"No, no music, I'm going to make love to you and I need to hear your body when it speaks to me" Ayden Stone TouchStone for Play by Sydney Jamesson

I just finished reading "TouchStone for Play" What a ride !! I loved this book.

Ayden Stone and Elizabeth Parker are meant to be together, an irresistible, course of events have them destined to meet. But the pairing is not an easy one, each has their own Achilles heel. Ayden is rich, powerful, dominant, ruthless and sexy, you aren't sure at first if Ayden is going to be good for Elizabeth. As the story progresses, you come to love and trust Ayden, warts and all. Elizabeth, exquisite, wounded, reserved, hiding behind her schoolmarm exterior, is in actuality, strong, intelligent and resilient.

She see's what neither of them can first admit to or even recognize and fights for the Love they both have been without, both of their lives are changed forever. They grab with both hands, the Love they have been missing in their lives. Ayden unleashes the passion Elizabeth has kept buried. Elizabeth shows Ayden how truly unfulfilled his life has been. Their love story is sweet, steamy and erotic, filled with unexpected twist and turns that left me laughing, crying, longing and hoping they have their happily ever after. The love scenes are tastefully written, hot and descriptive. I loved that Ms. Jamesson incorporated a music playlist that could be listened to while reading, it helped me delve into the characters frame of mind.

There is danger lurking, in the presence of Dan, a man from Elizabeth's haunted past. He is sinister and dark the perfect villain. As I came to chapter 20 the penultimate chapter, I had to put the book down, I was not ready for the cliff hanger. I did not want the story to end.

TouchStone for Play by Sydney Jamesson, is an erotic, intimate, love story, with a backdrop of suspense and danger. I highly recommend this book and I can't wait for Book 2!!

This is my first book by Sydney Jamesson and it definitely won't be my last. TouchStone for Play is a fantastic story of love and loss. This well-written story is filled with a great story-line, characters you can't help but care for, suspense, secrets, drama, passion, destiny, and scorching sex scenes that will leave you in a puddle of lust.

A courtesy copy of this book was given in exchange for an honest review.

Hooked from the Start......A Modern Day Fairy-Tale.......Complete Brilliance!!

I was captivated from the beginning. It keeps you wanting more. I was totally blown away with everything about it. I could not put it down. It was unlike anything I have ever read before. Two sides of one epic story, an alpha playboy who likes to play, and a supernatural twist that blew me away! It is a must read romance with lots of heat, angst and suspense. This story totally had me spell bound. I laughed as well as cried. It was beautifully well written. All I can say is "What a voyage!!!!!". This book made me believe in true love. If you have not read it, you should definitely read it either through Kindle Unlimited or buying it. If you do, you will not be disappointed.

** Please note, this review may contain spoilers **

First off all I would like to thank Sydney's PR team who approached me to ask if I wanted to join their blog tour, of course I'm all for signing up to new things and helping out anyway that I can.

I would also like to thank them for kindly providing me a copy of TSFP to read and review for the tour, coming soon.

Beth (Elizabeth) has a past, one she is running from and hiding from those she comes to love. Something she wants to live on and forget, although its never far from her mind.

I love that Jamesson wrote in x2 alternate POV's. At one point where in there with Beth and what's going on around her, and the next were with another character, Dan, biding his time, although were not sure what his motives are, it gives us the dark, edgy sense, that something foreboding is just waiting to crash out barriers down, and all hell to break loose....it's fantastic

Where Dan is involved within this story, it became gritty. It was a vile storyline running parallel, which managed to evoke astonishment, pain and anguish from the reader, of course the author intended for this to happen....evil woman ;)

Beth is an English teacher who happens to get the sexy Ayden Stone to be a guest speaker for her students one day, little known to Beth, this one encounter will change her life, her feelings and her perspective of men...at this point were not sure how this budding romance between the lovely teacher and the hot tycoon will pan out....but we can wing it...

