging for Jones’ story 🫣🤭

Nico and Rosie’s chemistry was friggin lava hot 🥵🔥 OMG, the banter, the innuendos, the spice - it was perfect. I loved that LeAnne gave us a very vulnerable MMC, it will definitely tug the little heartstrings. Rosie is such a firecracker and I love her independence, strength, and fierce loyalty. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind or doesn’t cower when it comes to her sexuality. Our MCs relationships with their siblings / friends were great to see - the texts were hilarious! LeAnne definitely gave us just a tad enough to get curious about these characters and want to know more about their stories. The representation of grief, loss, anxiety was translated so well that you feel every emotion.

The love story between Nico’s grandfather and Rosie’s grandmother is expanded on Come Back to Me, a novella if you wanted to get more history. It’s achingly sad and beautiful and the handwritten letters featured in this book was enough to get a grasp of how their lives came to be. 🩵

I love how two couples stories are so tied together that you couldn’t help but want a HEA. 🩵

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Tropes to look out for:
- Enemies to Lovers
- Cowboy
- Holiday Romance
- MH Rep
- Forced Proximity
- Handwritten Letters

Although this is not the authors debut release, it is my maiden read and I'll definitely be back for more! This book ticked a lot of boxes for me when it was first announced and it didn't let me down.

We follow Nico and Rosie who inherit a cabin from each of their grandparents; they have never met before and cannot understand how this cabin came to be in both of their hands. They are both fiery characters and instantly clash, neither of them wanting to share the cabin and give up something dear to their respective grandparent. They have to come up with a solution and along the way they miiiiiiight just get snowed in and stuck in the cabin by themselves... what could possibly happen?

I loved how Nico was written. Stubborn, fiery, independent but also extremely vulnerable. Rosie is real hoot; she's fierce, strong, loyal and she knows how to push his buttons. The subsequent banter and chemistry between these two is truly wonderful. Gird your loins for some SPICY spice; Nico has a dirty dirty mouth.

My favourite part of this book? The handwritten letters between their grandparents and both Nico and Rosie piecing together that love story. I will definitely be digging out the novella written about them because the letters in this book made me SO emotionally invested in their story.

Thanks so much to LeAnne August for letting me read this story ahead of release. You have a life-long reader of your writing in me. ❤️

If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I’m a huge LeAnne August fan, and this book solidified that stance tenfold. The Maple Ridge books have to be my new favorite small-town romance series - I just love everyone in the cabin crew. I fell in love with Leo and Giana’s narrative with August’s debut novella Come Back to Me, and this book expanded on that story while also providing yet another heartwarming romance and HEA. I loved watching the cabin and the history between Leo and Giana bring this book’s MCs, Rosie and Nico, together and help them each overcome their own grief and inner turmoil. Rosie is headstrong, caring and independent. Nico is loyal, respectful and lovable. Their banter and chemistry is off the charts and makes for a blush-worthy read. I honestly can’t get enough of the friendship, romance, heartbreak and camaraderie within this little group in Maple Ridge - and I am so ready to hear more from Jones. This is the perfect way to ring in the New Year! ❄️

Stuck With Me by LeAnne August

Thank you, LeAnne for the opportunity to read this ARC! This book was just the book I needed to close out 2023. It takes place in between Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve, so I loved that I could actually read it during that specific timeline (helped with the “I’m sad it’s not Christmas anymore” feeling.) Overall, I really loved this book, I connected to the characters through their grief, and I loved Rosie & Nico’s love story.

In this book you follow Rosie & Nico, strangers who end up inheriting the same cabin from their grandparents (Rosie’s grandma & Nico’s grandpa). They are instant enemies and sharing the cabin is not in their plans, so they have to come up with an agreement about the cabin by the new year.

A snow storm leaves them stuck in the cabin where their connection continues to heat up. Let me tell you the slow burn, banter/tension between these two is almost too hot to handle. 🔥 while snowed in they discover answers to their questions about their grandparents connection to each other through a series of letters.

Both stubborn, independent, & confident main characters also come to realize they don’t have to walk their grief journeys alone and it’s okay to feel grief and work through those feelings.

First, in order to really get an understanding and in all the feels of Rosie and Nico’s dynamics, you will want to read the novella that started it all, Ⲥⲟⲙⲉ Ⲃⲁⲥⲕ ⲧⲟ Ⲙⲉ. There, you will meet Giana and Leo, at the beginning of their own heartbreaking love story.

