Lupine Valley #3

Everything I Desire

Rate this book
He’s worthy of love as I am worthy to be loved.

Adelaide

Porter Jackson is the one that got away. He ran, leaving behind his family’s reputation, and disappeared from my life for ten long years.

When his sister runs off without warning, he returns to our small town as if nothing has changed and takes guardianship of his niece, reminding me of the caring person I used to love.

Now with him next door and my close relationship with his niece, I can’t shake the feeling that this is where we are supposed to be, despite our pasts and the heartache that still lingers.

Porter

Adelaide Harper is the girl I left behind. She deserved so much more than a boy like me, one filled with too much darkness and no future ahead of him.

Her bright light was everything that I wanted, but I refused to be selfish. Even now, a decade later, nothing has changed, not my family, not my past, not the pang I feel at the thought of her.

With Kayla safe and the chaos simmering down, there’s nowhere left to hide, and I can no longer pretend nothing ever happened. Even so, I stand by the choice I made and won’t risk her happiness for my own.

Will Adelaide and Porter find everything they desire in Lupine Valley, or will the heartbreaks of the past be too much to overcome?

Everything I Desire by J. Hutchison
5/5 stars

JH is back with another fabulous installment in her Lupine Valley series. It is a great small-town series with not only the main characters being amazing, but an amazing supporting cast of characters that make you feel like you are in Lupine Valley.

ADDY. I really enjoyed her character in the sense that she knows who she is and what she wants out of life. I aspire to be her in that way. She enjoys her job and who she is in her family and the relationship she has with them. I enjoyed her relationship with Kayla and calming Porter down in response to normal teenage behavior. HER AND HER SISTERS ARE A GROUP I WANT TO BE PART OF.

PORTER. Sir. My heart broke for him and how much he struggled and suffered. I really liked that he did the best he could and showed up for those closest to him. I relate to him and all that he went through in response to the circumstances he was put through by life. I liked that he showed up and eventually got out of his own way to find happiness. I enjoyed his relationship with Preston and Colton so much.

JH has written a lovely third installment in a small -town series that will have you laugh, cry, and blush with heart and steam. I can’t wait to see more from these characters and new! Check out this book on March 7th and don’t forget to read the first two books to catch up on kindle and kindle unlimited.

Thank you to @author.jhutchison for an ARC copy of the book! X

I have been waiting for this book! Adelaide always had me wondering what happened to her to make her feel so sad and lonely. Well then we learn about Porter and what he sadly did to make Adelaide so sad.

I love how their story starts out with the little bit of their backstory. You find out how it all went down and why Adelaide never really dates nowadays. It is so sad but also a little sweet too, she found her one and only at 17 and never got over him.
Then we are back in the now, 10 years later, and she is thrown back into her history with one that got away. His reasons for coming back will just break your heart and love him all at the same time.

Porter, this man my goodness you cannot help but love him right away. He was dealt a bad hand with his parents and upbringing but he never let that stop him from being a good person. I loved his relationship with Adelaide. Really both of them together made them a favorite couple to read. Throw in how they both are helping Kayla and showing her love, just lovely to read.

I didn’t want their story to end but I gotta say that epilogue made my heart so happy! But made me want more of them lol. I cannot wait to read Willow’s story next and hopefully get more of these two!!

Have y’all heard? J.Hutchinson has a new book out and if you haven’t had a chance to read it you need to check it out. It’s a great second chance opposites attract story that is part of the Lupine Valley Series.I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and Hazel’s Book Tours in exchange for a read and review. All opinions are my own.
Here are some of my thoughts:
This was my first book reading in the lupine valley series and I have already added the previous two books to my TBR I enjoyed it that much. What’s great about this book is when it begins you learn about both these characters story and what they’ve been through and you are able to read and follow how they face obstacles but find there way. I love a good single parent book and in this one Porter is the guardian of his niece and your able to see how Addy and him were able to give Kayla the life she deserves. It’s also a touching tale of you finding yourself even in the hardest situations and that you are actually worth it all in the end even if someone has to help you believe this. So please get a cozy spot and read this hallmark like tale with some spice and some tears. I cannot wait to read what else comes next.

Another great book in the series. Absolutely had so much fun reading it and loving “Adelaide and Porter’s story. I liked how each book is so different and tells a story that captures your attention each time. Each book is an adventure and this book was no less than wonderful. I liked how the story shows that the FMC is actually the one who shows that she won’t give up no matter what and keeps trying each time.

The lines that were normally said by an MC was now done from “Adelaide’s POV and I loved that. It’s so unique in the sense that she knows that she loves Porter still and makes sure he knows how loved and cared for he is. She’s always reassuring him and trying to make him believe in himself. “Adelaide’s sisters are always so good to catch glimpses off especially after reading their stories and knowing what their love life is like.

I enjoyed that both “Adelaide and Porter cared so deeply for one another that they were still in love with each other even after all those years. I liked Kayla and how she fits into the story and how they both try to do right by her and take care of her.