"What is love? Those who play with it, call it a game. Those who don't have it, call it fantasy. Those who find it, call it destiny."

TSFP is well written and an intense read, never left the reader with a dull moment, and were constantly on the edge of our seat asking, is she? isn't she? or will it? or won't it?

I enjoyed their quick witted dialogue, and felt an immediate connection to both leading characters.

"Where true love burns desire is love's pure flame; It is the reflex of our earthly flame, that takes its meaning from the nobler part, and but translates the language of the heart." Desire by Coleridge

I loved how Ayden made Beth feel within the sex department, I know in the beginning he wasn't privy to the "entire" details of Beth's sordid and pain-engraved past, but he sure knows how to accommodate and handle a delicate flower, such as Beth Parker.

Of course all the feelings and emotions are but an anomaly to Ayden himself, as he's used to getting what he wants, when he wants. He's used to his playboy ways, BUT the minute he see's Miss Parker, all that he knows is thrown out of his private jet.....all he sees now....is her

"Beauty is truth, truth is beauty, - that is all you know on earth and all you need to know."

The idea that Jamesson thought of to use music to set the mood and communicate feelings, between Ayden & Beth, was a genius way! Ayden found it hard to convey how he was feeling and the lyrics of the songs he chose were perfect every time, as for the same with Beth, this way of communication, was effective....I may have to try this one myself.

The sex is HOT, Jamesson is very descriptive in this department and it's beyond tasteful...it's beautifully erotic.

" I feel like a ticking time bomb, permanently charged and ready to explode."

Of course, after being on such a high, we have to wonder what the catch is? What is waiting around the corner for us? And boy do we get it.....as the text that Beth receives.....the shit does hit the fan...

It does end with a cliff hanger and I am more eager than ever to read the next in the series ~ Touchstone For Giving

"I fall from the sky, come crashing down to earth and descend into a black hole of despair, a solitary figure: I'm alone."

I would have liked this more had Ayden remained a submissive regardless that the story was superficial and terribly boring. Notwithstanding, Jamesson is not a bad writer just one who needs more practice and a better editor.

Ayden Stone is a very strong, sexy and intense Character & in one fateful meeting he turns Elizabeth Parker’s world upside down. Beth makes Ayden see the goodness in himself, but they are both each other’s worst nightmare with this relationship; they both feel they are not good enough for one another. Beth’s past is about to catch up to them both; holding my breath to read what happens next. I highly recommend you add Touchstone for Play to your TBR List you won’t regret it.

OMG...Where to start?
I truly don't know what to say.
This book is amazing. With its fairytale feel and its classical structure. The words...oh my, the words. The way this author writes is insane. She has you feeling like you are in the room with these characters completely apart of their world, (A fly on the wall). She captures you immediately and makes you fall in love with these characters, it is so refreshing. Elizabeth or Beth and Ayden How I love you two.
I also love the story within the story this book offers. Twists and turns keep coming and keep you on the edge of your seat. So suspenseful... So perfect.
The end left my mouth wide open...You just can't end a book like that. But this author did and lucky for me the next book is already out so I dove into that immediately.
I give this book - a fireworks display - massive 5. Thanks for such an amazing book.

What a fantastic 5 star read!! I love this story. This book moved me to tears many times, laughter at other times. It touched my heart and soul.

There are so many quotes that are worth repeating. One of my favorites is:"Your lips touched mine, it was as if the curse was lifted, I was free, free to love, free to be loved by you" Another is: "How long can you keep saving me from myself"

This is the story of two individuals who meet each other by chance.Their love was destined in heaven.

Ayden Stone is a millionaire who is a gorgeous, intelligent, controlling playboy. He is dominant, powerful, sexy yet he has a soft vulnerable side. I just wanted to hold him in my arms.

Elizabeth Parker, teacher, a wounded, intelligent woman who hides behind her plain clothes and looks. She is ripe for a man to discover the beauty that lies inside of her. She reminds me of a beautiful flower waiting to be picked.

