I didn't think I would like him that much and I don't think I would like him if I knew him. But at times his writing is very relatable lmao even 700+ years later and it made me laugh at times. He obviously is a person who tries to balance his own expectations of others while also appreciating the common ways of human beings and the ways that we connect with others. I liked the tonal changes from entry to entry. It felt more personal.
I rarely write a review for books or movies but this book is so good. I fell like you can put every single sentence on your bio as a quote. The book is quotes that somehow makes sense. It’s just so poetic how a book from the early 14 century is still so topical today.
