USA Today Bestselling Author Carolyn Ridder Aspenson is back with another hilarious and fun Lily Sprayberry Cozy Mystery, and this time, there's a battle between besties, but not the ones you'd think!
LILY SPRAYBERRY SELLS HOMES AND SOLVES CRIMES.
As a Bramblett County realtor, my job is to sell homes and make my clients happy. But lately, it seems like dead bodies just keep popping up in my path - and I can't resist the urge to investigate.
Despite my promise to stay out of my town sheriff husband's investigations, I can't help but get involved when my best friend and business partner, Belle Pyott, and I stumble upon a murder while trying to help a person in need.
Determined to solve the case on the down low, if possible, I embark on a little amateur sleuthing - much to his chagrin. But as the investigation heats up, I find myself in the middle of a Hatfield and McCoy-sized feud between two of my older and quirky friends, Henrietta, and Bonnie.
Every resident of my quaint small-town knows the feud could end up a full-blown war, and they can’t help but gather at Millie’s the town’s spot for gossip.
Refereeing their battle is the least of my worries, however, as the killer is on the loose and I'm off my game. If I'm not careful, I could end up losing someone I love.
Will I crack the case and bring the killer to justice, or will my amateur sleuthing put me in harm's way? Only time will tell.
With twists and turns at every corner, this cozy mystery will keep you guessing until the very end.

Foreclosure Fatality by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson was another fun addition to the Lily Sprayberry Realtor series.
Lily has her hands full in this one. Not only does she find another dead body but Henrietta and Bonnie are feuding which affects everyone who lives in Bramblett County. This was a complicated mystery with few suspects, plenty of twists and lots of humor. I do love Henrietta and Bonnie and their feud was hilarious.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. All of the above opinions are my own.
This is the best visit with Lily yet! She and Belle are on their way to meet a potential client when they find the client dead and once again Lily gets drawn into investigating even though her hubby, the local sheriff, insists that she stay out of it! Meanwhile trouble is brewing between the elderly ladies of town due to a rift that might tear the entire town apart! As usual multiple storylines are woven together to make one cohesive and entertaining plot! The characters are well fleshed out and their personalities distinct and robust. I absolutely love this series as it never fails to entertain and give me the giggles!
The characters were phenomenal. I am a huge fan of the Lily Sprayberry Realtor series and it's one of my all time favorite mystery/murder series!! Lily is such a fantastic character. I love her personality and spunk. I also really love trying to figure out how killed who along with Lily as she tracks down the killers and the clues.
The story-line was phenomenal. This author has an awesome way of storytelling and this story is no different. I was so convinced that it was one person who was the killer to find out that I was completely wrong. I was completely hooked from beginning to end and I highly recommend it!!
These little cozies just keep getting better. Bless Lily's heart, Henrietta and Bonnie keep stealing the show. I love seeing what these gals are up too. And Belle and Lily are truly just a younger version of Henrietta and Bonnie. minus the boyfriend switching.
Lily keeps promising her husband, the sheriff, that she will stay out these things but then she goes and finds her potential client’s son standing over the client's dead body. Seriously, she cannot avoid these things. Foreclosure Fatality is just a bit darker than then previous books and I loved that too.
If you enjoy laugh out loud cozies with grit then this one is for you.
This is another fantastic book in the Lily Sprayberry series by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson. I have grown very fond of the characters in this series, and I just love how their relationships have progressed over time. In this book, Lily is trying desperately to solve the horrible murder of a potential client that Lily and her best friend and business partner, Belle, stumbled onto one day when they went to her home for a scheduled meeting. Lily immediately feels the need to help the victim’s teenage son cope with finding his mother’s body shortly before their arrival, and finds herself right in the middle of a murder investigation once again. However, the humorous big spat between Bonnie and Henrietta really made this book! Bonnie and Henrietta, two elderly women who are best friends and beloved longtime characters of the series, have a huge spat that involves the entire town! Lily dealing with being married to the town’s sheriff combined with her nosiness into his murder investigations adds another twist to this delightful story. This is truly one of my very favorite cozy series, and I can’t wait to read the next one! I was a lucky recipient of an advanced reading copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion and review.
Lily's husband Sheriff Dylan wants her to keep her nose out of his investigations. It isn't her fault if bodies keep cropping up, and to be truthful she is a bit nosey. This time it really is not her fault. She went to meet with a client to see about listing her home and when she arrives the teenage son has just discovered his mother’s body. the woman's body. Lily feels like she might have been able to do something if she had just arrived sooner and is determined to make it up to the boy by solving the case.
