“You only need the vision to be your own guiding light“

The reflections are presented in a distinctive style that makes you search your mental canvas for examples from your own life. The girl struggling for breath is a symbol of experiencing life's helplessness. The poet uses the example of the sun to illustrate how there may be circumstances in life where we feel the constant pressure to satisfy others.

The conversational tone gives the silenced thoughts a voice. When positioned in between the illustrations, the expressive lines bring a fresh viewpoint and dimension. On various levels, the idea of humans seeking help from celestial bodies like the sun and moon for assistance is relatable. The poems appear straightforward at first look, yet they contain layers of profundity. They act as carriers of wisdom to add colour to the monochromatic life.

Through illustrated narratives, entangled thoughts reveal themselves to the conscience. They act as carriers of wisdom to add colour to the monochromatic life.

In "Falling for the Light," themes including the universality of love, teamwork over rivalry, embracing one's individuality, and the straightforward act of being there for one another are explored. There is a divine quality to the story that is built around dialogue between natural elements. Both novice and experienced readers can understand the message because of the poems' straightforward arrangement.

“I accepted each day as it came and made sure I felt beautiful from the inside, no matter what.
That's how magic found its way to me”

One of the most soothing and beautiful books I have read this year is Falling for the Light. Since the time I got the bookmail, I savored this book by reading 2-3 pages every morning and each and every page was worth reading. Each and every line is wonderfully crafted and so comforting!

Falling for the light is a collection of conversations between elements of nature. Its about searching meaning in ordinary things of life. If we focus enough on small and simple things around us, sometimes they can help us clear our minds and we can learn something we forgot, I.e., finding joy in ordinary life! Some of the conversations in this book are about seeking comfort in darkness, seeking answers, building trust and more importantly seeking light. Each conversation is so beautifully crafted and felt intimate that reading it gave me a peaceful and positive mind. And the illustrations with each conversation are so aesthetically pleasing, I loved them!

I loved reading this book so much as I felt a sense of lightness and calmness. The concept is unique and very helpful if your mind is currently filled with many unfocused thoughts. I would definitely recommend this book to every reader and seek the light within you by looking around you!

Review of Falling for the light by Shaymi Shah.

Have you ever contemplated the potential dialogues that might transpire between a leaf and the sun or water and rock?

In today’s fast-paced society, 'Falling for the Light' teaches us the importance of slowing down and identifies the analogies between elements such as Air, Sun, Water, Sun, Moon etc. The language is elegantly straightforward and one can read it effortlessly. Through her latest literary endeavor, Shaymi Shah has weaved magic and penned a heartfelt ode to nature. Within the pages of her book, she delves into a wide spectrum of societal issues and human emotions by orchestrating dialogues among various facets of the natural world. Although the settings are fantastical, they resonate with our experiences, compelling us to ponder and glean countless life lessons cleverly concealed within her analogies. The core message of each analogy hit me up at the correct places. Shaymi has compelled me to see the world in a new light. I wholeheartedly recommend this book, as the reading experience flows seamlessly and promises to enrich your understanding of the world around you.
P.S - loved the illustrations.

The book is like the scent of petrichor that emanates from the earth after the first rainfall. It's beautifully written and enriching to read.
After a heartfelt preface, the author introduces the idea of slow reading, and that's exactly what I did. In today's hyperexcitatory world, it's easier to neglect the small things of life, sights of nature, intensity of conversations, as we just rush through one thing to another. The book soothes this void that gets created in the process. How, just by slowing down for a bit, helps us gain a new perspective and cherish the things we already have.

The style of writing is very relaxed and refreshing. Each poem starts with a conversation between a 'he' and a 'she', between 'teacher' and 'student'. These are really personified conversations between elements of nature like sun-moon, me-shadow, branches-roots, dewdrops-leaves, and the reader, who is invested from the beginning, realizes with a jolt at the very end of the line.
In 10 parts, many discussions between the various characters signify how light (positivity) is indeed a healing force that should be trusted to bring happiness. The idea of finding beauty in the ordinary plays a major part in the book; in fact, it's the very backbone of how the poems are structured. The joy of watching a dewdrop fall, the creation of a rainbow, the rising sun setting out from the horizon, the moon that brightens up the dark sky, the waves that crash on the beach.

By design, each conversation induces moments of pause and reflection in our lives, as we first put ourselves in the shoes of one of the characters, and the lesson becomes more intense after being relatable.

The language is so simple that anyone can understand it easily, and the truths are irrevocable and impactful. It's a great book with gorgeous illustrations that I recommend every reader, irrespective of their age, should pick up.

Falling for the Light is more than just a guide to reclaiming your reading rhythm and finding happiness in little, often-overlooked moments. In the best of ways, Shah masterfully personifies through objects of nature, which brings about in readers the same sense of relief that those whom they love feel as well.

