Him: the wealthiest, deadliest, and sexiest billionaire in London, with powerful friends and even more powerful enemies. He's the sort of man who laughs in the face of death. But the skeletons in his closet are closing in, and he must take drastic action soon or risk losing everything. Her: a nobody living in a threadbare apartment in a dangerous neighborhood of London. Drowning in her family's medical bills, she applies to be His personal assistant. But little does she know that the job comes with invisible strings attached :).
"Fearlessly Bound" is a gripping romance novel that explores love, duty, power, fate and destiny. It follows the story of Mason Campbell, a powerful and ruthless businessman, and Lauren, his supposedly personal assistant, as they navigate a forced marriage and discover unexpected love. The novel beautifully portrays their evolving relationship and the challenges they face, making it a compelling and heartfelt read.
I was quite agonized by the length and was hopefully waiting for the curling smut considering my growing desire for Mason but the incredible moments were more than anything I needed instead ❤️.
With its engaging story plot, perfectly developed characters and the writing style will definitely make you fan of this adorable work of art.
P.s * adds Mason Campbell to the fictional boyfriends list , Number: 3*💝💕
Obsessed. This story was … phenomenal. Just could hardly wait for each chapter. I loved the characters. Loved the character development ESPECIALLY Mason. The side characters were well written and played significant roles. Fake marriage. Forced proximity. Alphahole mmc turned Possessive mmc. Workplace romance. Strong willed fmc. Lauren Hart was just what Mason needed. And he didn’t even know it. Your heart will be ripped out of your body atleast three times. You’ll scream, cry, be outraged, experience moments of happiness. Very intense but damn this was a great series.
It’s mid. Some parts I didn’t like: LIKE HOW HE FUCKING ADMITTED TO KINDA LIKING HER WHEN SHE WAS 8 AND HE WAS 18!!!!! Like wtf was that.
I also didn’t like the overall plot, like tf? Why is family like that?
Also it was closed door so that’s good
The app that I was using sucked ass (Galatea) I had to wait for each chapter! I’m never using it again.
Also the only reason I started reading it is because I saw something on YouTube shorts and it was like “she accidentally texts her fake husband instead of her best friend: hey babe what time are we going out for lunch? And he responds with: oh I didn’t know we were going out love, anytime works for me.” Or smth like that BUT THAT WAS THE ONLY FUCKING REASON I READ THIS SHITTY BOOK!!!! AND THAT SCENE WAS NEVER THERE!!!!!!
This almost feels like it was written by a 12 year old. For the first time ever the goodreads reviews were positive i should have known that’s a red flag 💀. Its not even cheesy in a nice way its just horrible. Oh and the overuse of the word “bloody” to emphasize that they are British like stfu pls😭
DNF. Stopped after book 1. Neither character were likeable at all. For a series set in London the characters could not be less “English”. Boring and slow.
(NB - I read an eARC for NetGalley under the new title of Fearlessly Bound. No book is currently on Goodreads for that title to date. Publication date noted as the 8th March 2024.)
The writing in this book is very confusing and choppy. Lauren comes across at the beginning as as meek, mild, low class, passive, etc, but her inner narration reflects a conflicted woman, thinking sometimes nasty thoughts and that everyone hates her. (She has some pretty rude opinions about other people throughout.) Her character development is seriously all over the place. She's has been hired as an assistant to Mason, a billionaire (sigh), after accidentally finding herself in his office - with a gun pointed against her head.
Nothing made sense. Mason gives her his password and tells her to answer his emails on the first morning? Not knowing her, after zero training for the job of a high powered businessman's assistant?
The narration is constantly referring to his mesmerizing silver eyes, his muscles jumping through his Armani suit, bicepts are huge, how frightening he is, broad, tall, powerful, gorgeous, hot body, smells good, is mysterious, has plump red lips, is also a jerk, etc. I got it after the first couple references. Lauren immediately hates the woman who showed her to her desk area? Because she's perfect;y groomed? Also, I assume this is supposed to be a romance - or erotica - I didn't care to find out.