After a terrible loss to both Rosie and Nico, these two find themselves fighting over ownership of a cabin. They bring so much steam and banter, y’all!! 😮‍💨 I could not get enough of this feisty coffee shop owner and the Italian Texas cowboy. 😈

Snowed in, over Christmas and New Year’s, they find a way to break that tension 😋 and dive into family secrets they are struggling to understand.

I am LOVING this series and all things Maple Ridge. This is the perfect week to pick up this book as it takes place during this time!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m also eager for some Jones and Mia content!!!

LeAnne is honestly one of the sweetest authors that I get to interact with, so I was super excited to get this arc! Rosalie (or as her friends call her ‘Rosie’) is a literal spitfire. She is such a fun character. She’s got all the sass, quick remarks, and spicy comments. She’s dealing with a lot of grief from her grandmother passing. Per the usual holiday tradition, she goes to her grandmothers cabin hoping to settle some of her grief. Nico is the swooniest of foul mouth cowboys. He showed up to Maple Ridge from his ranch in Texas wanting to find out about his grandfather’s secrets, and they all point to the same cabin. This book gives a Letters to Juliet type vibe because they try to jointly discover the past and how their grandparents were intertwined. Kicked? They get snowed in before Rosie’s friends get there. I loved this little spin on both tropes. It was fun and spicyyyy. I enjoyed the spice and the banter. The book was a total enemies with benefits for a while and more of a slow burn in regards to romantic feelings.

LeAnne absolutely killed this release!! I loved The Best Part of Me (which if you haven't read I highly recommend) and so I was super excited to be back in Maple Ridge! I could NOT put this down..I fell instantly in love with Nico and Rosie!

Nico Moretti came to Maple Ridge to get his grandfather's cabin but little did he know that Rosie Milano was also left the cabin by her grandmother. The two don't hit it off and are at each other's throats trying to come to a decision to benefit the both of them.

They come to one agreement that they will make a decision on New Years Day but without each other's knowledge they go to the cabin for Christmas. They become snowed in together and even though they hate each other they can't deny the steaming tension between the two of them.

This book had EVERYTHING. I was laughing my ass off with Cammie and Rosie's conversations. Nico was the dirty talking cowboy from Texas that had me absolutely swooning. LeAnne also touched on mental health that both of the main characters dealt with. It was a tear-jerking to see Nico become vulnerable with Rosie. They put their grudge aside and were there for one another.

I really loved this book and it immediately became one of my tops of 2023. I can't wait to see what LeAnne has in store for the future with her writing! Such a great writer who gives you all the happy endings!

After reading Best Part of Me, I was so keen for Rosie’s story as she was one of my favourite side characters. This had great enemies to lovers vibes with witty banter and some seriously hot chemistry and tension.

𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀: enemies to lovers, forced proximity, holiday vibes, snowed in, dirty talking cowboy, anxiety rep, handwritten letters.

Rosie is confident, independent and full of sass. She’s experienced so much loss in her life so keeps her circle small and walls high. But when she meets Nico she can’t deny the attraction between them despite hating him for trying to take her grandmothers cabin, and her carefully crafted walls start crumbling.

Nico is a cowboy from Texas looking for answers about his grandfather’s life. He’s completely out of his element in snowy Maple Ridge and the last thing he expects is Rosie, or the feelings she stirs in him. Now snowed in with her at the cabin they need to come up with an agreement that suits them both but what happens when they can no longer fight the chemistry between them?

I loved the connection they formed in such a short time, they had both been through similar loss and understood each other and the grief they’re still experiencing. I loved how open and honest Nico was about his anxiety struggles, and the way Rosie supported and helped him through his episodes was beautiful.

They were so sweet together, I found myself wishing we got more of them together as a lot of it was spent with them in denial and sparring with one another. It felt a little rushed in the end with some questions left unanswered.

“Whatever my Kit-Kat wants”

Oh Rosie and Nico! How happy my heart is to have started my new year with these two! If you haven’t been to Leanne’s Maple Ridge yet, this is book 3 in her series, but can absolutely be read as a stand-alone! It is an enemies to lovers/second chance romance and does NOT disappoint!!

Whiskey and Kit Kats! Two things I’m left craving after reading this amazing book, besides of course wanting to spend the rest of my life in THE cabin in Maple Ridge with Cammie and Rosie as my BFFs!!

