Walker, as a member of Guardian Group Security Firm, is assigned to keep Kait safe until she testifies. His plan places them in a small, secluded cabin nestled in the Alaskan wilderness. Despite the winter's harsh grip tightening and the looming danger intensifying, an attraction between the pair sparks.

Packed with danger, action, & emotions.

I'll start with Walker because Kait's story is more complicated. Walker was born to drug addicted parents who fought like cats & dogs. The only thing they did right was have Hendrix (his older brother) about 6 years before him. If it wasn't for Hendrix I have no doubt that Walker would be dead, traded for drugs, or died of starvation. Hendrix would grab him & they would hide in a locked closet. It was their only safety. Walker was beaten really bad one day & when he went to Kindergarten the teacher saw the bruises. She called child protective services. Walker got lucky & some cousins took him in. However, Hendrix had a criminal record. And because of that his family were afraid to take him in. He was bounced around from one foster home to another. Anyway back to Walker he barely remember his parents. He went to a therapist. Walker was offered a full fide scholarship to four different colleges. And he turned them all down. He had reconnected with Hendrix & found out he joined the Marines. Walker always felt like he was more like his dad than a brother. And he wanted to make him proud of him. He wanted him to feel like his sacrifice was worth it. Walker followed in his footsteps & joined the Marines. When Hendrix got out & joined Guardian Group (security team, ex military) Walker did the same thing.

Kait had driven parents who were both lawyers. They were never home & Kait was the oldest. Kait naturally stepped into the roll of caregiver. She took care of her sister & brother. She did the laundry, cooked, cleaned, etc. Which kinda ticks me off. You know they had to have enough money to hire a nanny. Instead they basically forced their daughter to grow up too fast. She never had any friends because she was to busy taking care of her siblings. She couldn't hang out or go to clubs. She made a friend in a neighbor boy who was awful to her. Every time they hung out together it was to do what he wanted. Your typical narcissist. He asked her to marry him & before she could think it through she said yes. He was killed before they could marry.

Okay now to the present. Kait witnessed a murder. Unfortunately, the shooter was a crime boss. He had connections everywhere! She immediately was put in witness protection along with her family. They were separated. Kait was at their fourth safe house when once again they were attacked. This time their were a lot of men. She left her protectors to find a weapon, they wouldn't let her have a gun. She found a knife. A guy broke through the window & she froze. He told her he was trying to save her life. She didn't believe him. When he reached for her she cut his ankle. It didn't even faze the hulking man. Eventually enough happened around her that she halfway trusted him. They escaped barely. Went to a private airstrip & Walker flew the plane to a secluded cabin his family owned in Alaska. The cabin was even hidden with moss growing on the outside & over the windows you had to know where it was to even locate it. They were there for three months waiting on the trial. A lot can happen in three months, if you know what I mean. He taught her to shot a rifle. They ended up sharing a lot about themselves. More than they had planned to. However, they were forming a friendship. Right? A month before they were supposed to leave they got really close, finally. Think of all the time they wasted resisting the pull to one another because of all the baggage they had from unresolved emotions. We all have baggage.edit Walker gets seriously hurt, it was a good thing Kait is a nurse, and Kait did what she does best took excellent care of him. Next more talking and they get closer. The trial is in Washington, D.C. When they arrive they were attacked again. They end up driving all over the city to lose the bad guys. Everything is okay until they get closer to figure out who the mole is. They have to look into everyone. And before the trial they are attacked two more times. The ending gets pretty bad for Kait. However, her Superman always saves her! That's all I'm going to say I left a lot out especially the ending.

Walker by Bree Livingston (5 stars)

Two people who have been damaged by their families growing up, are tied together by a murder. One o them witnessed the murder, the other was a friend of the victim.

Kait is in the witness protection program until she can testify against the gangster who she saw murdering a man in cold blood. Walker is a part of Guardian group who are hired to find protect her because the Feds have a leak somewhere and the safe houses keep getting found.

The two of them go to a remote cabin in Alaska. The attraction is palpable between them, but they both realize the temporary nature of this forced proximity and try to not act on their attraction. Instead, they begin to get to know one another and heal from various wounds inflicted during their flight from civilization. Their time in he cabin is healing for both of them as each tries to work through her trauma. Walker from his childhood and Kait from the narcissistic abuse she endured from he boyfriend.

