Jigsaw Jones knows that mysteries are like jigsaw puzzles -- you've got to look at all the pieces to solve the case. So when he and his partner Mila have to search a spooky old attic for clues to solve a big-time mystery, Jigsaw is calm, cool, and collected... sort of.

This is book #19 of the Jigsaw Jones books, (although you don't have to read them in order to understand what happened before.) This (in my opinion) is one of the better ones I've read. I read them to my special needs teen age son and he usually enjoys them. Although this book had more pictures almost one per page which made it more interesting for him as a listener. That was SOOO nice... he was able to follow the story better than the others. (Even my youngest special needs teenage son that usually does not like to be read to stayed in the room and was quite so he listened to the entire book and often giggled or laughed out loud. so would be a great book for a child that may not like to read.)
After reading about 16 of the books in this series I was TOTALLY disappointed in this book! If it had been my first one to read I don't know if I would have continued to read them, well, I probably would have but still. I understand that not all kids are going to be 'well behaved' every day of their lives and that goes for Theodore AKA Jigsaw Jones. But in the beginning of this book he goes into a 'new' neighborhood and meets a new 'client' to help solve a mystery. He is bossy, rude, and down right mean to the new kid he meets. I couldn't believe the totally opposite personality he has in the beginning of this book versus the other books! That alone I nearly stopped reading. But because my sons and I love this series out of most of the other series we're reading I continued. It did turn out nice and the mystery was fun to follow (wasn't one you could automatically figure out) and in the end a sister cares enough about her brothers well being that she wanted to introduce Jigsaw to her brother. But the ending still leaves 'up in the air' of the boys will be friends after all.
The storyline was great and had all the important characters that the others have too but just the change of Jigsaw's personality in this book I wasn't a fan of at all!
This was a fun book to read to my 6 year old son. He enjoyed it, and the mystery was fun to talk about. I recapped each chapter with him after we read it, to ensure that he followed the story developments. This would be a great series for a second or third grader to read on their own as well.
my favorite part was when reginald got the missing stamp from his collection and jigsaw solved the mystery. The worst part was when reginald wasnt happy at all. My favorite character was jigsaw. There was no worst character auryn 10 years old, 2014