This story is so much more than romance though!! There is an intense amount of emotion, especially grief as these two find something that connects them to the past they so desperately need to hear/read for themselves. And let’s not forget the amazing friendships, and the way everyone lets Nico in to their circle so effortlessly.

Sparklers and BJs! This book is a beautiful/hopeful romance, with TONS of banter, but also filthy and dirty and seriously spicy! 🤭🤭🤭

I will NEVER look at a compass the same again! 😮‍💨

I’ve been waiting for this story since the ending of Best Part of Me!! When Rosie’s grandmother passes away, she assumes the family mountain cabin will now be hers. But when Nico shows up all the way from Texas claiming his recently deceased grandfather owned half of it as well, these two are quick enemies.

Rosie is feisty and fiery and pushes every button she can with Nico. She’s definitely not used to have someone who can go toe to toe with her, but Nico does. When they get snowed in at the cabin, they can’t deny the spark between them. Also over the course of the week, the two learn the true history between their grandparents, and that is what really changes everything between them. The question is, will these two repeat the same mistakes or learn from them?

The banter, the friendships, the spice - everything was so good! Really enjoying this series and I’m dying for Mia to get her butt back to Maple Ridge so we can get a story with her and Jones next!

4.25⭐️ Nico can steal my cabin any day! Rosie is still reeling from the loss of Gigi when Nico shows up ready to reclaim what his grandfather left him. They agree to meet in order to figure out what to do with a cabin they both want to keep to find their own answers. Nothing like starting out as enemies to really up the tension!

Rosie is feisty, independent, and confident. Nico has never met anyone like her who lives her life on her own terms, and has such a big heart even though she’s afraid to share it. Nico can’t understand how his grandfather fits into the picture, and Rosie is the only one standing in the way of his answers. As they start discovering the truth of the past together, both their walls also start to crumble and they can’t resist the attraction between them.

The flirting between these two is *chef’s kiss*🤌🏻 They are so perfect for each other and I loved watching them slowly give in. They were just the right amount of sweet and spicy to make me not able to put this down! I wish I could read more!

“How can two people who only met a few days ago feel this strong of a connection that has the potential of lasting?”

Words cannot express how much I loved and enjoyed Stuck With Me. I am blown away by how amazing Rosie and Nico's story was. I couldn't put it down and was left wanting more. Not only did I enjoy their story, I loved the story between their grandparents. The support from the secondary characters was heartwarming.

This was an emotional read and my heart felt for both Rosie and Nico as they were grieving and finding out secrets from the past. Nico, the dirty mouthed cowboy and Rosie, who could hold her own against him bantered off the charts. The foreplay was HOT!

Thank you LeAnne August for the ARC. I cannot wait to read the epilogue. I am hoping for a story from Jones, especially after the little insight we gained on him.  Overall fantastic read and so well written! I would highly recommend adding to your TBR and grab a copy beginning December 28th!

When Nico shows up to fight for Rosie’s cabin, the pair can’t help but hate each other after the people they loved kept such a big secret from them. What they don’t expect is the immediate flare of chemistry between them, so when they get snowed in at the cabin together they try to fight it until coming to the conclusion that one time can’t hurt and will get it out of their systems.

Rosie is sassy and smart making the banter between her and Nico laugh out loud worthy. Nico is steadfast and strong with a dirty mouth that could melt a snowfort. When they are together you learn about loss, grief, anxiety and Leanne weaves a story of finding truth, acceptance and family.

The second book in the Maple Ridge series is out in the wild and available on KU! This series is unique in that there’s a prequel that gives deep rooted background that, in my opinion, is integral to this book. Reading the prequel followed by the two books in order also helps to build familiarity with Maple Ridge and some of the reoccurring characters. So. Binge the whole series (so far) for full enjoyment!

We first meet Rosie in book 1 and she’s introduced as a bad ass independent woman that doesn’t need a man. She’s extremely close to her grandmother that has recently passed. With the passing she learns that the favorite place that she and her grandmother shared doesn’t belong solely to her family. Turns out that there’s a back story and the cabin that she’s made so many memories at is actually now co-owned by someone that’s essentially a stranger to her. And she’s convinced that he is hell bent on taking her favorite place away.
Nico Moretti is a Texas cowboy whose grandfather recently passed and is desperate for answers on the surprise cabin that he now shares with Rosie in Maple Ridge. When he shows up earlier than planned in MR the duo end up snowed in at the mountain cabin. While the hatred seems mutual so does the sexual tension and chemistry. To pass some time they decide to get it out of their systems and let’s just say that the cowboy does not disappoint the lady! The angst and the build up leading to their release as well as the banter and antics following will have you begging them for another round!
As the days pass and they remain snowed in the duo embarks on a journey to get to know each other and learns more about their grandparents’ journey than they ever expected to find out.
Thank you so much to @leanne for the opportunity to read and review this ARC. I loved being able to return to Maple Ridge and get to know some new characters as well as get more glimpses into prior characters!

