I kept having flashes of that country song, “take a drunk girl home”. The first time I heard the song I got judgmental and though ugh yuck, but I wasn’t listening. Just like the song, this book is super sweet yes, the main character is dealt a hard hand one night and goes looking for the bottom of the bottle. Yes, it was a bad decision, but does it make it not Christian? No way. Let him without sin cast the first stone, right? I like that he was there to rescue her from a bad choice. I like that he gave her a safe place to recover. This was chivalry. And while this wasn’t heavy handed Christian romance, it was certainly there in the budding faith and beautiful. I loved the message about love having more to do with accepting someone as they are. I loved the novel inside the novel. I love books talking about books. It makes me smile. It was a quick, easy to escape my reality, kind of book for a quiet afternoon. Definitely recommend. I’ll be reading his brother’s Story soon.

A second chance at love :)

Ludwig Fabrinni (32) always exquisitely dressed, works for Parlance Publishers where the final installment in James Darcy's series on the One Hundred Years War has been cancelled. He has now been made head of the Romance department! Married at 18, dad a year later to a beautiful daughter Rosalie (13) and divorced at 21 he admits that he has no clue what romance is. He has not had a serious relationship since but is on good terms with his ex wife and sees Rosalie on a frequent basis. His brother, Haydn, is 10 years younger and his mother is a sprightly, missing nothing, older lady.

Kirsten Friedman kept herself pure for her wedding night at the age of 25 only to be dumped the very next day be her then husband, Galen. He left her pregnant with their son, Lyle (5). Galen is now married to Myra and Kirsten just sees Lyle on a weekend. Kirsten, a romance writer just waiting for a break, is broke so when picking up Lyle, she asks Galen for $500. He then tells her that until Kirsten finds a job, Lyle needs to stay with him and Kirsten can come over on Sunday afternoons!

Devastated, Kirsten heads to the local bar and has an alcoholic drink for the first time in her life! Of course one drink leads to another and she is soon nearly falling off her bar stool. Who should be in the bar that night but Ludwig, Haydn and Farley, a friend Ludwig has not seen in 8 years. Farley tells Ludwig to go rescue the girl at the bar. He catches her just as she falls. She dumps the last of her drink down the front of his very expensive suit.

The next thing Kirsten knows is that she wakes up in Ludwig's bed! She thinks she is in the bedroom of Adonis (god of beauty and desire)! Everything speaks of money and in fact the two of them could not be different in that respect. Kirsten is broke whilst Ludwig is from a family with money and works through choice, not need. Whilst at work, who should call but Ludwig's mother (quite an hilarious conversation) and then who should turn up later but his ex wife and Rosalie!

It turns out that Kirsten has submitted her novel to Parlance but doesn't let on. Ludwig now offers her a job reading romance novels! Kirsten makes a deal with him that he has to read the first novel (hers) with her. Reading a kissing scene, Ludwig just doesn't get it. Kirsten, incredulous, suggests they do an exercise. Ludwig had forgotten the power of a kiss!

At Rosalie's 13th birthday, Kirsten gives her the purity ring her father had given her when she turned 13. A very touching moment. When Kirsten is talking about Galen and Myra, Ludwig realizes he knows Myra. How will Ludwig help change things between Kirsten and her son? Meanwhile something fishy is going on at Parlance. Ludwig receives an email in error and is horrified. What will he do? The right thing or the easy thing?

Is he learning what true love and romance is?

This, the first book in the Best Dressed Series, is a well written story of two broken people getting a second chance at true love.

At the beginning the author warns that "this story may contain graphic and/or sexual situations not suitable for younger readers, but are framed by Christian morals and solutions. I agree with this statement plus want to add that if you are looking for a good romantic read where the man treats a woman the way a woman should be treated then this is for you. HOWEVER if you are looking for a good romance where Christ is in the center of a couple's relationship as well as a man treating a woman the way she should be treated then this book may not be for you. Although written within Christian morals (no sex before marriage etc) and extremely tender, there is very little mention of God in this story and certainly nothing talking about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and making Him Lord of your life and marriage.

Just so you know, I was given this book to read with the understanding that I would write an honest review. That is exactly what I have done. The comments are my own and I am not affiliated with the author in any way.

Suit by Suzanne D. Williams is a great story that makes for very enjoyable and entertaining reading. Ludwig Fabrinni is a man that many would envy. He has a great job, money to buy anything that he wants, and he definitely wants and has a wardrobe full of expensive suits. Even though he feels that he has everything that anyone could ever want, he does not have love in his life. He is the director of a publishing company which publishes mainly educational books. Ludwig’s life hits a snag when his boss makes him the head of the new romance department. When Kirsten Friedman comes into his life everything changes. Both Kirsten and Ludwig have been in love before but now they are going to learn the meaning of real love. Things really get weird when Ludwig receives an email that was not intended for him.

Typical of Suzanne, she does an excellent job developing the characters and their dialogue is right on target with each one saying what you are hoping they will say. All the action taking place in the story was very well written and I almost felt myself to be right in the middle of what was happening. There was a good bit of suspense in the story which added greatly to the fun of the story and kept me guessing as to what was going to happen next. I was expecting the story to have a happy ending and I was not disappointed, in fact it was even better than I had imagined. As with all of Suzanne’s books, Christian values are woven throughout the story. I am definitely looking forward to reading the next book in the series. When I first started reading the book I thought that Suit was somewhat of an unusual name for a book title but by the time I finished the book I thought that it was the perfect title.

I highly recommend this book to everyone that loves a feel good romance with Christian love and forgiveness woven throughout the story.

Thanks to the author, Suzanne D. Williams, for providing me with a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

I am giving this ebook five stars for such a sweet and inspiring romance story for it was quote a page turner. One was not quite sure what this main character was going to do next! Yet, I would recommend this ebook for adults only or for a mature young lady only! I I liked the way this guy wound up falling in love with the young gal that he was to rescue and how it all turned out well for this young lady as well as for himself. I received this ebook for free and now have given it an honest review! Super job Suzanne! By Angela

I loved watching the characters develop in this book and how real love brings out the best in the other person. The conflicts were interesting with Kirsten handling herself with grace and Ludwig finding his softer side while standing up for his woman. Both have been in "love before" but in each other they both find out what real love is. Cozy book- great read for this winter! This book will warm your heart in spite of the cold outside. I was given a copy of this book for my honest review.

Short and sweet novella. The premise of the suit being a symbol for the man who has it altogether is good. The backstory on the heroine is believable, but the sudden resolution is not. The romance is good and clean!
