Through the Knothole is a family drama revolving around a boy with a brilliant imagination who lives alone with his brutish father. Not every boy is motherless because of his father's violent ways, but Will Jensen happens to be one such boy.
Harry Jensen was controversially acquitted on murder charges after his wife's sudden death. Now he and his son, Will, live in a new neighborhood where Harry's infamy is less known. His temper, however, is unabated, leaving Will alone to try and survive his father's unquenchable wrath.
However, Will finds a way to create a dream young adult fiction life when he discovers a knothole in the wood paneling of his bedroom. By staring into the knothole long enough, Will is able to land in various action adventure situations, where he encounters Becky, a mysterious girl the same age as Will. However, Will's strong imagination has met its match in Harry's violent temper.
Harry finally loses his tenuous grip over his self control one night when Will causes a fire in the kitchen while trying to cook his own dinner. When Harry's mental meltdown is mixed with children and fire, the story roars to its inevitable, yet surprising conclusion. Through the Knothole is one of those rare Kindle Short action ebooks that will cause you to hug your children; once you find your breath again.
Where is the rest of the book. I gave it three stars in hope that their is some more to the story. It started off interesting, and imaginary, but then I got lost.
