Rate this book
Cloverton police officer Melanie Hart juggles the demands of her job and raising her two young daughters alone after her husband abandoned them years ago. Mel isn’t complaining, though having great kids and a few close friends doesn’t do much to ease her loneliness.

Dean Gorman never thought he’d return to Cloverton after creating a successful career as a photojournalist. However, he is drawn to his hometown to document the loss of their biggest employer, Cloverton Lumber, and the ripple effect it has had on the town.

While exploring the vacant building, he is nearly arrested for trespassing by Mel, his childhood friend and the woman who broke his heart. Despite his determination to move on and leave Cloverton in the past, Dean doesn’t know if he can walk away from love once again.

Can Melanie and Dean navigate the complexities of their past to forge a future together or will the past be too much to overcome?

Dean is a photographer who feels the need to go back home. There lives her best friend and the woman he loves.
Melanie loves her best friend but never tells him that for fear of losing him. However, marrying Mark because she got pregnant was not her best decision.
A love too big to die and the chance to feel it without reserves.
A sweet and beautiful story.

This is a good small town romance about second chances. The story is about Melanie and Dean. She is a single mother and a police officer struggling to keep a balance. Dean, her childhood friend, has returned home. Can these two get a second chance? I enjoyed this heart warming and entertaining read. It is a fairly short and quick read with very likable characters.

The minute I finished this book I went and searched of book number two! This was an amazing novella
For Mel and Dean this is a second chance romance that had me engrossed from page one as a single mother she's not sure if she wants a relationship! Dean knows what he wants and he's not going to stop until he gets it. I highly recommend this short but sweet and enthralling read!

A sweet quick read with all the feels. Melanie and Dean get a second chance at love. They’ve had hidden feelings for many years but circumstances prevented them from acting on them. New circumstances bring them back together.

Going Home follows childhood best friends Melanie and Dean who reconcile after Dean returns home to Cloverton after being away for 10 years. Though they both lead very different lives, Dean is intent on doing whatever he can to regain Melanie's trust and finally disclose his unrequited love for her. The book is a short, fast read that hits all of the right romance beats and has you rooting for the couple to go for and succeed at their second chance now that they're older, wiser, and more mature in their life choices.