They help each other to become a better person. There is passion, sex, humor, romantic gestures all rolled into this story. Their love story is very powerful and I was pulled into it. I laughed and cried along with Ayden and Elizabeth.

But not everything is wine and roses for them. There is a dark side to the story that runs parallel to Ayden's and Elizabeth's story. Dan Rizler is a dark, evil person from Elizabeth's past. His character really scared me.

Ms. Jamesson is a wonderful writer. She develops her characters with such detail and emotion.I could picture exactly what they were wearing, the exact location they were at. She brings the characters and scenery to life. Ayden and Elizabeth seem to be real people that the reader can identify with. These characters draw you in and don't let go. I found myself becoming emotionally attached to the book. I can't wait for the second book!!

First things first, I am not an erotic book reader. I like romance and beautiful love stories, but until TouchStone I have never ventured over to the side of erotic. With that being said, I completely fell in love with this story from beginning to end. Next to my own book, I have never read something so deep and visual with character development above and beyond a normal story. Elizabeth is the quiet one who grabs hold of her inner voice and blossoms into this woman who knows herself and the one she loves through and through. She's my favorite kind of heroine - the kind you want to be and can learn from. Ayden is the enigma, who you aren't sure of at first, then maybe are apprehensive about, but you trust Elizabeth's observations of him and soon begin to learn all there is behind him that makes him who he is. You want to know him, cradle him...and do many other things to him by the end of the book, but overall you are wowed by his presence just like Elizabeth is. The antagonist, Dan, is everything a villain should be... scary, creepy, and disturbed. You don't want to read about him but want to know what he's doing and wonder how on earth can you as a reader save the others from him dysfunctional plight.

Overall, I was bowled over by Sydney Jamesson book. I loved it so much, I got to the last page, flipped back and read it again in the same day. Don't read the other, more hyped books of this genre... Read Sydney's... it's incredible!

This story started out with good intentions and I was quite excited to read it. But, I will admit I haven't completed it. I finally gave up at 60%. The story in itself is good, if a little too much sex and far too much love stuff way too soon feel to it. It just wouldn't happen in reality - of course the sex might - but love? After knowing each other barely moments? No. I was intrigued by the darker side of the story which is the only reason I read as far as I did, but in the end I didn't particularly care what had happened in the past, or what might happen in the rest of the trilogy.

The thing that has put me off this book is the continued typographical errors. Many sentences were without full stops, and wrong words were used in places: "physical excursion" should have been "physical exertion", and "recognisance" should have been "reconnaissance"! There were other mistakes too. Call me a grammar nazi but if you want to write a book well, then you need to be hot on your grammar - spelling and using the correct words.

If I were able to finish this book, it would receive three stars for the story plot and the ability to construct a narrative. It receives one star because I wasn't able to finish it because it wasn't written correctly, and turned into a chore to read.

I discovered TouchStone for Play on social media of all places. I questioned the modern day fairy-tale description but decided to try a new author and book. I was not disappointed! Sydney Jamesson swept me away on a romantic journey much like Emily Bronte and Jane Austen carried me away years ago. Her writing is truly exceptional. The characters leap off the page and right into your heart.
Elizabeth Parker is a beautiful, young teacher and hopeFULL romantic. A woman with secrets and a scarred past and seemingly hiding away in her own world of poem and prose. Enter Ayden Stone. A strong, dominant man used to getting his way in the boardroom as well as the bedroom. When these "two worlds collide" sparks fly. Sensual, fun, romantic, HOT sparks!

As with any fairy-tale there must be a villain. Meet, Dan Rizler. A truly nefarious character who shares his own dark past with Beth. A dark man bound by his own evil desires to find and possess Beth Parker.
The reader is drawn into a world of passion, suspense, and a love so pure and deep it can surely be called a fairy-tale: modern day or even a classic. Sydney Jamesson has hooked this reader and I can't wait for more!