The very first chapter speaks about the concept of slow reading, which resonated deeply. This book is the perfect read to help anyone ease out of a reading slump or simply take things slow without the pressure of "missing out." But it is more than just a guide to reclaiming your reading rhythm—it’s about finding happiness in the small, often overlooked moments. Shah has the poetry skill of personifying human emotions through objects of nature, making the readers feel deep comfort in the presence of the world.

The book encourages a gentle transformation in life: to learn how to stop, breathe, and grow within yourself. Shah points out how the darkness is where so many of us hide because it can so easily be lost in, and in it, we don't look for where we may find ourselves. Amidst all this, huge themes keep coming forth: that is to say, helpful assistance with our fellow humankind and satisfaction with these little moments of life..

If you have followed me lately, you know I'm on a similar journey with my 30-day challenge of reminiscing about finding beauty in little moments and how I found gratitude with them. Falling for the Light fulfills this mindset perfectly, and so I'm really glad to have stumbled upon it at precisely the right time. This book is an invitation to slow down, reflect, and stay joyful in the present, not for the sake of external expectations.

If you are in need of a soothing and reflective read that attunes you to yourself and your world, then read this book.

"Falling for the light" is something I don't even know if I'll be able to express in words.

I have been wanting to Read some good poetry books but haven't came across any such and then this one came, even the title was so Intriguing and I knew I have to read this. And I'm so so glad I did.

It's not like other poems, like on love or heartbreak, it's beyond that. It's something we or I never really paid attention to. The depths, the details author had tried to shown in her poetry and through illustrations were clearly visible.

She wrote about those precious things we see daily but never really wonder anything about them. Sun, moon , plant's, ocean, air, roots and etc.

I'll share one of such with you-

"𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬?"𝘐 𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘦𝘥

"𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘐 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘢𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘯?" 𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘰𝘯

This book isn't just about it, this books shows us which we fail to notice everytime. These beautiful poetry tells it's okay to take break, it's okay to be soft because it can be your strength, it tell us "you are enough, you are your own person". Never belittle yourself, because you might not know but there will be thousands of people trying to be what you are.

This book is something even if you read daily, you won't get bored and that's what I'm doing. Although I have finished this book the day I received yet I couldn't stop myself from re-reading a poem a day. It soothes you, it motivates you, it makes you appreciate yourself and that was something I was never able to do in my life.

So grateful to for writing this masterpiece and helped me in admiring and appreciating myself and surroundings around me.

Thank you for giving me a chance to read and review this. I'm leaving my honest review ❤

"What makes you feel grateful?' sun asked the moon.

"That even after burning yourself out the entire day, you are still there for me to help me shine and rule the night," replied the moon.

"Falling for the Light" by Shaymi Shah is a unique book with a glow of its own, capturing the essence of nature with an innovative approach. The book has a groundbreaking concept: giving a voice to nature's elements, enabling them to share their stories and emotions.

The approach of personifying natural elements like air, sun, and water is a brilliant way to evoke empathy and understanding for the environment. The book's language is simple but has a profound meaning. Hence, it's a blend of simplicity and complexity, layered with deep emotions and reflections. The dialogue style makes it an easy read, gives voice to silent thoughts, and makes me ponder the intricate beauty of existence.

A few conversations also made me reflect on a few thoughts and connect with day-to-day life as well. The book focuses on encouraging us to appreciate the world in a new light and reinforcing the importance of mindfulness and awareness.

The book, in a nutshell, dives into emotional resonance and transformative power. It captures the essence of "Falling for the Light" as a work offering us a profound and soul-stirring experience that lingers long after the book is closed.

🍂A quote from the book🍂: " 'What is the hardest part of growing up?' asked the leaf. 'I have to learn to let go of you when the time comes.' said the branch to the leaf. "

I knew I’d love this book when I read the introduction by the author, it resonated with me.

🍂We are living in an eternal busy movie called “Life” and it is hard to click on that pause button as we tend forget about it in the first place. But this book will make you stop for a moment and will remind you to take a deep breath. The poetic writing with creative and beautiful illustrations of nature and its elements will amaze you.

‘Falling For The Light’ focus on the concept of slow reading, it tells the reader to slow down, to listen to the nature and to take a look around, to witness the beauty of the ‘Present’ and embrace it and to be flawsome.

🏞 Nature has always been talking to us, and we haven't tried to listen. I feel we have missed listening to whispers of the wind, observing playfulness of sea, the feel of warm and gentle sunlight and stopped realizing protective nature of the 'Nature' and the friendly smile of the moon. Better late than never, let's pause and take a relaxing deep breath and try to listen to the nature, the breathtaking and evergreen Nature. Let's love and protect it.

The writing will bring back to life the deeply hidden and almost forgotten love of the nature.