I have not read anything by author J. However her writing and this series has me hooked I need more. Adelaide and Porter as young kids were so in love and I felt she was willing to give it all up for him. I understand why Porter did what he did it tough to feel like you are never good enough. That definitely carried on into his adult life. I wanted Porter to have an amazing life he has been through so much. I love how he interacted with Kayla he is such a dad. When he hit Adelaine with the first “baby” after all that time away my heart melted into a puddle. I really enjoyed this book. The characters were well written the plot went by smoothly and I wanted more. It had great tension I loved how she addressed how they both felt after all that time apart. I wonder if Porter knew what happed would he had come home sooner.

This was a very sweet, fast-paced second chance romance following high school sweethearts who reconnected after a decade apart. While I really enjoy books around this length (less than 300 pages), I do wish the main characters' times apart could have been fleshed out more to convey just how much they'd grown and changed during that time.

I think the characters were great and there was just the right amount of side characters to keep the plot moving without taking away from the main story. The MMC got under my skin a bit with the self-depravation thing, though. Like he wouldn't commit to the FMC because he thought he was protecting her from him, yet he called her baby all the time. He needed to stop playing games and just go with his heart lol.

This was the first book that I've read by J. Hutchison, and it has opened me up into the quaint fictional small town of Lupine Valley. Of course, after finishing this one, I had to read the rest of the series and it did not disappoint! If you're looking for a book series that gives you Hallmark vibes with a bit of spice, look no further than the Lupine Valley series. First off, what I really loved about this book was the fact that Adelaide and Porter's love story really withstood the test of time and distance. I also admired the close family dynamic and strong sisterhood bond of the Harper family and the wholesome community of this small town.

I believe in the adage that absence does make the heart grow fonder and this book definitely reflected that. There were certain topics that this story's author did handle very well. Some of the themes that were touched upon are child neglect, drug use/abuse, and child abandonment, mentions of past death of a parent. Those are not topics that come up usually in a romance novel, and they did not detract from my overall enjoyment of my reading experience, nor do I believe that it will hinder other people from reading. Just be aware of the trigger/content warnings before diving into this book.

This book releases on March 7th, 2024. If you're looking for your newest small town romance series, look no further than Lupine Valley. You'll fall in love with this cast of characters and wish that Lupine Valley was real. I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

This book has the type of storytelling where each chapter is described by one of the main characters. In that, the thing I liked is that some scenarios were mentioned from both the points of view, so that it feels complete to the reader. Although the genre of the book is romance, the love between different relationships has been harmlessly expressed. I especially liked how the male main character has his own insecurities and vulnerabilities and that is normalized. I find the book to be a relaxing read that has quite a few wholesome moments

I ve loved Lupin Valley from the beginning of our meeting but in this one.. Wow! So really and very much enjoyed the story of Adelaide and Porter.
Full of feelings. With social messages. With a love that can make miracles come true. And so it does
What a journey was that! With anxiety, with questions, and friendship and family bonding and beyond all with love!!
And I loved it. Its plot, the language, the characters' depth.
A totally worth read.

This is the 3rd book in the Lupine Valley series but can be read as a standalone.

This was such a beautiful story about finding yourself and believing you are worth it.

I loved Addy and Porter so much as just the 2 of them but the way to work together for Kayla’s sake made my heart so full!

This was truly a beautiful story inside and out! I can’t wait to read J. Hutchinson’s other books because this one her an auto-buy author for me!

“You told me in other ways,Porter. My favorite memory of that night was the way you held me, you held me like I set the sun, and held the moon for you too. “

This book is full of raw emotions and real life experiences. I loved every minute of reading this story. This is the third book in a series but it is a standalone. I definitely plan to go back and read the others.

This is the third book in the Lupine Valley series - and yes, I have to admit to having done it again!
I read book 2.5 - Everything I Want - a short novella - in this universe, last year and really loved the beautiful small town setting and fell for the charm of it's residents too.
I vowed to catch up on the first two books, but as yet haven't managed to fit them in - but knew that I'd love to continue the series and couldn't twists grabbing this one to review too.

Even though it's been a while, I dived straight back into this gorgeous setting to read Adelaide and Porter's story.

What a gorgeous couple.
I loved the Harper family dynamic and bond and the loyalty the sisters share really gave them a great vibe. It's the sort of family we all dream of.
Porter having sacrificed his feelings once before can't deny that they are still there and as strong as ever for Adelaide - but will things work this time?

This book deals with some quite strong themes which just pull us away from the oure romance genre, but I loved that these were dealt with super sensitively and added a bit more depth to the storyline.

The writing style is just beautiful and I just can't help becoming totally immersed in these books - racing through this from start to finish and then feeling a little lost when it ended!
It's so easy to fall in love with Lupine Valley and I can't wait to catch up and then hope to be able to continue with more to come in this series.