The first installment of The Story of Us - Touch Stone for Play was a real pleasure to read. Sydney Jamesson has crafted a beautiful love story between the two main characters. Media mogul Ayden Stone falls for the shy, broken teacher Elizabeth Parker and the two are brought back to life by the scorching passion they soon share. What makes this story really stand out from the other in the genre, however, is the presence of a third character who witnesses the budding romance and has his own agenda toward the lovely miss Parker. Ms Jamesson's writing is flawless and extremely well done. Her choice of words and the images she paints immediately bring the story to life in the reader's mind. The attraction between Ayden and Beth is off the chart and the sex scenes, though numerous, never feel repetitive. I really liked the way the two interact together and how Beth is able to call Ayden's BS. The caracter development, especially when it comes to the creepy Dan Rizzler is awe inspiring. Ms Jamesson has put an attention to every detail and since there are two other novels coming up in this series, I have no doubt that she still has many surprises for her readers along the way.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it is beautifully descriptive and well written. I highlighted like crazy!!!
I could picture every piece of the story in full glorious colour. The characters were brought to life instantly and with so many dimensions
Ayden Stone is the sexy, enigmatic Ceo of A.S.M.I. He has everything money can buy, but you can't buy love and up until he met Elisabeth Parker, he had no desire to.
Their chance meeting at the school where she works as a teacher, sparked something within both of them that neither ever expected to feel.
Elisabeth embraces the feelings and lets herself fall head over heels into the romance and seduction that is Ayden Stone.

"I'm drawn to your gentleness like the sea to the shore. I couldn't stop myself even if I wanted to."

Ayden tries to embrace the feelings but doesn't know how, it is foreign to him. All he knows is that he does not want to let go of this beautiful clever witty lady. To the detriment of the company that he has worked so hard to build.
For once in his life, his company is not the first thing he thinks of when he wakes, his life takes on more meaning and he explores depths of himself that even he didn't know existed.
They are troubled, damaged and have a heap of insecurities. This does not make for an easy flowing relationship. Both of them make mistakes, but what I loved about Ayden and Elisabeth is that they got over it, they apologised, talked it out and moved forward.
Not lingering or brooding for too long and most definitely making the most of the time they have together.

He has never had, or will have a white charger, thats not his style, but he has me and my heart: it sits in the palm of his hand like a pocket watch

Elisabeth is the more level headed of the two. She is meek, passionate, realistic and not afraid to speak her mind.
She has a motherly quality about her, which enables her to put people at ease. She has a kind heart and a sharp intellect.
She also has a tainted past, one that she is running from, one that will eventually find her.

The sex is HOT, descriptive, tasteful and beautifully erotic.
With some erotic novels I have a tendancy to 'skim' the sex scenes is they feel a little duplicated but this was never the case, their dialogue to each other was beautiful and I enjoyed every last bit!
I really love the use of music to set the mood and communicate feelings. Ayden found it hard to convey how he was feeling and the lyrics of the songs he chose were perfect every time.
I searched each song as it was mentioned and approved of each choice, adding them to my catalogue of music. (which i must say is growing as quickly as my TBR!!)
Of course there is always something running alongside the romance which threatens to bring everything tumbling down.
In this case there are a couple of things, many questions and a creeper called Dan who actually makes my skin crawl!

It does end with a cliff hanger and I am chomping at the bit to get to the next in the series. TouchStone for giving - Tentative release end of August.

"To memorable days and unforgettable nights"

This book was brought to my attention of twitter of all places, I wish someone had told me about it sooner!
I had read 50 shades along with the world and although I enjoyed it and it was ground breaking for me as a reader I didn't like the leading lady that much and couldn't identify with her! I know a lot of people felt the same if you are one of them ..GET THIS BOOK NOW :)

Beth the leading lady is a normal women works hard has a past insecure which is what most of us women are! But you like her I mean really like her, I have never read a book and pictured myself as the "lead" EVER but I could of been Beth and I know a lot more of you will think so too. Without giving anything away you can empathize with her past, you want to be her friend you want her to be fabulous and you will not be disappointed.