'Falling For The Light' by Shaymi Shah is a fascinating exploration of finding light through illustrated narratives. These enlightening conversations will give you an everlasting feeling of encouragement and upliftment. There is a great blend of simplicity and complexity showcased through the power of imagination.

These light conversations will give you an opportunity to shine through darker moments and seek the empathy of love, light and hope. Illustrations in this book adds another dimension to these poetic proses and paints the vivid lines of artistic masterpieces in our brains.

There is a brief contrast of illusion and reality being traced by the author shaymi shah in her narratives. She reminds us to pause and lies more emphasis on the thought of self-introspection.

This entire book is a work of creativity and intelligence. Shah's comforting and healing style of writing makes you feel like heaven. Her words are enchanting , imaginative, appealing that strikes the right chord with your mindset.

At last "Falling for the light" is a delightful and thought-provoking collection of poetic verses to captivate the reader's soul. I highly recommend this book to all the lovely readers.

Falling For The Light by Shaymi Shah is a collection of prose and dialogues with cute illustrations. These stem from the author's observations of the world around her.

The book is mostly based on the theme of the different elements of the nature around us that we never pay much heed to but need essentially around us. In the book a reader can find different conversations between rock, water, sun, moon, air, trees, leaves etc. The book gives you a perspective you didn't think you needed and gives you good food for thought. The illustrations in the book are simple yet interesting and make you wanna read what's written about the illustration.

The minimal illustrations can surely increase the interest of a reader and make them comfortable with the book. The theme of the book is very different and unique. But it failed to keep me hooked for long. I felt that the author could have done a better job with this theme as it offers to explore a lot of things. The book had its ups and downs for me.

If you are up for a different read with a unique theme do give this book a chance.

The book's concept, imagining the stories nature might tell if it could talk, intrigued me. The author's note at the beginning, emphasizing the importance of slow reading, added a thoughtful touch.

What stood out was the creative approach of infusing emotions into nature's elements, allowing them to share their own stories. Falling for the light is probably my first non-fiction read in the past two years and I was pleasantly surprised to know that it was unlike any other non-fictional books we may come across.

I loved how unique and fresh the concept was to interpret the world around us and way of life through conversations between the elements of nature. It captures the beauty of nature in the most exquisite way. Though the words are simple, it had profound meaning that is much needed in our busy lives. The short snippets, drawings and the details in each page made this reading experience quite thought provoking and beautiful for me.

This book is a must read for every non-fiction book lovers out there. It motivates you, calms your soul and soothes you in a ways that I didn’t even know was possible. It is simple, precise and delivers the message on point without any exaggeration in the most brilliant way.❤️💯

I would definitely pick this up to read when I’m feeling low in future! Thanks for sharing this one @shaymishah

The question posed in this book, "If nature could talk, what stories would they tell?" really captured my attention. It takes creativity to give the components of nature feelings and depth so that you may tell their tale in the same manner that they would have told if they could.

This book discussed a wide range of subjects, including how people interact with nature and the relationships between various natural components like air, branches, water, snow, rainbows, etc. Short poetry and illustrations enhanced my reading experience. The book emphasises we use nature for our needs rather than our wants, especially if it means depriving our future generation of nature's essential qualities.

The book explores the intriguing concept of nature's voice through poetry, imagining what elements might say if they could speak. While some were heartfelt and awesome the poetry often lapses into repetition, detracting from its initial allure. Themes of seeking light and wisdom are explored extensively but lack the depth needed to sustain interest throughout the book.

The book's strength lies in its imaginative approach to storytelling through the lens of nature. It encourages readers to ponder the unseen narratives that surround us daily.

But as a reader I would always recommend to a person ✨SEEKING LIGHT✨ !!

Review of Falling for the Light.
Falling for the Light explores an intriguing concept: picturing what stories nature's elements could tell if they could communicate.

The first thing that caught my eye were the illustrations. The illustrations in the book are fascinating, masterfully capturing the spirit of the natural world and providing a vibrant layer to the reading experience. These images are likely to be a highlight for readers, resulting in a visual feast that complements the conceptual exploration.
While the theme is fascinating, the poem's execution falls short of its full potential. The poems are usually good, although they frequently follow similar material, missing the freshness and depth that could enhance the work.
Although the writing is simple and approachable, it does not above average literary quality.
This may result in a reading experience that is slower and less interesting since it lacks the cozy or immersive feeling that distinguishes more intriguing slow reads.
Furthermore, the repetition of some topics throughout the book may lead to a sense of redundancy, thus reducing the overall effect. Readers seeking new viewpoints or innovative ways may find this element particularly restricting.
In conclusion, while Falling for the Light is visually appealing and provides a fresh concept, its poetic adoption may not please those looking for a more dynamic or innovative experience. There are plenty more choices available that may provide a more entertaining and enriching read.
