Ira N. Levine's fifth edition of Physical Chemistry provides students with an in-depth fundamental treatment of physical chemistry. At the same time, the treatment is made easy to follow by giving full step-by-step derivations, clear explanations and by avoiding advanced mathematics unfamiliar to students. Necessary math and physics have thorough review sections. Worked examples are followed by a practice exercise.

One of the best text on Physical Chemistry one can get their hands on. A must read book if anyone is serious about understanding physical chemistry. The author logically derives every equation (and not simply presume that they are true, like some other authors) and presents their importance in a very easy to understand manner. The problems are well thought and tests the reader's understanding quite nicely.

This is the worse book I’ve ever encountered. I wish I could change my biochem book rating because it didn’t deserve the 1 star. This book doesn’t either, it deserves 0. If I never hear these 2 words strung together ever again my life will be better for it.