Now the leading man in this is everything you could ever want he is Grey and Cross mixed together and so much more Ayden Stone is the man of your dreams and the demon of you nightmares,I have found with other books that I have read similar to this I have read that I like the man more than the women or vice versa, Touch Stone I LOVED them both and routed for them both throughout the book.

Now this is where Touch Stone comes into its own and has no need to be compared with others as there is a very real and sinster villian in this book and Sydney brings him to life with her excellent writing skills as well as her descriptions of Dan, you can see him smell him and it scares you.

So you have romance seduction very steamy scenes coupled with suspense thriller and a very hints that only the keen reader will pick up on and you know you will be referring back to them in book 2.

I cannot recommend this book enough I finished it in less than a week while working full time with 3 kids a dog and a hubby (who was slightly neglected)it also renewed y love of music something i have NEVER known a book to do .... you have to read it to understand

Sydney Jameson is a fantastic writer and you will be hearing her name a lot in the future

Its intriguing, characters are likeable....But sometimes their banter is confusing! They start off in the right direction and all of a sudden their breaking up and within minutes they're back in the bedroom!

Elizabeth, on one hand is the level headed innocent character, bringing Ayden the grounding he requires, but she was so frustrating at times! Ayden being the dominant, is a great character but at times I felt his character lost the dominance, but he does regain it again, especially in the hot erotic sex scenes.

There is a dark back ground story playing along this love affair with Ayden and Elizabeth. This helps to give the story line depth, intrigue and darkness.

I've started book 2, but have to admit am skimming through pages!

I'm unable to give a star rating for this novel as I didn't finish it, so can't comment on characterisations and plot.

I believe Ms. Jamesson has a lovely flair in her writing that will serve her well in future efforts, but malapropisms, formal-style and grammatical errors distracted me too often to get to the meat of this particular story. [Especially - in terms of formal style - missing commas in direct address, e.g., "You didn't win Mr. Stone." It is a classic case of "Let's eat Grandma" rather than "Let's eat, Grandma."]

Furthermore, the use of present tense was inappropriate, as the Prologue casts the remainder of the novel as a reminiscence, and it therefore should have been past tense. I understand that present tense is increasingly popular, but its use must make sense. [This did not stop me from finishing, merely something that I thought about while reading.]

I look forward to reading a new edition of this work once it has been edited. Its popularity has me intrigued.

I love this story. I knew from the first page that I needed to put everything else aside to read this story from start to finish. Mr. Stone and Miss Parker have instant chemistry. I want more I cant wait for the story to continue. I thought that London makes a great backdrop for the story. The sex scenes are perfectly written. I like how independent Miss Parker is. She can take care of herself. The characters are well written and come to life. I'm thrilled to recommend this novel. Your in for a great ride. The soundtrack brings back great memories from the past. Very high praise for Sydney Jamesson, thanks for the introductions. This story should be made into a movie.

TouchStone for Play is the first book in the Story of Us Trilogy by Sydney Jamesson. It is a masterfully crafted story that expertly balances love, lust, romance, and suspense. The novel tells the story of an English grammar school teacher Beth Parker and a powerful CEO Ayden Stone. The intense attraction between the two characters is evident right away in the book and carries throughout the story.

Beth is an intelligent, educated, and beautiful woman with a mind of her own. She articulates and communicates through words and through her eclectic collection of music. She is level-headed and mature, which makes her very real and relatable to me. Ayden is a successful CEO of an international media corporation who is self-assured, assertive, and sexy. What I enjoy most about Ayden is how multi-dimensional he is. Throughout the story, we witness both his powerful CEO self as well as a vulnerable man lost and confused at how to approach his relationship with Beth. Ayden Stone expresses his point of view throughout the story and slowly reveals his character. Ayden is not afraid to show his vulnerability when it comes to Beth and his love for her.

