Emma was attracted to her new boss from the moment she laid eyes on him, but all that went away the moment he opened his mouth and she realised he was a grumpy sourpuss. Jack was crushing on his new assistant from the moment he met her, but knew he had to do everything within his pour to maintain a professional relationship with her.
What Jack didn’t know at the time was that Emma was best friend p’s younger sister, so this solidified his decision to keep his hands off her. However, their attraction for each other increased the more time they spent together, which led to a first base encounter. Unfortunately, Jack’s life and his business were put in jeopardy, so they joined forces to try and resolve the issue. Experiencing a near fatal encounter together gave them the courage to finally acknowledge their love for each, but receiving the life changing news confirmed they want a happily ever after.
This was an intense, dramatic enemies to lovers romance, with a bit of angst, steam and suspense woven into the storyline. It really can’t get any better than finding yourself so engrossed in a book, that you actually switch your mobile phone off, when it rings. It is a definite must read book, that you won’t be disappointed when reading it.

There was tension between Dylan and Vanessa the first time they met, but everything went downhill after they had a drunken one-night stand and Dylan left whilst she was still sleeping. However, circumstances brought them back into each other lives again and Dylan’s attraction for Vanessa made him led him to take steps to spend more times to get to know her better.
Unfortunately, just as Vanessa started realising her feelings for Dylan, she discovered he was the person she had the one night stand with and this caused problems in their budding romance. Luckily, their friends were able to help them resolve the issue and help them get back on track towards their forever happiness. This was a really enjoyable story, with a playboy and a feisty girl in a storyline that has lots of angst, drama and spicy bits, that would keep you glued to the pages. Fern had resigned herself to concentrate on just her daughter and work ever since her husband passed away, so she wasn’t thrilled to discover she had to share a room with the arrogant and grumpy buy she was working on the project with. Arnold was a playboy who was really passionate about his work and wasn’t looking for a permanent relationship. However, having to spend time in close proximity with Fern on their business trip, led him down a road he never expected to travel.
Unfortunately, a picture taken of Arnold and Fern whilst on the business trip created a scandal, which meant they had to pretend to be in a relationship. Whilst it was meant to be fake and temporary, their attraction for each other contusion to build, as they spent time together and their relationship changed. However, a misunderstanding caused Fern to walk away, which made Arnold realised what he would be losing if he didn’t fight to get their relationship back on track.
As luck would have it, Arnold was able to convince Fern of his sincerity about their relationship, which gave her the confidence to finally acknowledge her true feelings towards him, so they would work together towards becoming a family. I really enjoyed reading this slow build, heartfelt love story, that had me hooked from the beginning with the exciting banter between the characters and the steamy moments that left me squirming on my seat. I like the box set, as I enjoyed the original standalone books. I can also see there were some revisions of each story, so that's definitely a plus!

Seriously difficult to review. There were fantastic parts but in the end I could not finish. There are books with one grumpy character you are waiting to come around. But I don’t like either characters. I tried. I really tried. But I just couldn’t get over how much I disliked the characters.
