This story is a continuation of the previous ones. So it would be advisable to read them in order , starting from Taming the Office Orc . (it will give you a better understanding of the world Cassie and the boys live in.)

Cassie is learning more about herself. I love the surprises and twists associated with her. I love that she is starting to trust the boys more. Especially Lincoln. She is determined to get her mother's grimoire pages back and goes to dangerous extremes to do this. (with the help of Irene) She is smart and very good at reading Brad and Lincoln.

Lincoln was a surprise . We get to see how he thinks and what he does for punishment to Cassie. He even gets punished. Although I admit he did deserve it for what he did.

Brad of course is there to support Cassie. He, to me ,is her anchor. Helping with what ever he can.

Olivia, Tom and Summer make an appearance , after being called in to help with a very volatile situation. Action through out. Well written. Everything seems to come together nicely. So I'll leave it as a HFN. They have more adventures ahead of them. Spicy, spicy steam to the romance.

I can't wait for the next adventure.

This book is a continuation of Tangle With The Mages, and I definitely recommend new readers to read that one before diving into this one for context. I’ll be honest, I didn’t really read the summary before jumping feet first into the book, and I’m so glad Cassia’s story isn’t over yet!

My review for TWTM consisted of wanting more BDSM/spice, and for the book itself to be longer. More on this below.

Spice level is definitely a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️ and I really enjoyed it, more so than TWTM (although both are great!). There’s more vine (rope) play, MFM, MF and wherever you can fit Irene— for people who haven’t read the last book, that’s Lincoln and Brad’s beloved sentient plant 🪴. Getting to see a glimpse inside Lincoln’s depraved brain really did something to me. Especially towards the end - no spoilers, but the dusting of femdom has me “🥵” if you know what I mean.

Let’s talk about the length. This book made me realize that it takes a special person to be able to have a consistent plot, hot/lusty scenes AND just over 100 pages? It might seem a lot to some people, so if you prefer 200+ page books and feel lost with anything less than, I still say give it a shot because it’s a damn good book.

Cassia, the female witch lead, is feeling conflicted. Her magic still isn’t doing what it’s supposed to, even when Brad, one of the male mage leads, “assists” her. She’s also distressed because Lincoln, the other male mage lead, has pulled away from her and is seeing another witch.

Then Cassia’s old friend from her ex-coven suggests he’s now in charge and could return pages stolen from her mother’s grimoire to her. Brad and Lincoln don’t trust him at all and they are all keeping secrets from each other. Can they find a way to work together before the situation falls entirely apart?

This novella is tri POV, well written and edited, and an erotic contemporary fantasy ménage romance that continues the story commenced in Tangle with the Mages. I enjoyed seeing Cassia grow into her magic and her confidence. I enjoyed seeing Lincoln’s personal development. I enjoyed Brad’s confidence in their relationship and that they would be successful long term. I enjoyed the intimate scenes and the reciprocal nature of them.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

As others have said, this is the 3rd work in the series (4th if you count the prequel novella), and don't jump in here.

Cassie left things rather hanging with Lincoln at the end of the previous book and that was not a good idea. Basically lack of communication is festering. Everyone is unhappy, including Irene. And when your magical sentient vine is unhappy, that is not great.

The story evolves well, in plot, in character growth, in sex, in kink. Vine bondage is great -- especially when the vine can add thorns when desired (at least by the plant). The antagonists are suitably antagonistic.

Cassie's magical growth at the end is quite cool.

As others have noted, yeah, Cassie is impulsive. In a different book, that impulsiveness would not have worked out for her.

Anyways, I am looking forward to the next book.

I read the fourth one, then the first… I must have enjoyed them, because I was very happy to be gifted this one!

I was very confused for the first couple of chapters, and tempted to decrease the rating, but I realized that I missed a book, so that's on me! Other than that, it was a really good book! A little different than the others in the series (except for the second, I imagine), as there was substantially less focus on the Orcs. I wasn't sure how they were even going to tie in, to be perfectly honest. But they did, and everything came into focus! I'm going to start reading "Mated to the Sapphic Orc" next, and then have to go back for the second one…

This series is definitely worth the time!