Beth and Ayden each has their own past that complicates the development of their relationship. But what’s amazing about the story is watching them help each other resolve and move past their pasts, which often precede or follow hot and steamy sex. The mild BDSM only intensifies the very hot and sexy scenes. But the passion and love they have for each other will melt your heart!

TouchStone for Play also has a villain that always lurks in the dark with a very sinister motive. What special about the novel is how Ms. Jamesson includes this shadowy figure by writing in his POV. She skillfully brings him to life with her descriptive writings and it really chilled my bones when I was reading Dan’s thoughts, which really shows how dangerous and crazy Dan Rizler is.

TouchStone for Play is such a compelling and successful story thanks to Ms. Jamesson’s lyrical and articulate writing. The story is beautifully written, [sex] scenes are descriptively and beautifully crafted, and the plot is intricately laid. I just really enjoy how the story flows and speaks to me. I can SEE the story play out in front of me, which doesn’t happen very often for me. I was swooned by Ayden’s charm right away and Sydney has said Henry Cavill was her inspiration for Ayden Stone, so how can you NOT be?! After reading this book, Ayden Stone will be one of your favorite Book Boyfriends! I promise!

This romance/erotica novel captures my attention right from the start, engages me throughout, and leaves me wanting/needing TouchStone for Giving. I highly recommend this book to everyone! And I definitely suggest listening to Beth and Ayden’s music along while reading. It will enhance your reading experience! It did for me!

1.5 - 2 Stars

Update:

I finished after skimming through a good 35-40% of this book. It was tedious. It got interesting at the very end for about 5 minutes. Sadly, my interest in what might happen is does not outweigh what I had to go through to make it to the end. At least 200 pages could have been cut out of this book, along with everything else I noted below. Glad this book worked out for so many people, but it just doesn't work for me. This is the end of the road of this series for me.

I keep wondering if I am reading the same book as everyone else??? 5 and 4 Stars??? This book is incredibly slow, overly verbose, and the characters are extremely inconsistent. Throw in the Insta love and the characters acting like immature teenagers, and I'm not sure how this is 5 Star for anyone. I don't want to be mean, but it is literally painful trying to get through this, and I can't stop rolling my eyes at the ridiculousness of the characters' behavior, their mood swings and petty fights. Oh, and can we have some plot with the sex?? I mean seriously, it's like, go to work, sex, shopping, sex, eat dinner, sex, ride on a car, sex, for the love of .....we freaking get it. Can we get on to the actual story now?? And the villain, less is more. There's so much of him that it doesn't even feel suspenseful. Too much of his daily life detail. I'm actually bored of reading about the villain. Can he kidnap her already? I would love for something to actually happen in this book.

I hope this book gets better for me. I am really trying to be a good sport and finish this, but the future is uncertain.

Re-read in August. Parked til then

August 2016 - well tried again and I skipped a lot of this story from around 52%. It was extremely long and it really went a bit AWOL.

I love stories about damaged multi-talented billionaires. Ayden Stone was meant to be a playboy who seduces and discards women, seeking sexual pleasure without committment but in this book he parked the bus because that was what really missing. I didnt get it that passion or connection that made him stand out as a dominant playboy.

He meets Elizabeth Parker, high school teacher. She triggers a passionate reaction that is unexplainable. Elizabeth is no expert in the art of seduction and Ayden steers her in her sexual awakening. He is her "heaven on earth, her world. Through memorable days and nights, he becomes her lover and her life"......BUT........!

I had high hope for this one initially. It started well but eventually became an over produced cliched story about neediness, a game really, pretentious and over descriptive going into too much detail about the lip gloss she wore/didn't wear, the Armani suits he wore, his need to constantly f**k her. Lots of sex - but it became meaningless.