The banter and dialogue was cringe-worthy throughout and my head was swimming after five chapters, so I just couldn't continue reading any longer. I skimmed a bit more and my position on this book didn't change. I usually know within the first few pages if a book will appeal to me and I applaud myself for reading as much as I did.
I've been gifted an eArc from Netgalley and the publisher in return for my honest opinion - and that is - I can't finish. It's pretty bad, especially when I got to the bit when Mason shakes Lauren. Sic - "until I though my breath would never return." Then he tore up her resignation letter some time later.
I have no interest reading any more, sorry. It needs a major overhaul.
This really feels like one of those short Chinese drama with uncomfortable drama. Way too many unanswered questions. No character development.
It read like it was written by multiple authors. The audio didn’t give it any service. I’m assuming it was an AI reading?
I was hoping it would pan out. Have a pay off, it did not.
Some editing hiccups.
No clarity on their intimacy.
Jude, Sebastian, his mother, Dominic, Rebecca, Anthony, etc.
They were brief characters that barely got storylines and we were told how to accept her interpretation of them.
Not gonna read the other 2.
I read cause I saw a FB ad for the story and thought, if they spent money on the book, why not.
But I should’ve removed the why and kept it a not.
I don’t like the immature relationship between the two. The illegal elements. The predatorily nature. The age gap was never addressed. The submissive weakling accepting illegal bs stuff is not for me.
Also, 4 months? No. I don’t want to be told how to feel and what to expect. I want to be a journey and discover character feelings and reveal storylines.
Book had potential, but because it is only available on a reading app that you have to buy by the chapter, this book hovers around promising a lot and deliverying nothing. HE: insults his assistant constantly, gives crazy orders and requires her to meet with him at 3am, asa well as responding to his phone calls in the middle of the night. HER: She takes the abuse and insults, a little Anastasia-like (from 50 Shades). Marries him via contract to pay for her dying parent's medical bills, he is still dicatating rules to her.
SPOILER: Her parents aren't her parents, she's kidnapped and he has to save her, all while in the 1st book, they still haven't kissed. No steamy sex scenes by most of the way through book 2.
Grammer issues, spelling mistakes and a vague plot that pivots and appears out of no where.
There are much better other books out there to enjoy. Try the Renegade Series by Rebecca Yarros instead.
The general plot of this book was good! It was the whole mean, billionaire boss falls for his assistant in this contract marriage he forced her into.
However, the banter between them was off, there was random plot twists that weren’t needed, our main character Lauren started to become immature. There was a lot of mistakes and inconsistencies with the story line that I’m not even going to bore you with the details of.
Overall, this book needs an editor very bad. The book the flow was off and it made things chaotic at the very least. There’s two more books in the series but I’m ending it here.
I just finished the first book on Galatea. The Spanish translation of this part is really poor.
Most of the characters are not fully developed, and the 'mafia' storyline is weak and unconvincing.
A significant part of the plot revolves around the idea that the main character is rich and can get away with everything. I'm sure there's a target audience for these kinds of stories; I'm just not a part of it.

Amazing book. Written so well!! I could have used a 4th book. The characters draw you in and the stories are suspenseful and grip you and have pivots and just so so good. An amazing love story. Parts made me laugh and cry. This book sucks you in.
Awwww the END was so good i cried. The tensionn between the characters was just so freaking hot. There werent any spicy scenes witch it took me by surprise but I woudnt have this book In any other way. But I got to say THE PLOT TWIST was crazy but loved how it turned out. READ THIS BOOK!
ok so this was a wattpad read cus I was fucking bored and I was like yk fuck it and decided to read a grumpy morally grey marrige of convenience she falls first but he falls harder (LIE she tottal obssed it was poorley written but whatever its wattpad) obssesed red flag of a man bokk
so so so so so messy yet mildly entertaining at the same time I'd recommend The wall of winnipeg and me for those who'd wiah to read something with similar plot but well written
I actually liked this for a romance book. Up until they finally “fall” for each other. To be fair, I always lose interest once they realize they are in love.
