Second in the Coopers' Companions series Michelle Cooper has strong standards. Although she's a third owner of Coopers' Companions, a successful male escort service, she never dates any of the escorts. Mixing business with pleasure always leads to a mess. Her convictions are put to the test when two men apply for jobs as escorts. Nathan Turner and Andre D'Amato send her hormones into overdrive.
Andre and Nathan have been friends and lovers for years. They love each other, yet both enjoy sex with women. Neither has been interested enough in one woman to pursue her until they meet Michelle.
Pursuing Michelle isn't easy. She makes it clear to the two men that she doesn't date any of the escorts. Andre and Nathan want Michelle and come up with a simple she should date both of them. That isn't even a possibility as far as Michelle is concerned. She can't possibly become involved with two men at the same time. Can she?
I was born and raised in a small town in Texas close to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Writing has been in my blood since I was eight years old and wrote my first story for an English assignment. The baby of four children, I was spoiled rotten and still am.
I can't imagine ever writing anything but romances. I enjoy writing about two people (or sometimes more than two) falling in love. If you like the story enough to smile in places, shed a tear at times, or get a warm and fuzzy feeling, that is my greatest reward.
Besides writing at every opportunity, I love reading, traveling, scrapbooking, photography, and learning new things on the computer. I'm a software junky and like trying out new programs, especially anything to do with graphics.
I moved back to Texas after living on the West Coast for 21 years, to a small town 17 miles from where I grew up. I live close to my only surviving sister.
Well, Michelle has to be one of the best female characters in this genre. She's successful, strong, yet very feminine and easy to love. Plus she has hot brothers (though one of them is a chauvinist, but he's supposed to change, so no worries). The 2 men, Andre and Nathan, are already in a relationship, but after meeting Michelle, they want her to join. Which is great, since both of them are hot and totally nice guys.
There was no crazy ex-husband/lover or abuse or anything else equally stupid. The problems Michelle face are obvious, normal problems any menage would face, especially when they live in Arlington, TX and not in some secluded ranch.
Good read. The plot revolves around two male lovers who have decided that the heroine would make their perfect third and their pursuit of her. The heroine likes them but doesn' date employees AND she likes both of them and WHAT will people say? Lots of sex scenes between all possible combinations of the three partners.
Coopers' Companions Series 1. Rent a Stud 2. Michelle's Men 3. Almost Perfection
I thought this plot was ok and the sex scenes so hot. Let's talk sex. I would have to give it 5 chili peppers. Hot! Hot! Hot!This is not typical sex that most readers of traditional romances areused to. The sex starts early in the book, on page 16 between the two male leads and continues through out. The sex scenes are varied from the office of Cooper Companions to Michelle's home to the males apartment. There are two menage-a-trois scenes that come later in the book. And it is not until the end that all the players have full knowledge of all sexual "likes." Book two in this series would have acutally been better as book one. Many questions raised in book one were answered here such as how the business started it the first place, family, educational background, etc. We also saw more of the business in this book. Back story was flushed out here. And we finally get to see some of the other escorts. In book one, there were no meetings and in this book there were two. So many meeting and the back story of the business also highlights that there was not much of a story going on here. Unlike book one, Rent-A-Stud, the main problem for Michelle does not surface until the last chapter. And that problem? She thought it was the fact that she was attracted to two males who were employees, best friends and roommates. Acutally it was that they were also lovers. Now, for most women, this would be a major problem. At least in the first book, Jade takes days to figure out she wants Zac regadless of the age difference. In this book, the lovers kiss each other in front of Michelle at her home after she has asked them to move in with her. And how long does it take before she capitualtes? Roughly two pages. Really? Two pages to decide that she wants to be involved with two men who love each other as well as her? I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is romance and not fantasy. I felt like the author got tired and did not want to do the work to make this the real issue of the book. While I've been disappointed in both of these books, I have to read the last one to finish the series. Will Brent become less of a chauvistic pig and not fly off the handle when things don't go his way? And his behavior in this book was very tiresome. I would have thought the author would have let him grow up a little bit more. Will Briana finally get her man or men? I really wanted to see Briana and Brent togehter. I think they would have had great fireworks. Just think of the verbal sparing. Since there does not seem to be a book four, I hope there is some closure on Briana. This series has not drawn me to the characters like the Malory's, the Chinooks, the newly discovered Elliots.

i'll have to say i like Ms. LaFleur's writing, but this one wasn't greater than Rent-A-Stud. i like menage, but this one didn't really hit it off for me. menage relationships are a fantasy for me with no actual knowledge and it's better when the characters are better developed so it's more believable to me. hehe. nevertheless, i like the trilogy. i'll be reading the next book soon and recommend it to erotic fans who like light stories. they are fun and quick and just entertaining.
Not only is this book hot, like you may need a skin graph for the burns hot. but Michelle is such a strong woman. So many stories have weak female leads. Not this one. She's not the stereotypical wall flower or femdom, she's just a strong woman and that made the story so much better. You will smile, laugh, lust and swoon! Excellent story I enjoyed it from page 1 until the end!
It was a smooth read but I would have liked the story to be a bit more filled out. It had a good start but the middle and the end just ended too quickly for me. A nice quick story with nice sexy scenes.
I have to say I was a little disappointed, and actually likes the first book of the series better. Again, the depth in the characters just wasn't there for me. It was an enjoyable book, but wow I was reading it, I just had this air of disbelief around Me that kept me from totally getting into it.