I hope book 2 produces something better.

AUGUST 2020 - The author has taken this to 5 books now so no longer a trilogy. Won't be proceeding with the rest of this story.

Memorable moments and unforgettable quotes

I'm a romance/erotica reader but this was unexpected, unpredictable thus entertaining. Unpredictable because you always see some things coming in a romance book, but this one is otherwise. The way this book wraps up a story full of many memorable moments, intimate as much as romantic ones, and because of this as expected (and obviously I was obliged) some great quotes, the kind you highlight with the pink color (okay guilty!), the kind you're never tired to reread and get stuck in your head, like some ineradicable tumor to make my point clear. Fairytale-like stories were never that HOT before... or at all..

Steamy, sexy, sensual, sultry, sizzling...all incredible things S! scenes come to mind...

As the prince, Ayden Stone makes the sexiest most-drooled-over I've never seen or even imagined (okay there might be a close-enough gentleman in mind, the one you'd call "a man of steel"), protecting his princess Elizabeth from any harm, though sometimes him being the cause of that, ironically. Elizabeth, vulnerable looking but probably and seemingly the strongest of them both, so there's more than meets the eye with her I can say. I loved her dominant Beth self no end. Another character that 'quite took my fancy' is, Dan Rizler (even though he was deranged), the wolf here, liked his determination and scary will power to endure anything and being so hopeful for the creepiest of reasons, driven only by one thought, the source of his strength, to snatch the princess from the arms of prince. And who can forget the ever-helpful godmother?, Charlie is seriously the friend everyone wants! always there, helping when needed and doing way more what's expected of her as a friend, being more like a sister.

But what really stayed with me about the book was a concept or promise, which may sum up the whole book, the concept of a destiny, an intrinsicable and unexplicable connection between lives, a collision between worlds. Showing everyone, Ayden and Elizabeth, are possibly and probably connected beyond measure. This connection linked with a love that defies time and space, to me was all part of an amazing eye-popping story, heartwarming and challenging at once. The challenge to see beyond what apparently things might seem. I think and hope I did though there's a lot to be seen.

Loved and enjoyed the soundtracks, especially the moments they reveal themselves from and especially Mr Stone's romanticism (the literary movement notion).

5 stars because I recommend it, recommend you to have this book as a touchstone to an undoubtedly enjoyable read.

I received the book TouchStone for play by Sydney Jamesson for an honest review. This book is romantic with the right amount of erotica and hooked me from the start. I must commend Ms. Jamesson for her character development and descriptions. They were clearly well written. Her writing made perfect images of the characters as well as the scenes in my mind. I was really able to see the story unfold as I read it. Her characters were well liked and easy to relate to. As a teacher, I was immediately able to connect with Elizabeth Parker. I can even see a bit of me in her when it comes to our taste. I loved her music choices on her iPod. I especially loved that she was reading Gabriel's Inferno in the story and it brought the biggest smile to my face. She is as much of a romantic as me.

Just like Elizabeth, I also fell for Mr. P (Mr. Powerful), as she calls Ayden Stone, the gorgeous Alpha male. Believe me, you will love him once you meet him. He is a little piece of heaven. He is powerful, wealthy, handsome and exudes power. Wow, he is a catch!

Charlie, is the concerned overprotective friend of Elizabeth. I liked her fun loving character as well and hope there is more of her in book two.

Yes, I love reading romance stories and as I mentioned this story is a romance with a touch of erotica. It is not an over the top erotica but the love scenes are steamy. This story has many memorable moments that I enjoyed highlighting and rereading. The love story of Elizabeth and Ayden takes them to beautiful places. Along with the full sensory descriptions of the places, the music choices make the story come to life and add a certain depth to the story that captivate the reader.

The memorable moments in the story; "The Titanic Moments" were beautiful and sweet just like the characters. One of my favorites has to be when Ayden tells her his own bedtime story. Ayden has a soft side underneath his megalomaniac shell.