If you love enemies to lovers, forced proximity and snowed in vibes, then this book is for you.

Nico is a dirty talking cowboy from Texas just trying to figure out why his grandfather dumped his entire savings into this small cabin

Rosie is a stubborn, strong headed sassy FMC and I’m obsessed with her. She is not a fan that Mr. Cabin Stealer is here trying to take or make her share the cabin her grandmother left for her after she passed.

The moment Nico and Rosie meet in the cafe there is a layer of THICK chemistry between the two. The banter from that moment on is impeccable. Also, I love a man that gives the FMC a nickname immediately 🫠

***I highly recommend reading Come Back to Me by Leanne August which is a novella with the background story with information of Rosie’s grandmother and Nico’s grandfather***

Thank you for this ARC Leanne!!
4.5⭐️
I loved this story and getting to see more into Gigi’s love story as well! This was such a well written, short, steamy enemies to snowed in at the cabin lovers! I loved the raw emotions and connections that Nico & Rosie went through as they discovered pieces of their grandparents together!

It was so cute how it tied together at the end to say that we were doing things different than their grandparents! I look forward to reading Jones and Mia’s story because there is so much to unpack with that!!

Thank you LeAnne for the early access of this incredible love story! I’ve literally been waiting for this book since I read Best Part of Me.

I’m in LOVEEEEE! The chemistry between the main characters is 😍 and who doesn’t dream of being snowed in with a hot cowboy? The banter between Rosie and Nico was enough to make me sweat 😅

This was such a cozy read with dual POV and just the right amount of winter spice!

I SWOOONED at the handwritten letters. Ugh I’m a sucker for an old school romance.

Overall, literally a great read! I would give this more stars if I could ❤️

5⭐️/ 3.5🌶️
Nico is a smart mouth dirty talking cowboy from Texas that has just learned that his grandfather threw all of his life savings into a cabin.

Rosie a strong willed sassy woman who is not afraid to stand her ground. Especially when she finds out that Mr.Cabin stealer is here to take her traditions and cabin away from her.. or so he thinks.

The banter between the two of them from beginning to end is amazing. If you enjoy:forced proximity, enemies to lovers this book is definitely for you🩵

Stuck with Me by Leanne August

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Enemies to lovers is always one of my favorite tropes and this one didn’t disappoint! The “hatred” these two have for each other is so good to experience! The FALL was so hard that tear’s definitely came to my eyes.

You also get the ending of what happened to Leo and Gigi from “Come Back to Me”. That was by far my favorite in this series and with this one coming into a very close second.

I can’t wait for Jones and Mia’s story. Second chance romance is another one of my favorites!

4.5/5 Stars! 3.6/5 🌶️ I enjoyed this! I was rooting for the characters from the beginning. The plot was cute, and believable that it could happen. It had a lot of heavy topics such as death of a loved one, and miscarriage, but handled them with care! I really enjoyed this.

Spoiler ahead:

the only thing I don’t understand is the use of the compass. If it’s so special why did they do that?

Thank you for this arc!

This book was addicting and I just need more of Nico and Rosie! I need more Leanne August
Nico and Rosie are the biggest fans of each other, they hate each other actually, but the sexual tension is giving that hatred a run for its money, what could make it better/worse? Getting snowed in at a secluded cabin of course!
This book was so much fun, I urge you to read it! And the other two in this series as well! All on KU and available in paperback as Well! Run! You won’t regret it!

Absolutely loved it! Although Rosie was pissing me off towards the end about why she couldn’t be with Nico and why she isn’t a relationship type of girl. But the ending was amazing. And I’m looking forward for the next book. This whole series was phenomenal and well written. The spice well let’s just say it was spicing. I love me a good enemies to lovers and Leanne did a very good job building the sexual tension between Rosie and Nico. As well as their hatred and annoyance towards each other.
