This mystery novel is the third in the No Ordinary Women series. I love these strong, funny, imperfect, middle-aged women. Deese includes more character development than the average mystery and her books are better for it. Her characters seem like people I know. The past-coming-back-to-haunt-us subject matter in Forgotten Spirits makes this her most intriguing novel yet. A real page-turner.

I love this series but the first 50 pages or so of each one are so dang hard to get into. I am looking forward to the next one but I hope it hooks me right away.
