Castles Don't Cry

Rate this book
A decision made instinctively in a moment of panic should have ended her life; instead, it changed her world.

As she struggled with the heartbreaking loss of her father, Sarah Castle Gilbert planned another weekend trip to visit her mother in Florida, assuring her disgruntled husband she’d be back for their daughter’s first day of kindergarten. A pinky-swear with the five-year-old added emphasis to that commitment.

But an emergency landing during the journey home becomes a terrifying nightmare when Sarah is forced to navigate the unspeakable dangers of an outdated airport terminal under siege. Fear and guilt become constant companions as the promise to her child would surely be broken.

The situation only intensifies with the arrival of a mysterious yet charismatic young man whose intentions are questionable at best.

While family relationships are explored, secrets revealed, and old memories confronted, a fragile new friendship emerges with a bond so intense it changes their lives as much as the incident itself.

A lawyer on her way home to Maine and a college student visiting his father in South Carolina are thrown together in a harrowing attempt to save the few who survived an evil man’s rage.

Amazing intense thriller!

I picked this one up after reading the author's first book, and they keep getting better! This thriller is action-packed, yet still has an intimacy about the characters that you fall in love with, also very well-written. I absolutely loved the main character and could relate to her life in so many ways!!!

I finished this book in one 24 HR period. I would have finished sooner if my Kindle didn't need to be charged. The action just never seemed to stop, and the characters were all written so well that I cared what happened to all the good ones and totally despised the bad ones. There were times I was brought to tears.

Excellent

This is a fast paced, heart wrenching thriller full of love, hate, feelings of inadequacy, heroism, good and evil. I loved it! The book is well written and edited, and the character development is superb. Kudos to the author.

Terrific read!

The author didn't pull any punches with this one! Just when you have the plot figured out, it swoops in and changes! It will not let you down!
