I really enjoyed this one it was a fun quick read 🤭
I absolutely adore talya and gio they’re a perfect couple and have such an incredible relationship 🫶🏼
They’re connect through their past but they built an even stronger one in such short time.

I got to read this as one of Emily’s ARC readers! I have to say it’s such a good book!!! I love that Emily is able to tie in so many real issues to educate the readers on them! I may or may not have begged her for more to this story or from another characters POV!!

I was honestly drawn in by the cover. With all of Emily's books I read the TW’s, then jump in blind. If you are someone W/O Trigs. Do yourself a favor and double check…. Dark books mean dark. Not pink, BLACK. SNS.
Anyways, Ever read a book by the same author for a palette clear from another one of their series? Just me, bet. Masked desires did in fact have masks, TTL. Natalya had her work cut out for her. No pun intended. She was slaving away one day at work, when a customer came in (during) her (shift) and then it was all over from there.

This story will have you hooked! with dark themes, twists, devilish desires and more! Natalya hasnt had an easy life, but when she finds herself the object of desire for a mystery man called Eros, she feels he is familier and when all is revealed her ast comes back with the chance for revenge she takes it long with the men who help her! well written the story is captivating, twists, steamy hot but with dark themes!

It started off pretty light but god damn it took a turn!
The stalking, the masks, the teddybears, the "I treat you like a sl*t in bed but a princess outside of it" ... I live for that!!!
And come on, how can you NOT love both Giovanni and Lorenzo? 🖤🖤
The only thing bothering me was Sofia. She really didn't have to be there, I would have wanted Nataliya to have all FOUR men to herself... 😈
It was amazing when it was just Giovanni and Lorezo, then Victor joined in and then.. Absolutely LOVED it when Enzo joined in as a surprise at the end! 😍
I'm so not done with these characters yet!! Please tell me there's moooore to come😭

I really debated the stars on this one, but only since I know most pay attention to the 1 star reviews over the 5 star and I wanted a chance to tell just how much I liked this story. This is really a good 5 star for a shorter story and I am not one that gives them out with out reason.
First thing to note... triggers. Check them. Not for those that faint easily or are offended by everything.
Looking taboo? You are in the right place. This is the book for you.
Dark romance lover? Yup, you will enjoy this. So long as you check the triggers. There are a couple that may not suite all readers.
Spice? Yeah there is plenty of that in a variety of flavors. I can guarantee there will be something that you will enjoy.

Masked Desires is VERY trigger heavy! Please be mindful of all content warnings. Gio and Natalya met in foster home but eventually go their separate ways. A decade later, Natalya is doing s*x work. Gio is determined to save her. Although he's a completely unhinged, masked, Mafia man; he is also very sweet and caring. It'll give you mixed emotions and have you questioning yourself constantly. It's a quick read that's basically all spice! Emily killed it again!

While reading this book, I thought: every woman deserves a man like Giovanni 🤪.
The book is well-written, and while it's dark, it's not as pitch-black as many of this author's other books.