This is the first book I have read in this series and I enjoyed the wacky residents of the town and the humor liberally sprinkled throughout the storyline supported by a good, solid mystery. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary. There are plenty of plot twists that kept me guessing until the end and now I want to read the other books in the series.
This is another fun book of this series. Lily is on her way to set up a client's sale when she finds the woman dead. She promises Dylan she won't investigate but circumstances "force" her to be involved. In the meantime, the argument between two friends keep escalating until the friends are forced to take steps. There's also a hint at something wonderful happening for Lily and Dylan at the end of the book which I'm excited to hear about. Where's Book 8, Carolyn?? Lol.
Realtors see it all---and much more than they want at times! Lily Sprayberry is no exception to the rule, especially when she comes to list a house and discovers so much blood instead! Being sickened by the copious blood loss and married to the Sheriff doesn't stop her from investigating. It is apparent that she is an obvious meddler by nature as we watch her try to repair a damaged friendship of two elderly ladies along with her sleuthing. Determined, devious, and discrediting her best friend's conclusions all lead to another fun episode in Lily's exciting life. Full of complex twists, interesting characters. and good southern charm, you won't want to miss reading this fun filled book.
Belle and Lily arrived at the Crowder home for their appointment to discuss putting the Crowder home on the market when Belle noticed that the garage and front door was open but no sight of Alice. Belle thought something was off and before she had the chance to call the police, Alice Crowder’s son Buddy ran screaming out the front door that his mom had been shot. The police thought it was a case of bad timing. Did she walk into a break-in or was it something else? Could Buddy have killed his mother? His father? Or maybe Hank?
In the meantime, during a typical Georgia thunderstorm, lightning struck Henrietta’s home, leaving a gaping hole starting at the roof and stretching down to the ground. Since Henrietta couldn’t stay at her house, Bonnie graciously invited her to stay with her and her grandson, and all went well the first day. The next day, and the several that followed, however, were the start of round two for the Hatfields and McCoys. Henrietta complained Bonnie was a slave driver, and Bonnie argued Henrietta lived like a slob and threw Henrietta out. The bickering went on and on and got so bad that Lily and the group held an intervention for Bonnie and Henrietta. Did it work? Did they kiss and make up?
This was a fantastic read! The interpersonal relationship between the characters were outstanding. Bonnie and Henrietta are hilarious. The plot is interesting and has so many twists and turns that you are kept guessing until the very end. This book is full of humor, loving friendship, mystery and suspense. I highly recommend this book!
Henrietta and Bonnie are feuding and the only sides anyone is taking is against them. The whole town is trying to get them to stop this bickering and it’s up to their gentlemen friends to rein them in. Great funny sub-story to go along with the bigger mystery of who murdered a potential client of Lily and Belle. As always, so many wonderful characters. A great mystery with so many suspects and so many twists and turns. Lots of surprises along the way too. Looking forward to their next adventure.
I quite enjoyed this book, even though I’ve not read any of the previous ones. Just loved the dogs, obviously written by a dog lover! There’s a side issue with two best friends falling out & how everyone tried to get them to be friends again. Hilarious how they did it!
I love this series and this book continues Lily's and her friends' and family's stories. The characters are well written (I can just picture them in my mind) and the mystery is well crafted. I had my suspicions about the identity of the bad guy(s) but wasn't 100% sure until the end. That is the way I like my mysteries, I'm able to solve it but not too early. I can't wait for the next one.
I loved Foreclosure Fatality! This book is so fun and exciting. The plot is interesting and has so many twists that you are kept guessing until the very end. I love the characters. They are witty and entertaining. This book is full of humour, mystery and suspense. I highly recommend this book!
I found this to be an excellent read. I didn't know until the very end who the murderer was. Some books give the ending away, but this one did not, which made following the story much more interesting.
I’d sell more homes if the dead bodies didn’t get in the way. I made a promise, multiple times, actually, to my husband, the Bramblett County Sheriff. I promised I wouldn’t put my life at risk doing his job. But… When I find my potential client’s son standing over her dead body, all bets are off. I just can’t let it go, no matter how hard I try. Truth be told, I’d put myself up against a murderer any day if it kept me from taking sides between Henrietta and Bonnie, besties currently on the outs. Risking my life is one thing, but getting between those two is something no person in their right mind should do. Who am I kidding? I can’t stop myself from trying to help them too. I just hope I come out of this alive.
This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Lily and Dylan are settling into married life and I like how they wear it. This marriage is bringing out the best in both of them.
Lily’s closest circle of friends include her husband/Dylan, faithful canine/Bo, her BFF/Belle, and Belle’s boyfriend/Matthew (who also happens to be Dylan’s best friend). Included in her close circle of friends are six senior citizens that add a healthy dose of comedy and a bit of calamity to the story.