Finally, within the love story, there is another story that takes you back to Elizabeth's past. It unfolds while their love story grows and will definitely be revisited in the next book. I don't want to give any spoilers so you have to read this for yourself.

The ending leaves you longing for the next book. I hope it is out soon! I look forward to the continuation of Elizabeth and Ayden's love story.

Ms. Jamesson, it was a pleasure to read your book. I recommend it to those who love a well written romance.

I gave this book 5 stars!!!

Well what can I say.....em hot, steamy, yummy!!! Yup thats the words I would use to describe this book! And man what a cliffhanger!! But Im getting ahead myself here!
I read this book after seeing a teaser from the author and I prayed that it wasn't the best bit in the book (I have fallen into that trap before!) but I soooooooo wasn't disappointed! Not only was it well written and a great story to follow there were bits that had me turning the pages so fast that I thought my kindle would break! Your not only getting a lovely romance story, you are getting a naughty as I like to call mummy porn story and on top of that there is a bit of edgy thriller/danger story thrown in! All for the price of one book!
The characters were well thought out and connected well with each other and me.
The character of Elizabeth was likeable, strong but weak.....read it you will understand!! And Mr Ayden Stone was.....well he was hot! He was troubled but he was willing to work on it!
I thought it was a great touch having the other story going at the same time as their love story! And as I say the ending....well Im hoping that a lot of writing is going on at the moment as Im not the most patient person when it comes to waiting on a sequel! You all need to read this....you can thank me later!!!

I am really no good at writing reviews for books for fear that I won't be able to convey how much I truly loved something. With that said, TouchStone for play was recommended to me by a friend on Twitter. I downloaded the book the same day.

First off I like when the characters are people I can relate to in one way or another and I like a good story to go along with it. Too many books lately are trying to copy the 50 shades plot line and they all feel like you are reading the same story over and over again.

Beth and Ayden are real characters. They were things about each of them that I loved and things about both of them that I didn't like. Neither of them is perfect; just like you or me. We all have issues whether the rest of the world knows about them or not.

The story doesn't just center on Beth and Ayden. There are other characters involved that add to the story not take away from it.

This book is funny, sexy, hot, and suspenseful. I turned the last page of the book and immediately wanted the rest of the story.

I can not wait for book 2. Sydney, hurry please!!! :)

I read this book in one sitting this morning. I kept thinking I should put it down and do something productive and I couldn't. I bought it a while ago but hesitated to start reading it because a lot of people compared it to Fifty Shades, which is not a ringing endorsement in my world. But I saw enough posts about it on Twitter that I got curious and I'm so glad I gave it a chance. I enjoyed watching Beth and Ayden's relationship develop. The suspense plot is killing me, especially now that Dan the nutter found himself a sidekick. The best way I can sum it up is that I can see why people compared it to Fifty Shades except that I liked Beth and Ayden and it's well written.

I had such high hopes...

Around halfway through, this book lost me. Between the armchair psychiatrist, err English teacher, diagnosing Ayden to him turning into a whiny character after said diagnosis, my interest level tanked.

All the talk about "games" and "winning" got annoying as hell. Beth turned manipulative and I lost all respect for her character.

One of the biggest blunders for me was that all of a sudden, this enormously successful businessman needed Elizabeth to help him give a speech and talk him down from a panic attack? And he can barely function without her? I don't find any of that attractive in an H.

Maybe if I take a break I can continue on with the series...

Touchstone for Play is a book to fall in love with. Sydney Jamesson builds your anticipation and has you eager for the next page turn. As you follow Ayden and Elizabeth's story you feel their story become a part of you, a kind of love that most people can only dream of finding. Ayden Stone the kind of boyfriend every woman will fall in love with and Elizabeth Parker, the leading lady who can inspire. A must read book, one that you wont be able to put down. It will have you excited and eager for the whirlwind to continue and you wanting more.
