Riveting Trapped thriller as Jason is being sought by the Chinese and his own government. Jason sets out to find the assassin who opened fire at his friend's new Boston bar, believing himself to be the target. He is immediately thrown into the middle of an ethnic Asian gang war with far reaching government ties. Typical Trapp thriller with non stop action, twists and turns with old and new characters. Very entertaining.
I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
The story begins with Jason in Boston celebrating when an unknown individual enters the bar and starts shooting at random. As a result, two people are killed and several are injured. Because of the shooting which Jason believed was meant to kill him, Jason begins to search what was behind it. His initial search led him to the Triad gang in Boston, but as he learned more, he then moved on to Washington, D.C.
The more that Jason discovered resulted him in uncovering a plot that would lead to a major impact on the country. Jason had to rely on a few of his old friends since he was shut out of the connections that he would use in his normal course of events.
To learn who was behind the attempt on Jason, what other individuals were implicated, what major event Jason look to prevent and how it all worked out in the end, then you must read this book. Once you start the story, you will find it hard to put down until it is finished. Don't miss out!
Not enamored with this one. It was good, most of Slater’s stories are good. But this one was hard to follow the quite convoluted plot. I also skipped a couple big sections of it…fight scenes that go on and on and so brutal. Fighting is brutal but this went on for pages. Also strange was the amount of disguise elements that seem to be magically available for a guy with not much baggage, temporarily living in sparsely appointed safe apartments. Jason always seemed to be kitted with just what he needed at that moment. Magically. Duffle bag miraculously with stick-on logos for both agencies to fit whatever the situation called for. Standard gear? Or amazing forethought to have them created, printed, glue added, etc. I found it fatiguing to read.
Jason does it again. This time he is being hunted by the Triads, Koreans and the Chinese. All to save his reputation which got leaked to the public. Jason did a lot of espionage things and contacted help in Timothy Greaves, Madison. The McGuffin of the story was Project Tiptoe. It had a great premise. Though for not even one second did I thought to myself the bad guys would ever get it truly. Li Chao was a great antagonist for Trapp. They did set up a possible future book/mission at the end. Overall, the threat was okay, I guess. To get to the summit felt like forever. Guess it was the journey to it. I will get the next book but don't know If I'll read it immediately.

I love the Jason Trapp series. Jason doesn't go looking for trouble, but it sure seems to find him no matter where he is or what he is doing. Eyes Only will keep you on your toes and will keep you turning the pages. As Hangman tries to unravel a devious plot he is accused of turning rouge and is constantly trying to stay ahead of the bad guys enough so he can put all of the pieces of the puzzle together, and so he can stay alive. If you have enjoyed the previous Jason Trapp books, this one will not disappoint. I gave it 5 stars and am looking forward to the next Hangman adventure.
Another exciting Jason Trapp story. It starts out calm enough. Then the shooting starts. People are killed and friends are injured, all in the attempt to kill Jason Trapp. If you have been reading this series, which I am sure you have, the perps made a critical error in not killing Jason. He will follow them wherever it takes. Their reasons for wanting him dead go much deeper than it first appears. Too much page turning action to unpack here.
There’s a lot going on in this latest Jason Trapp adventure. The plot was probably very clear to the author, who may have had it all laid out on a storyboard. But for the average reader, it was sometimes hard to follow. Points off for the unbelievable amount of kit Trapp is able to magically source toward the end.
With so much upheaval in the world, this story could almost be happening in the shadows. Jason Trapp has his hands full and must enlist the help of some shady characters in order to break up a far-reaching conspiracy involving foreign agents and our elected officials. This was hard to put down!
Brilliant, fast paced action. Very descriptively written. So many twists and turns, proper bingeworthy reading. Great read alone or read the set you won't be disappointed. Anyone who likes Reacher, Sam Pope, Beatrix Rose, Gabriel Wolf and all the other undercover protectors of our world will enjoy Jason Trapps exploits.
This book in the series did not disappoint. Fast moving, continuous changing page turner. (spoiler alert) Some how, Jason survived the most terrible fights and beats the bad guys😊
Jack Slater is off the hook with this new offering. Jason Trapp, one of my fave heroes, is dragged back into service with this riveting, action packed, gripping story of espionage and treason and revenge. I could not put it down. One, if not THE BEST read of the year!
This was another intense, suspenseful, and extremely complex story that will keep you guessing until the end. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
This is a fantastic book. I love Jason Trapp and his associates. This book is exciting from cover to cover. I have read all Jason Trapp books and this is the best one yet. Extremely well written with lots of twists and turns.
This is the best book in the series! What a story! Plan to have time to read it to the end because you won’t want to put it down. The geopolitical story in this book is one I’d never imagined until now. Can’t wait to read the next one in this series!
Jack Sister's Eyes Only is yet another of his fast paced, action packed Jason Trapped novels. I wasn't sure how our hero we going to survive this one. Be prepared to stay up all night reading. I couldn't put it down.
Would have been a 5 star rating had the book been 100-150 pages shorter and the identities of the antagonists been more clearly reiterated. Great story but overburdened by too much filler and confusion.
This was maybe my least favorite in the series. I had a hard time remembering all the names and which country they were fighting for and how it melted together. Still 4 stars with the ending and the action.
Jason Trapp saves the day once again! Well written. Exciting plot. Believable characters. The ending is quite surprising. Looking forward to the next book.
I read about 20% of the book and put it down. I usually enjoy Jason Trapp books. I came back to it. It became more intense and I began to be more interested. A decent book, but not Jack's best, by far.
Once again, Jack Slater has written a fabulous book that is full of intrigue and twist and turns. I would recommend this book to anyone who’s interested in what could happen in the world of espionage.
I do love the Jason Trapp series of books and I enjoy Jack Slater as an author. Though I liked this book, it was a bit long-winded. It kind of seemed unnecessarily long.