This whodunit was one I won’t soon forget. It really pulled and twisted my heart strings. I must stop writing about it now or I am liable to reveal a spoiler or two and that just won’t do!
Including the novellas, I have finished reading nine books in this series and I rate this story as the overall best. If you enjoy an exceptionally good, well-written whodunit peppered with romance and sprinkled with plenty of comedy on the side, then pick up this book to read today. It was a clean, fun, entertaining, and easy read.
I voluntarily wrote this honest review after the author gifted me with an ARC of the book. The expressed opinions are mine alone.
Another Lily Sprayberry Book absolutely love this series..
Lily and Belle Arrived at Alice's house to talk about putting her house on the market at precisely 12:30..
Only to find the garage opened no car and oddly the Front door different door ajar

Lily's husband the sheriff. Once again has asked her to stay out of the investigation's.. This is not the first investigation she has been asked to stay out of.. but Lily has a way of finding herself involved..
Only trying to help is what she does....
Not so sure about the teenage boys that was at the house when she and Belle arrived.
What with the missing car in the time frame she and her friend are going to go to the junkyard and do some investigation...
I have read several of the books in the series and I have loved each and every one Lily Sprayberry books are my favorite.. Definitely suggest this book along with others in this series 2 everyone I love them... I would give them more stars if I could..
I absolutely love these cozies.. Love each time a new one comes out....
Lily Sprayberry is such a great character. I like how she's there to support and help everyone. She cares and it shows. When she and her BFF arrive to meet with Alice Crowder to see about selling her home, they find her body. Her son is hysterical and begging for help. Lily knows that she needs to give this young man closure. However Lily's husband, Sheriff Dylan Roberts, doesn't like that plan. He loves her and wants to keep her safe. As these two struggle with this issue, I had to smile at the Sheriff's plan. He's smart, but Lily is no pushover. She's determined to get the answers needed to solve the murder. In spite of her husband. I was sure she could solve the crime, though I was wasn't certain that she would be able to settle the feud between Henrietta and Bonnie. These two are a force of nature. I really hoped the town would survive. As usual Carolyn Ridder Aspenson entertained me. The dialogue sparkles with sass and I love the characters. It's fun coming to this small town where people care about each other and there are no secrets. I'm anxious to see what happens with Lily and Dylan.
Sometimes it's best to just call it quits I have slowly come to realize that this series has completely soured me on this author. I'm all for imagination and a good read, I really am. But having worked for 2 full decades with the elderly, I came to revere and respect them. This series makes elderly women seem like irresponsible and immoral bitter hags. I've been around many areas of the world and have never met such an uncouth depiction of elderly in my entire life. It's demoralising and an insult...especially to Southern women in the States. To have the main character and her sidekick always bring up being Southern belles and hoping to emulate these two characters is just more than I am willing to tolerate. Authors, like most people whose work is out there for the general public, influence their readers. I hope younger readers never get it into their heads that this kind of behaviour is acceptable or even okay. In a time where influence is everywhere, keeping a healthy moral compass in a genre that is supposed to be fairly acceptable, I'm letting go of my attachment to this author. Life is much too short to waste it on stories that literally sicken me any more.
A Strong Small Town Murder Mystery Tale with Realtor Lily Sprayberry, New Roberts at its Center - Again
Lily Sprayberry, married to the small town sheriff is in the center of her another murder. This time it wasn't one of her realty clients but it could have been. She has an appointment with the woman who was shot. The son found his mother murdered just as Lily arrives for her appointment. Knowing she's not to be involved in her husband's investigation, she does anyhow. There are more twists to this story than usual. Not every plot is about the investigation either. Some surround the shenanigans of the town's eldest dating couples and the biggest, drag out, knock down fight between old 'besties' that you the townspeople start taking begs on which old biddie is going to come out on top. A typical cozy Southern small town mystery. Northerners need not, best not apply and stay away!