Great follow up. I really liked that Lincoln and Cassia struggled to work out their dynamic. They both wanted one another but refused to let go enough to be vulnerable.

I loved where it was going but it felt a bit short. This story was begging for a witch sandwich and I was disappointed that it didn't happen. The rest really was great though. I am not usually one for series where there are so many tie ins but this one does it well. If you have read the prior books you will get important pieces of the story from book 1 being added and some questions answered. The end definitely feels like a HFN and this relationship is by far the one I am most invested in so I hope to see more of them in a big way.

This book starts off from the previous book so I would recommend that you read the first two books in thr series before starting this one as this book pulls all of the characters together and to follow this story properly you need that context.
Cassie is back with Brad and Lincoln. This time you got to see into their minds more. It was fun to read about their likes and dislikes. A dew things were eyeopening but, I won’t spoil the surprise!
This was a great book and was very well written. There was no unnecessary prose and the story was so streamlined and fluid.

I have really liked these novellas, BUT, Cassia makes me want to give up on these books. She makes bad choice after bad choice. She’s given information, and instead of acting on that information she makes the choice to ignore it and do things alone with bad dudes and no help.

The following two books (that I will read) are super short <50pages each. I'm interested in how the author is able to wrap up the over arching drama.

Once again the book is noted as an MMF it is at best a MFM and rather conservatively.

Must read. OMG 😱 it was a mind blowing moment. It was a page turner and the suspense was intense. It was a quick read. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t put it down. There were many twists and turns between these characters. Cassa and Lincoln temptation was off the charts. The forbidden fruit of pleasure and romance. I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed.

Thank you to BookSirens and the publisher for this arc.

I have read the previous seasonal spice stories. This one did not live up to my expectations. I’m not sure what it was, but I just could not get into the storyline. I felt like things were a bit all over the place, it felt rushed, and it just didn’t feel cohesive for me.
I do still plan to read the next two books that I have arcs for, in hopes of a redemption.

An okay read. This book had all the elements of a potentially great story but the execution made it very lackluster and colourless. It was just flat and dull with no true emotional climax. It was just okay and I expected it to be more than that.

It’s still an enjoyable read but I just expected the story to be more. I just felt that it was lacking. I still love the characters especially Irene.

The spice was still good. 🌶️🌶️🌶️

I just wished it could’ve been longer per book so the author has a chance to delve deeper into the story and characters.

Cassie had not told Brad nor Lincoln that she still had Irene in her head, not that she kept passing out Lincoln did not believe that Cassie loved him only loving Brad. Something was going on with the Orcs and They needed to work together to solve the problem. Then the Orcs joined forces with her old coven. What are they up to?

The story continues from the first book a few months later. You have three very broken people who must learn to trust and to communicate if they want their relationship to work. Add in a very sassy plant, orcs, and a greedy witch. An interesting read.

I am so enjoying this series of books and although the book could be seem to be read as stand alone much more exciting and fun if you know the background to this threesome.
Great imagination, fun, great erotica as a witch finds herself connected in all kinds of ways to two mage brothers who also happen to be her next door neighbours. I certainly would not mind living next door to these two sexy men.
There is a nice background story going on and enjoy that other characters come into the story to keep the overall storyline of the bigger picture of supernatural adventures living among the 'humans'.
Great characters, steamy sex scenes, humour and magic, a lovely mix to keep you warm through the day and night.

It's a good continuation, I just wish it was longer and they delved into the characters a bit more. Ended up feeling a little flat, but still a decent read

Cassia really comes into her own in this book. I love the character growth. I'm definitely going to keep reading these books as they come out because I love the orc, witch, mages story and how they all help each other.

Spicy and sweet. A short read that was easy to follow. Characters really built up the story and brought the whole thing together.
