Isadora Sartre lives in the wet and rainy state of Washington. There’s nothing she likes more than a steaming hot cup of tea, a warm blanket, and maybe a little smut to read for the night. She dabbles in steamy fantasy and paranormal romance. Her mind has always been a little twisted. She hopes you enjoy the journey and come along for many more!
He has been on the frontline for dealing with all sorts of monsters but something worse is out there. He will need to deal with it all but how will he do it? What is this new threat? How will he get on? See how he will get on I received an advance copy from hidden gems and I want to review
I really wanted to love this book. The premise sounded dark, daring, and deliciously twisted—an elven mage trapped in a dungeon with a powerful succubus, forced to navigate between survival and surrender? Yes, please! But in the end, it just wasn’t quite for me.
The story dives deep into intense themes like BDSM, punishment, humiliation, and body worship, which are executed with bold confidence. The writing style has a unique, almost lyrical rhythm that paints a vivid picture of both Warren’s torment and temptation. If you’re into dark fantasy erotica with strong femdom energy, this might absolutely hit the mark for you.
However, for me, the emotional depth and connection I usually crave in dark fantasy romance or erotica felt a little lacking. I found myself wanting more character development or psychological tension to truly hook me in. It leaned more into the physical and extreme, which will absolutely appeal to a certain crowd—but I was hoping for a little more story to go with the spice.
That said, Sojourn in Perdition has a clear voice and a target audience, and I respect what it was trying to do. It’s intense, unapologetic, and definitely not for the faint of heart.
If you’re into: 💀 Dark fantasy with a heavy erotic edge 🩸 Femdom / succubus dynamics 🖤 No-holds-barred power play Then this might be the short story you’re looking for.
Sadly, I must agree with the other reviewer who said the blurb of this is misleading. It's a dark erotic short about a noncon scenario, not BDSM, and it needed some clear content notes, honestly.
I received an e-ARC of this book. I am leaving a review voluntarily, and it is my honest opinion.
Aside from the story not quite being what it was advertised as, I kind of enjoyed this content-wise but didn’t like the way it was written very much. Some of the spicy vocabulary wasn’t to my taste, and while the tension between the characters was good and the set-up was interesting, the writing style didn’t end up making me feel much about this at all.
This was a wild and twisted read by a new-to-me author. It's definitely an interesting storyline but I would have enjoyed a longer time to get a fuller understanding of what brought Warren to her dungeon. He definitely got dealt a fate worse than death with Madam Nightingale... I'm not sure if we'll get more of these characters as the series continues, but I'll be checking it out to see ;)
Isadora Sartre does it again in this type of book, I was engaged with what was happening. It had that feel that I was looking for and was glad everything worked with the other book that I read. The characters were everything that I was wanted and was glad I read this.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
It is not for me but maybe others would like it. hard to tell with it being too short barely a chapter. I received a free copy of this book via Hidden Gem books and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is where I say the author gives enough information. So, I do not give anything away.
a quick read. Interesting storyline, lots of twists. A new author for me. Glad I had a chance to read this interesting story. Wish it was longer to get more details though.
I'm not sure what I read but I want to know more. It seems like an interesting story and it had me breathing hard so I will be looking for more of this series.
