The first thing I didn’t like about this book was the talk of God and Christianity. Basically Elizabeth gets pregnant with her on again off again guy from college, Brady. She doesn’t know, she comes home from college and meets her next door neighbor Jacob. Her and Jacob see each other at church and hit it off.
She finds out she’s pregnant and continues to mess around with Jacob and doesn’t tell him until after they slept together. Jacob wants to continue the relationship but Elizabeth decides not to because she doesn’t want to hurt him. Jacob’s ends up with the bitch Kirstin (his sisters best friend).
Elizabeth eventually tells Brady about the baby when she’s seven months pregnant. They try to work things out but Elizabeth still has feelings for Jacob. She ends up kissing Jacob and Jacob tells her he doesn’t have feelings for her anymore and she cries.
Brady sees the kiss and Elizabeth cries and says she wants to work things out. I feel for the girl because she just wants to be loved but DAMN.
In the end Elizabeth realizes she loves Brady and they work things out and have the baby

This is a story of Elizabeth who is looking forward to a real life, a real job, new friends, and endless possibilities.

Character of Elizabeth, Jacob, Stacey, Chad, Kristen, Brady are strong.

It is a story of love and life with a female protagonist who digs deep to find herself.

In the Prequel I didn't care for Brady all that much mainly, because of how he used Trina as a sidepiece for a week. However, when she asked if he wanted to take it further he said well if she wanted to. In other words, it wasn't on his top ten or even five things to do. He was only interested in doing a week off (like a one-off) in Florida.

However, in this one, I feel for him. You can't even say it's hormones spurring her on one hundred percent. Elizabeth will have to lean hard into her faith, to get her life turned around if she is to have any hope of keeping a happy home and a happy life. She is a spoiled young woman out of control. Elizabeth got used to the instant gratification that she had forgotten how to conduct herself even while carrying her unborn child. Like starting to down a beer before she catches herself.

Jacob was a total disappointment. He knew she was pregnant and even knew there was a possibility she had an abortion. However, that didn't stop him and seemed to speed him along. So, much so that the side piece he keeps on speed dial tells him the news about Elizabeth being pregnant, and looking to have an abortion. He still keeps the bowling date with Elizabeth, Jessica (Jacob’s ex), and Chad (Jacob’s BFF). Instead of taking her home to her door, he takes her home to his door. Before you know it, Jacob & Elizabeth are in bed together. She is sneaking into her parent’s home, in time to go to work.

This whole book is nothing but a mind game with a side of no self-control. I guess it doesn't what a book is supposed to do make you think. Stars: 3.8 🌟🌟🌟

It was ok. I was hoping Elizabeth and Jacob would end up together. Not sure if the author put Elizabeth and the father of the baby together because she felt it was the moral thing to do; have two parents for the baby. The book seemed to have a religious factor to it. I'm not oppose to it, for I have my own beliefs as well. But It just seemed kinda forced for Elizabeth and Brady to suddenly be in love, etc.

And Jacob and Kristen, that was truly a forced couple because of the circumstances of Elizabeth being pregnant. I under that Jacob and Kristen has history, but they are not a likeable couple.

I wish the author could have a redo with all the different comments and views. Perhaps she would have written it differently and/or change the outcome. Or keep the outcome the way it is in this book and changed it up in the second from all the drama that occurred in the second half of this story.

I liked it as a cute debut novel. I was lucky enough to get the original cover, it's pretty adorable. I also just like the way it was a really easy read. Sometimes I want to shut my brain off and just read something that doesn't take much energy and just enjoy it.

Also rating it five stars because I personally enjoyed it, and I watched a documentary that said anything below five stars hurts an author and that feels kind of unfair? 4 stars or 3 stars should still be a good rating but I guess rating systems are weird. Since I enjoyed the book and want to be encouraging for more big ol 5 star seal of approval.

Great story with young female growth!

I got sucked into this story from the beginning. When she has a choice to make, at first I was conflicted about who I thought she should choose. But then I met Brady and it all clicked….love the internal struggle and fear over being a single parent. Loved that she was allowed to make her decision with a ton of support! And love love Elizabeth and Brady

I really enjoyed this read and couldn't put it down. It's rare I devour an entire book in a matter of days, but this one got my attention and held on to it until the end. By the end, I grew to love Elizabeth and her imperfect personality. She admits to her mistakes and owns up to the consequences. Even with the twist of Jacob in there, she proved that life is messy sometimes. I love interconnected stories, so I'll eventually have to go back and read the rest of them.

Great book

I really loved this book I read it every day. I really liked it when she was done with college and went home with her parents and met new friends. When she found out she was pregnant and wanted to abort it I was sad but had to find out what she was going to decide.
Just read this book to find out more.

The book was sweet but felt very YA felt like lots of unnecessary drama.

Nice story

Very different and kept interest. The only thing I don't understand is that Brady worked for his dad and would take over the business yet he was moving near her? Why not an engagement ring? She could move for him. Just thought it was strange. Her emotions were strange but I guess she had unusual relationships in college.

A good book.

For me, it felt a little hard to read and more like skimming. I was hooked just to see what would happen, and it's more like a young adult read. It was cute thought and the main lead had to world through her feelings.

Brady and Elizabeth love story is so special. Their journey is written so well that you can easily escape with the characters. I fell in love with everyone, well almost everyone, there always has to be one character that makes you roll your eyes. I cant wait to read more

Finished this book but almost DNF several times. Very pushy when it comes to keeping the baby, Elizabeth is immature and didn’t like the story lines of Brady and Jacob… just not my vibe.

Pregnancy centers are not what this author thinks they are. Or they're exactly what she thinks they are. Either way, I want to address the misinformation.

This is my first book by this author. I did enjoy the story; however, I think that it just didn't draw me in the way I would have hoped.

I felt like maybe the characters didn't react the way I think people would in real life, so I had a hard time believing it.

Overall I gave it 3 stars and would like to read more books by this author.

This was a very interesting read. It’s a compelling story with a cast of well-balanced characters set in a quaint small town. One of the things that I liked was that the author was good at keeping you hooked on the story; there’s always something exciting going on that makes you want to know what’s going to happen next, and the author did a good job of always keeping the suspense up.

Elizabeth was a relatable heroine. She’s not perfect, and she made a lot of bad decisions, but she learned from those experiences, which helped her grow as a person. Things may not have happened as she planned in her life, but I think she was still able to adapt to the new changes and found something wonderful in them as well.

The romance was okay. There’s a love triangle, and how it was executed was interesting because Elizabeth mostly interacted with Jacob for about 70% of the story and during this time, Brady was just always a passing thought until she finally found the courage to contact him to let him know that he’s going to be a father. It also felt like this love triangle was not yet resolved, even though Elizabeth did make a decision on who she wanted to be with.

I do favor Brady more because I like what I have seen from him so far, but this still might change, so I’m hoping to learn more about him in the next book since he wasn’t present for most of the story in this book. David was a good man, and I did like him at first, but his reaction towards abortion, while understandable, didn’t sit well with me. Also, I didn’t like how he treated Kristen. Kristen was no angel, and she had her faults, but she didn’t deserve to be used whenever things went south for David in his relationships.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this book, and I’m looking forward to reading the next book to see what happens next.