Lily is at it again, finding another dead body, this time in a home that she was listing for sale. Who would want to kill Alice? She can’t help getting involved, although her husband Dylan, Bramblett County Sheriff, does not want her putting herself in harms way…again…as she has done before. Tracking down Alice’s husband and her missing car is only the beginning of the investigation. If you enjoy a small-town mystery, filled with humor and many interesting characters, then this is the mystery for you. I enjoyed the good relationship and interaction between Lily and Dylan as she “helps” him by quietly questioning the people in town. I look forward to the next book in the series to find out what Lily’s news will be. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)
Small town cozy that has two lifelong friends who are different but the same, in a realtor business together. Now Lily is married to the sheriff and Belle dates his deputy. No problems, right? If you don't count the bodies Lily stumbles across in this small town and her insistence on investigating and outshining the sheriff. The other problems are the four senior adults who are thrown in for humor but not my kind. They are kind of annoying to me and only fill space. The sheriff and Matt, his deputy, also are peripheral characters though they could be really interesting. Always a lot of running around the county, having coffee at Millie's, solving the latest disaster for the seniors and puzzling out the mystery of who killed the victim and why. Written with humor and warmth and mysteries to solve.
No spoilers: If you're looking for an entertaining, laugh out loud cozy mystery, you've found your book! Lily and her 'gang' can't seem to help themselves when it comes to finding trouble; they seem to land right in the middle of it! This small-town murder takes place in a wonderfully written story, with well-developed characters that all provide for a satisfying, clean great murder mystery. Although you might do well to read these in order, you really don't have to because the author does a wonderful job bringing the reader up to date enabling the reader to follow along easily. Plenty of laugh out loud moments and twists and turns provide the solid, keep you guessing mystery story every cozy mystery lover is looking for. I absolutely can't wait to read the next in series. I received a complimentary copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Whew! This was the first book that I have read in this series and what a delightful romp through the pages. I had no idea what to expect, so I was just sitting back and totally enjoyed this cozy mystery. Lily is quite the "little detective" despite her husband, Dylan, being the head of the sheriff's department. The characters were everything from awesome and special to weird and quirky. Lots of special sidelines happening throughout. This was definitely a solid 5+ read. I would encourage any person that enjoys cozy mystery to pick this book up! I had several chuckles while enjoying this fun, clesn , and easy to read book.
I received an ARC copy of this book, but this is my voluntary, honest and completely personal review. VICKI FROM WYOMING
This latest edition to the Lily Sprayberry series is the best yet. The mystery of who killed Lily and Belle's potential client is full of twists and keeps you guessing. Lily can't seem to stop herself from sticking her nose in, much to the upset of her husband Dylan, the sheriff. There were points I wanted to shake her, and times I was rooting for her to figure it out first.
If that wasn't enough happening, longtime friends Bonnie and Henrietta have had a falling out. This sucks in the entire town. The resulting chaos and antics are hilarious! These two are probably my favorite characters in this series.
This is another fast paced read in a really fun cozy mystery series. Fans will enjoy it. New readers will quickly be engaged.
Number 7 in the Lily Sprayberry series lives up to the series reputation! Realtors Belle and Lily arrive at the Crowder home for a listing appointment and find Alice Crowder dead! Lily has been married to Sheriff Dylon for two years now and he still hasn’t figured out how to keep her out of his investigations. I love this series, partly because of the great characters and partly due to the chuckles I get from reading all the funny southern sayings! In this one, Bonnie and Henrietta are feuding and their antics are about to drive everyone crazy. Another fun book in the series, which I really enjoy and highly recommend. I am on the author’s review team and write this review voluntarily.
I adore the Lily Sprayberry Mystery Series. Each one satisfies me yet leaves me thirsty for more. In this edition Lily goes to a home that is possibly going on the market. Unfortunately a dead body is in the way. Lily can’t help being involved in this one. With a number os suspects and a few reasons for murder, will Lily or Dylan get this one solved? A feud between Bonnie and Henrietta livens things up. I just love them. There’s some twists and some hijinks to keep us entertained along with a surprise. Put your sleuthing comfy clothes on and see if you can discover the killer before Lily and Dylan. Trust me. You don’t want to miss this one!
Well Lily has some good instincts. Though she doesn't think before she does something and this time it may cost her marriage. Lily likes to do things her own way and if people don't agree she isn't happy. She wants to satisfy her own curiosity and because of that she doesn't think about other people it may affect. Now don't get me wrong she has a nose for finding the truth and her snooping does help just not always in the best way. If you have enjoyed other books in this series you will enjoy this one as well. Lets see how long it takes you to figure out the guilty party.
*I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion*
Lily and her friend/business partner are meeting a client and stumble on a dead client with her teen son standing there in shock. Now Lily has a habit of finding bodies and her husband, the Sheriff is never very happy about it or her desire to investigate and solve the crimes she finds. Add a feud between two of the older ladies in town, a possible auto theft ring and nosy neighbors and you have a fun, sometimes funny, always engrossing story. This is the first Lily Sprayberry I have read because I just discovered this author. You can bet I will be starting from the beginning to catch up! Fun series and I can't wait to read about all the adventures of Lily and company!