As they head back to civilization for the trial, the baddie and his mole have some serious surprises awaiting them.
It’s all very exciting and believable enough. You are left to wonder who the mole is up until the very last minute, when our intrepid Guardian Group figures it out.

Anyway, it’s a great read with all this romantic feels and Walker and Kait are a couple who will undoubtably have a wonderful life together!

A nurse falls in love with her Superman bodyguard.

Loved being with the guys from Guardian Group Security again. Been looking forward to reading Walker story after reading Hendrix story. Walker and Kaitlyn story was exciting from the start. Walker became the one Kait depended on and fell in love with. In the time they came together Kaitlyn became his nurse and helpmate. He fell in love with her from the first moment. But an evil man was out to get her and that almost ended their relationship. But in the end all turned out at it should. So glad that he and Hendrix got closer as brothers. Still looking forward to Mason, Noah and Gunnar stories. Also an update on the rest of the team.

Truth and communication are the keys

Walker is one of the Guardian Group, they are a group of men and women who with different skills protected those who in trouble. Kait is a NICU nurse, at the end of a shift, she witnessed a murder by a notorious criminal. She called 911 reported the crime and then was put into a safe house. Unfortunately, the bad guys kept finding her. This is where Walker comes in, he's hired to protect her, takes her to Alaska, where they meet up close and personal with a bear! They have many other "wonderful" adventures, but, you need to read the book yourself. This is a series, however, they are each stand-alone adventures.

Walker: Guardian Group Security Team

Great addition to the series. Kaitlyn Roberts’s life has been turned upside down because she was the only witness to the murder of an undercover officer. Little did she know the dangers involved. Kaitlyn mistakenly injures Walker as he is trying to rescue her from those trying to keep her from testifying. He remains determined to protect her. Will he be able to protect his heart from falling for her while trying to save her from those wishing to harm her?

I am really enjoying this Guardian Security Team series. I liked that this book focused on Walker, who works for the Guardian Group. Walker was protecting Kaitlin while she was waiting to testify in a murder trial. I found that they both had interesting pasts and issues to deal with. This all came out when they were cooped up in a small cabin in a remote place in Alaska. I enjoyed the sparks between them, their chemistry, the suspense, and the few, heartstopping moments in the book. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

I love the Guardian Group. I'm so glad this series has gone on as long as it has. This is such a great group of people. I love the mystery and suspense that comes with this series. There is plenty of romance, but there is always that suspense that just adds to the story. I loved Kait and Walker's story. I wish it had been longer, especially with more details about the time in Alaska, but I still really enjoyed this story.

Walker

Walker was hired to protect Kit after several safe houses were attacked. Walker arrived when the bad guys showed up to kidnap Kait. She didn't know one from another so she stabbed Walker in the leg! Regardless of their untimely meeting he was able to get her out, but not before more issues arose. They have over three months to be sequestered together, how will that time work out between them much less will they be safe after all.

Great book. I really like this author’s writing style. Clean romantic suspense. It’s mostly about the romance with not a tonne of suspense and there are some unanswered questions but I liked it at face value. This is just a review about how I felt when I read it. I’m not a reviewer who digs deep so this is just my opinion. I liked it and I recommend it.

Lots of action

I very much enjoyed this latest addition to the Guardian Group Security Team Series. Walker and Cait meet under very stressful circumstances and the action just keeps coming! I loved seeing their relationship grow throughout the book. It was sweet but still had enough chemistry and heat to keep me engaged. Bree Livingston has another win on her list!

Another great book

Walker is just as great as all the other books in this series have been. Bree has an amazing talent of creating such believable characters. The banter between the main characters is just so life like. The action and suspense just hold you on the edge of your sest.

Who was selling them out?

Kait had been attacked at so many 'safe' houses, she didn't know who to trust or if she would live to testify. So much drama and danger, even hidden in Alaska she wasn't safe.
A good read, great characters and a HEA what morecan you want.

Another awesome story

Life happens, family comes in all forms, Evil happens but goodness and the Guardians will win. The details of the characters was rich. The setting mostly beautiful. You might run into Murdock! Read on to find out about him.

Good read

Except for the fact that Kait is stupid and even I was really suspicious of the district attorney, this book was entertaining. I like the original Guardian group stories so I decided to read this book
