The Bold Monkey series continues in an exciting new installment, this time with a fascinating new twist! Having left off on a cliffhanger, this new entry opens with what is relevant to that cliffhanger in a big way, providing a new point of view throughout that I found truly exciting to explore!

A new character is brought into the story, and the author weaves him into all that has happened so far, dedicating this entry to exploring his life. The new character is so ingeniously conceived and revealed, I honestly could not wait to read more about him, and before I knew it, the book was over, having escalated the stakes and elevated its massive world to new heights once again!

All of the characters in Bold Monkey are deeper than they appear, and reveal the author's care in what he wishes to say through each of them. The central character in this entry had me experiencing moments that ranged from sympathy to horror and disdain, and I really admire Gonzalez's ability to explore such a wide range of dimensions with both his characters and his worlds.

This is a great book for both young and old - easy to read, clean content that will engage you with its surprising depth. I hope more people check out the Bold Monkey series; it has really surprised me, and in exchange for a moment of your time, it'll surprise you too!
